A first class analysis of what the US should learn from its (long) interventions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Hooker and Collins are the main contributors (and editors) with experts contributing chapters that relate to their particular fields. It is well written in a crisp and accessible style and, importantly, pulls few punches in identifying what could have been done better.
