Nikolai Vassago has a plan.
His day starts out fairly normal. Get up, kick some ass, fondle his beard, take some names.
One second he’s participating in a normal every day mission, and the next he’s saving the one woman that fate has promised him for the rest of his life from the grips of a criminal mastermind.
Nikolai can’t say he’s altogether displeased with what he’s given

Lani Lynn Vale really is blowing me away with this series! This entire fantastical world she created captivates me deeply, in every detail portrayed. She really makes me want to be a part of it. No, that’s not true, she actually makes me feel like part of it, and I love every single second of it!

I Like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie, introduced us to this universe, but Dragons Need Love, Too showed us even more of this complex world and its hierarchy, and how perfec

It was Nikolai's turn to find his mate and she just happened to be the unconscious, broken girl he rescued from a Purist compound. In the last book, I Like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie, Brooklyn's uncle attacked the dragon riders, shot her, and tortured her as a means to an end. Family, right? Nikolai felt a compelling urge to rescue her, not having a clue that once he touched her, he'd never be able to let her go. She was his destiny and her life had changed... even if it happened while she lay ...more

I liked this book was a LOT better than the first one.
I didn't like Keifer on this one.
I loved the heroine and hero.
I can not wait to read Ian's book.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than the first one since I knew going into it what to expect or actually what not to expect. Writing was good and it made me smile quite a few times. The world building was actually more detailed in this one. The dragons powers and the magic were explored more.

I loved the first book in this series but this one was a big mess. No tension, development or resolutions, we're told and not shown. I don't know what happened.

This picks up straight after the first book with Nikolai rescuing Brooklyn from her Uncle who has been torturing her. She spends weeks in a coma and wakes up not remembering anything that was done to her. When she's told what happened there was no reaction at all. When she's told she's mated she's a little annoyed until her friend basical

Cute. This was the second book in Ms. Vale’s PNR series and I liked Nikolai and Brooklyn’s romance better, mostly because the worldbuilding wasn’t the focal point, and there’s some good scenes establishing their relationship and dialogue that made me care about the characters. This is a world where the heroes are bonded to the dragons, but not actually shifters, and that’s a change that I enjoy reading about. It’s imperfect, but fun and I would continue with the series. I had this on my kindle f

The first book was stronger than this one. I liked the whole world created. Dragons and dragon riders are seriously cool. The sex is hot, not going to lie. This is a continuation from book 1, so i would defintly say to read them in order. If you are looking for somthing eas and fun this series is for you. I liked the characters, they are fun and what kept me engaged. What i loved the most were the dragons, they were really cool.

I loved the second book in the series. This was a great read. Lots of fun and lots of great characters. I really need to read Ian's story, and we still need Farrow's story. With all the other dragon riders too, this could be a long series!!! ...more

Dragons Need Love Too is a continuation of the I like big dragons series that I gobbled up! This book focuses on dragon rider Nikolai and his newly found mate, Brooklyn. At the end of book 1, we discovered that Brooklyn was being held hostage and tortured by her uncle and his batshit crazy followers. The dragon riders save her, but she is in BAD shape. However, Nikolai knows right away that Brooklyn is his mate. These two have a bit of a tough road ahead. Her uncle's followers and still ou

Fun read! Good characters!
Brooklyn is a great character and I especially liked reading from her POV. I did wonder why an Amish fundamentalist group/family would name their daughter Brooklyn. I guess I would expect something more bible-y? Maybe it’s explained in the first book...? No matter, I really enjoyed the ride.

I’m not big on PNR, it’s just not my thing. It pains me to admit this, but I went into the first book of this series, I Like Big Dragons and I Cannot Lie, hesitantly. I’m such a huge fan of Lani Lynn Vale’s that I just didn’t even want to entertain the possibility that I could be disappointed by one of her books. Well, a lesson was learned over here, folks, because not only did I love that book, but I’d include that book (and this one) on my list of top favorite books by Lani Lynn Vale. So, need ...more

“Hard headed, stubborn as hell, bad asses.”
Oh my YES! This series is all about going big – dragons, emotions, danger and love. There is no middle ground when life and relationships are at stake and wishy washy is for the other guy… And there are none of those here as alpha takes on a capital letter and the younger Vassago brother has a new woman in his life… I was waiting anxiously for Nikolai and Brooklyn’s story and, sigh, it was… everything…

Book two in Vale's sexy action packed PNR series-I like Big Dragons-picks up where book one left off. This series revolves around the Vassage family. While the romance is self-contained, the storyline is on going and I don't recommend these are standalones. I liked this one even more than the first story. The development is tighter and the dialogue flows better. The couple is better developed and even though the mating bond is prevalent; they aren't absorbed by it to the extent of ignoring life ...more

I'm not going to lie. I was disappointed when I figured out that this book was about Nikolai and Brooklyn and not a continuation of Keifer and Blythe's story. But I read on because I curious about Brooklyn and I instantly liked Nikolai.

The story was pretty good in the fact that its about Nikolai and Brooklyn and their connection to each other. But it was in way as consuming as Keifer and Blythe's connection. They just kinda were together and their whole relationship was weird, but I think Nikola

I loved this book and this entire series, so it seems that I have found a new author I am in love with. Everything I have read so far from Lani Lynn Vale I have quickly fallen in love with and been sucked into the story and the world she created. In this series (and like the previous series I read from this author I'm going to review the three books in a lump sum because right after each book I couldn't wait to review it because I had to read it right now). We get a nice new twist on
Loving this series!!

This is Nikolai and Brooklyn’s story. We met both these characters in the first book in the series. Nikolai is Keifers brother and Brooklyn is Blythes best friend who was shot by her uncle. Nikolai rescued Brooklyn at the end of the last book from her uncle who had kidnapped and had been torturing her.

The beginning of this book we find that Brooklyn is still in a coma and hasn’t woke up. However, that didn’t stop the mating process from happening between her and Nikolai.

This one was a bit better than the last one, but it drove me nuts how no one listened to Brooklyn or discounted her thoughts and ideas. I also liked that Nikolai didn't push Brooklyn on the mating, but let her discover things on her own and then let the relationship go at it's own pace.

The best part of this one was the Christmas miracle at the end. It was worth all the other crap that went on in the book.

I was not expecting Brooklyn to be so badass. When we met her in the first book I was left with the impression that she may not have a backbone.

Boy am I glad she proved me wrong.

Nikolai has met his match in every way (and so has Keifer). I loved the chemistry between them, but I just mainly loved Brooklyn for all of her strength, for standing up for what she wanted against everyone around her, and for calling Nikolai out when he was taking her for granted.
3.5-4 stars

I read this a few weeks ago and thought I did a review but now I can't find it and my memory is terrible so this will be very brief. I remember that I liked the story, even a bit better than the previous book. I do remember there were some parts I thought could have been better but overall I liked Nikolai and Brooklyn and was happy with the progression of their relationship and how they got their HEA in the end. :)

I didn’t really connect with Brooklyn and Nikolai. They felt like one dimensional characters going through the motions. And this is totally a “it’s me not you”, thing. Main couple aside, I loved the rest of the characters and was intrigued with the story.

And all those dragons?! Whether the dragons were big or small, I found them all charming and they became my favorite parts of the story.

Lani Lynn Vale’s contemporary dragon world continues to come to life as more details about its people, their powers, and their dragons come to light. In book two, readers get Nikolai and Brooklyn’s story, but Keifer and Blythe are very much a part of the storyline as well. Keifer is now the King of the dragons, and he and his pregnant queen are doing all they can to keep their people safe in their war against the Purists, but as the danger gets more intense and their enemies start using their ow ...more
I loved this one more than the last and I honestly think it had more to do with Nikolai's dragon. She was a riot! I have enjoyed every single book that Lani Lynn Vale has ever written and I know that I will continue to do so. She has really taken some chances with her writing and I must say that it hasn't been a bad thing. This series is so wonderful and I know that she only has three books planned for it but well here is my shameless begging.....PLEASE PLEASE can the sister get a book and Ian r ...more

When I saw that one of my favorite authors was starting a new series, and not only a new series but doing a paranormal series I was both excited and anxious at the same time. So when I read the first book I thought okay this is a different twist that this book whore is going to love. When I started Dragons Need Love Too I was excited and looking forward to getting more and in the end I really enjoyed it. I sugges
