FABULOUSLY ENTERTAINING !!!
Title: Terigan's Trials
Series: Guild of Dragon Warriors
Author: A.K. Michaels
Designation: Book Two of Series, Can Be Read As Standalone,
My Rating: FIVE FABULOUSLY ENTERTAINING STARS*****
Hot honeyed clootie dumplings! There be dragons ahead, folks, lots and lots of sexy dragons! I'm totally smitten with A.K. Michaels Guild of Dragon Warriors! Michaels has delivered the goods yet again with Terigan's Trials, the second riveting release in this remarkable saga. The Guild of Dragon Warriors Series features a courageous, selfless group of dragon warriors dedicated to the protection of the world's innocent, persecuted and downtrodden, but interestingly also includes an underlying interconnected storyline which relates back to the premise for Michael's previous series, The Black Rose Chronicles, and additionally includes recurring appearances of many of its characters as well. I would like to preface this review by saying, this book could probably be read as a standalone since the author does include quite a bit of the backstory from the Black Rose Chronicles; however, to increase your understanding and enrich your reading experience, I would still highly recommend reading at least the first book of the series, Jaxon's Sanctuary. Each story in this series is centered primarily around a particular warrior finding his destiny, and in this particular reference means discovering not only his destiny as in his fate, but also his 'Destiny' which in this context of the word is the equivalent of a soulmate, a blessing previously denied all dragon brethren for hundreds of years. This series is totally unique, as is all Michaels' work, and completely unlike anything I've ever read. I became a devoted Michaels fan several years ago after reading Sabrina's Vampire and The Witch, The Wolf and The Vampire Series, and now I devour everything she writes. Michaels is a gifted storyteller as well as master wordsmith with a boundless imagination who is excels at creating remarkably original worlds and then populating them with unique, well developed characters.

But I digress, let's talk about the mechanics of this story. The story is original, exciting, fast-paced, heartwarming and well crafted. The dialogue is smart, sassy, well executed, at times humorous and flows effortlessly. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple points of view from several of the characters, which I love by the way. I enjoy the story so much more when the author gives the reader more than one perspective. It gives us a better comprehension of not only the story, but also the characters, allowing us a glimpse into their thoughts giving us an enhanced understanding of their behavior and decisions. And that thought brings me to my favorite element of all Michael's stories, the characters. They are captivating, intriguing, engaging, sexy as sin and quite often, funny. I always fall head over heels for her loyal, courageous heroes and sassy, kickbutt heroines as well as her masterfully written villains, the kind we all love to hate. And the two protagonists of this story are no exception. I totally fell in love with the brooding, brave and devoted fire dragon Terigan, and his Destiny, the feisty, fiery, red-haired Luna. And as in the first book of the series, Luna is also not human, but I'll not be the one to spill the beans about what she is. No spoilers from me but I will say you'll be shocked again although the author did throw in a few clues along the way. This is one of the things I love most about Michael's books; she draws her readers into the the story with these little mysteries and surprising tidbits, keeps us guessing and always on our toes! I was so darn tempted to thumb to the back of the book in order to discover Luna's secret.... but I didn't! Somehow, I managed to resist the temptation! lol... No, really, I didn't peek! Terigan and Luna were a perfect pairing and played off each other brilliantly. Their interaction and banter was engaging, at times hilarious, very sexy and totally entertaining. I loved it! But I will admit, I've had quite a 'girl-crush' on the handsome, fearless fire dragon Terigan since his introduction in Battle and Betrayal, the final book of The Black Rose Chronicles and was thrilled when I discovered the second book of this series would feature him. Terigan was the valiant dragon who was mortally wounded while trying to save the Black Rose from certain death in the battle with Basilius, the King of Hell. Swoon..... so brave! He and Luna counterbalance each other completely, neither outshining the other. Utter perfection! This book demonstrates yet again that Michaels is a true master of her trade by skillfully combining every single one of these story elements to craft a delightfully entertaining paranormal tale filled to the brim with danger, drama, action, adventure, suspense, angst and sweet, heartwarming romance.

Basilius, the King of hell has finally been defeated, but the cost was great and many of the dragon's new allies were killed in the battle. Jaxon, Master of the Guild of Dragon Warriors was seriously injured as well as two of his warriors. Terigan, his second in command, and Allyssa, his ice dragoness comrade, are both mortally wounded during the battle and required healing by their Dragon Goddess Zeeandra. Jaxon and his Guild of Dragon Warriors have long dreaded the day their existence would be revealed to the world exposing their closely guarded secret, a village populated entirely by supernatural beings they'd rescued and protected from certain death. The dragon warriors have long feared for their safety but now that Cassius Allarde and his new mate, The Black Rose, along with their allies have defeated the King of Hell, the safe harbor they provided is no longer needed and many of the residents are ready to venture out into the world to hopefully find remaining members of their families who may have also survived the destruction caused by the war between the species which nearly destroyed the entire world. Ironically, it's both a happy and sad development for the warriors but fortunately for the dragons, their Goddess Zeeandra has decided the time is finally right to reward her faithful warriors with the ultimate blessing, their Destinies, a gift which has been denied them for hundreds of years. Jaxon, the Master of the Guild is the first dragon warrior to find his cinneamhain after recently rescuing Sidra from another evil demon. They are now happily mated and Jaxon has just received instructions from their Goddess for an urgent mission of utmost importance. Terigan, and strangely only Terigan, is to travel to the Highlands of Scotland to assist the Dragon Warrior Dughall in apprehending a group of rogue wolf shifters led by a crazed, corrupt alpha who is creating mayhem by raiding settlements and killing everyone who tries to confront him. The villainous alpha of this group is holding a group of prisoners, one of which is having a very strange effect on Terigan. For some reason, he's inexplicably drawn to the mysterious and beautiful red-haired captive. His unexplained feelings as well as his sex fueled dreams of the two of them together are playing havoc with his mind and his willpower. For the first time in his life, Terigan is distracted and it's affecting his ability to perform his job. And for the life of him, he can't figure out why. Oh my! Poor clueless Terigan! The beautiful, battered prisoner is none other than his Destiny! The evil Alpha wants to claim her as his own and has already killed her mother and sister in an attempt to force her to submit to his will. She's in grave danger and is running out of time! Oh no! Will the valiant Terigan be able to rescue the mysterious young woman before it's too late? And if he does somehow manage to pull off this miraculous rescue, will she ever trust him enough to reveal her secret? More importantly, could she ever love a monstrous fire dragon like Terigan? We'll see! No spoilers from me but I will say this...... Courageous dragon warrior-check! Feisty, mysterious young woman with her true identity shielded by magic-check! Danger, drama, action, adventure and suspense-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion and sweet romance-you bet! That and a whole lot more!

When reviewing and rating a book, there are several questions I always ask. First, what did I love about this story? I loved the originality and uniqueness of the world, characters and premise for this entire series. Also, it's truly a pleasure to read an A K Michaels' book. They're always exceptionally well crafted, well written, well developed and well edited with beautiful covers and professional formatting. I very much enjoy the interconnectivity of the storylines and recurring characters. I was immediately drawn into this story and quickly became immersed in the stunning world my mind created as a result of Michaels' detailed and skillful writing.
Second, I ask what didn't I like about this story. Actually, not a darn thing. When reading one of Michaels' book, I always wish they wouldn't end, that I could just keep reading, but I know that's not possible nor practical. lol... They're just so darn good that I get caught up in the story and completely lose track of time.
Third, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only to adult readers since there are a few dreamy love scenes.
Fourth, will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book!
And finally, was I entertained? Good gracious, yes! I was totally entertained! I loved it! 'Fandabydozy' entertainment and an awesome read!

*Gifted in exchange for my honest review*

OK, So I saw this pop up on my kindle and thought I will just take a peak...oh then I looked up and I was 50% through!

Where did the Time Go?

The first book in this series got me hooked on these Honourable Hunkalicious Dragon Shifters and when 2ic Terigan is told that his Goddess Zeeandra, is sending him on a secret mission to Scotland.

We meet Scotland’s resident Dragon Warrior, an ancient named Dughall who has been staking out the Alpha of a pack of rogue Wolves.

Terigan finds his usual cool calm and collected manner is MIA when he catches scent of a battered woman who tries to escape the network of cave tunnels, he nearly blows his cover and is both confused and embarrassed that he is acting like such a rookie in front of Dughall.

The Alpha has been terrorising the area and has several captives, so Terigan cannot just barge in guns blazing ( or rather knives), he must wait until the Alpha comes out of the maze of tunnels, so not to alert the pack that they are under surveillance.

Who is this mystery woman... why is she so important to Zeeandra and why is Terigan unable to resist her pull? Those who have read Book 1 will have a good idea who she may be...

SO - what did I think? Well Ms Michaels has a great track record of hooking me into her paranormal worlds and this is turning out to be a fantastic companion series to the Earlier one set in this world which started with The Black Rose Chronicles, Deceit and Lies, Book 1 and the best bit is we get find out how Rose and Cass are doing in this book...

No Spoilers - you will have to read it to find out, but strongly recommend that The Deceit and Lies series is read first, then Book 1 of this series before you head into this book, as they run chronologically.

As this book ends (No Cliffhangers BTW) you are left wondering what else is in store for our Guild of Dragon Hunters and I am eager to find out what they will be. I think Dragons may be my new favourite things.

Terigan has been selected by Zeeandra, Dragon Goddess, for a secret mission. Whilst the rest of the Guild are dealing with the exodus from their haven, he is off to SCOTLAND! Limited details are given about his mission, just that he has to get there quickly. With a helping hand from my favourite Chinese God, Kuan, he blinks there and finds himself in a whole mess of trouble.

Dùghall, Scottish Master, has been on the trail of a rogue werewolf. He has enslaved and killed and as Terigan and Dùghall search for clues, Terigan sees a flash of red hair. With an disregard for protocol and procedures, he feels an overwhelming need to save the female attached to the flaming locks. Unable to get to her in time, Terigan and Dùghall hatch a plan to save her and any others they come across.

Luna has been abused and debased by the rogue werewolf and is close to giving up. He killed her mother and sister in front of her and she knows she won't last much longer. When to hulking dragons swoop in and declare that they are there to save her...well excuse her for not putting out the bunting! Where were they when the madman was slaughtering her family.

A frosty truce develops and as Zeeandra's plan unfolds, we learn that this Goddess is never too busy to do a little matchmaking between her dragons and their destinies!!!

I loved Luna and Terigan. She is all strong, deliciously sexy wolf ....with a little something extra!!!! Terigan is wonderful as the fish out of water visitor to the wet and windy shores of Scotland. With a chance to catch up with Jaxon and Sidra and the rest of the Guild dragons, I loved the way the story is separate from but continues the story arc set down in Jaxon's story. You will come away from this book with a slew of new insults in your arsenal. Ms Michaels peppers the story with Scots slang which I loved (as a proud Scot I didn't even have to look up any!). You also get introduced to some..ahem delicacies of Scotland.

There are surprises, action, adventure and of course passion laced throughout this addictive page turner! A fab new addition in the AK Michaels stable and personally I can't wait for the next!!!!

The second book in the Guild of Dragon Warriors series was eagerly anticipated by me, and the cover blew me away. The follow on to Jaxon's Sanctuary sees the dragons within the guild now able to return to loved ones and seek out a life of safety and protection....it's mixed emotions for all!

Excerpt:
...Some of the people leaving have been here with us for more than twenty five years. I'm going to be sad seeing them go, but this was always our end game, keep them safe until they could leave in peace without hunters on their tales. That time has arrived.

With the Goddess requesting Jaxon's right hand man to make a trip to Scotland what would be in store for Terrigan?

Excerpt:
He has to go to Scotland and that it is a matter of utmost importance. Advise him to search out the Dragon that guards the Highlands and await further instruction.

With the help of a past character, (Kuan) will assist his speedy arrival to assist Dugall. But the poor American, Terrigan, struggles with his emotions as he learns more about the job ahead and not to mention the Scottish lingo! AK Michaels never fails to make me chuckle with the slang we use but others fail to get their heads around!

Whilst all this is going on, one of the Sanctuary members, aims to find the family she left behind all those years ago...but would all be as she left it? Would her daughter be someone we already know?

Mary excerpt:
"Thank you...for everything. You and the rest of the Guild have worked tirelessly all these years to keep us safe. I know I'll never be able to thank you enough for what you've done.

With changes ahead for the dragons and impending fatherhood for Jaxon it's an emotional and highly fraught time for all...new beginnings for their kind having not had a baby in their midst for a number of years. Everything seems to be finally falling into place...

Final excerpt:

"I've no idea who you are, Warrior, but I have a feeling...that you might be someone important and as I've nobody else to be with, I think I'll go along for the ride and see where it leads us."

As usual Ms Michaels had me in her thrall as soon as I started to read this amazing follow on from the first book in this fantastic new series, Jaxon's Sanctuary. The Goddess of the Dragon Warriors, Zeeandra, has asked Jaxon to send his right hand man and best friend on a mission to Scotland. This is Jaxon's homeland, and he wondered why she didn't ask him? He was admonished for even thinking of asking her and doubting her order! Terigan is who she wants, so Terigan is who he sends. What happens when he gets there is fantastic, amusing and really, really exactly what we expect from our Ms Michaels. Terigan has to stop himself from blowing the whole missions just because there is a female he has got whiff of, and he just HAS to get to her! What he does, and how things turn out had me glued to my kindle. The characters, the Scottish humour and accent that had him completely at a loss for words at times, and of course the mission itself, teaches him to keep his cool and to help the aged Dragon who guards the Highlands. Himself a giant of a Dragon and has the ability to be completely silent when flying. That alone gave Terigan a few wee frights. And again, as is her want, Ms Michaels leaves you on a cliff-hanger and shouting at your kindle! You know she is going to do it, but you are never aware of where or when, so when it does happen you get really frustrated and yell. I know I do. This is a thrilling sequel to the first book and I cannot wait for the next one!

WOW WOW WOW Terigan trials will blow you away, without spoiling the book this is going to be so hard to write a review as so much happens within the story you are pulled all over the place which just spins your head, this book is totally amazing, poor Terigan is sent to Scotland at the goddess’s bequest, with no information as to why! but as always the warriors always do her bidding without question. The warriors in camp are saying a sad fair well to the witches and other people they have always kept safe thanks to the vampire king Cass. Will Mary find who she is looking for? And how will that turn out hope we find out in the next book? Terigan is trying to learn the lingo in Scotland and having a hard job doing it, whilst trying to come to terms with the feeling he has for a woman he’s only seen a glimpses of, but will he ever get to her and get her home safe, on top of that poor Jaxon is going out of his mind with worry over his mate. OH I really am struggling to not tell you what has happened, this is an amazing book that you must simply read, it has everything you could ever want in a fantasy read and I simply cannot wait for the next instalment it is a totally brilliant tale, scales and all .

REVIEW

*May contain spoilers *
This is the second book in the Guild of Dragon Warriors Series and Oh my I have to say it's my favorite so far. Terigan is best friend to Jaxon so when the Dragon Goddess Zeeandra calls on Terigan to go solo on a mission even Jaxon is concerned.
Terigan is off to Scotland to join in a mission with one of the oldest Dragons alive. They are thrown for a loop however, when Terigan senses throws him off course. The old dragon knows what is going on but just sits back and laughs. The main goal is to save those who are being held against their will. We do get many surprises in this book as well.

In this book we get our beloved dragon shifters, suspense, a little mystery and a whole lot of loving. Fantastic second book in this series and I cannot wait for the next.

Terigan is confused when the Dragon's goddess Zeeandra sends him to Scotland to help sort a problem there but the reasons for her decision soon become very clear, much to Terigan's shock.
If you've read Jaxon's Sanctuary, book 1 in this series, then you'll know that book contains a unique character, so when this book also produced a uniquely different character, to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement.
This story holds a couple of unexpected surprises along the way, one I guessed at then had confirmed from a subtle hint in the dialogue (1 point to me) - nice touch Ms Michaels - but the other slipped right passed me till the last moment before it was revealed (1 point to Author) I do like a story that keeps me on my toes.
It was also nice to see some familiar characters from the Black Rose Chronicles make an appearance, I love the way this author incorporates characters from different series, linking them together in the way she does giving the reader a more complex and interesting story to follow and showing that her plots and storylines are well thought out.
Yet another fantastic read.

Guild of Dragon Warriors (Terigan's Trials #2) by A.K. Michaels

5 out of 5 stars
I was given this book for an honest review….
I have pretty much have read all of A.K.’s books I just simply love them all. A.K. is an amazing author who writes amazing plots with amazing characters. Her books transport you into the stories she writes.
Zeeandra the Dragon’s Goddess orders Jaxon the Master of the Guild of Dragon Warriors to send Terigan on a secret mission to Scotland. After all Scotland is Jaxon’s homeland.
Zeeandra will explain no further on this mission only that it’s the upmost urgency; but she sends Kuan, a Chinese God, to transport Terigan halfway around the world and both Dragons realize this mission is of vital importance.

Terigan meets up with Scotland’s resident Dragon Warrior and he reveals that a woman is being held captive by a pack of rogue Wolves. The stakes are enormous: Terigan must risk his life for the sake of a stranger, without even knowing why. But his Goddess and Master have placed their faith in him, and he won’t let them down.

This book as a few surprises in-stored for you and it should blow your mind. I just simply loved this book.

What can I say? This series is getting better and better. I don't want to post any spoilers. I was given this arc in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, if you haven't read the first book, Jaxon's Sanctuary, then get on it. You won't be disappointed.
Terigan is on a very important mission for the Goddess. Why he is sent to Scotland when there are Guild Warriors over there is beyond him. Her reasons for sending him soon become apparent. With his mission complete, he returns home with his reward for a job well done...
The camp members who were in hiding venture out into the world to find their loved ones. Hoping they are still alive. Will they be welcomed back by those they find?
I like the way Ava has written characters that link to her other books and ties characters together whilst still enabling them to have an individual story. (if that makes sense!) If I hadn't already, I would want to read the others. I'm sure there is LOTS more to come and I can't wait!

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Guild of Dragon Warriors series by A. K. Michaels. This is a great series that I look forward to reading the next books. Jaxon is the Master of the Guild of Dragon Warriors, he is puzzled when Zeeandra, the Goddess of Dragons orders him to send his best friend and most trusted warrior, Terigan on a secret mission to Scotland. Once Terigan gets to Scotland, the resident Dragon Warrior reveals that a woman is being held captive with other by a pack of rogue wolf shifters. When Terigan spots the woman for the first time, he can’t understand his strong feelings and that he would do anything to protect her. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.

Terigan’s Trials book #2 in the Guild of Dragon warriors picks up were we left off in Jaxson’s story. Jaxson and Terigan are both puzzled why he is being sent on a secret mission to Scotland, which is Jaxson’s homeland, but the both know that Zeeandra their goddess has her reasons. This story is fast paced and has many twist and turns not just for the Guild of Dragon Warriors but for The Black Rose and her family. I don’t want to give anything away, but you as a reader deep down know why Terigan is being sent to Scotland. Also I love how the Guild’s story is wrapped around The Black Rose. Once again when you hit the last page, you are left wanting more. Thank you A. K. Michaels for your wild and wonderful imagination, and masterfully turning it into wonderful stories taking us the readers on an adventure of a life time.

Terigan is given his own private mission from his goddess. More than a little puzzled but always ready to do his job. He makes his way to meet with Dùghall the Master of the Guild of Dragon Warriors, in Scotland. He doesn't know it yet, but this is a mission of a lifetime. A mission that will turn his whole world upside down....

Jaxon and Sidra are settling into there lives together. He had wanted to do the mission to Scotland, to go to his homeland. But can't think of no better warrior to send than Terigan his right hand man. With Sidra expecting he needs to be close to home...

Lots of surprises in this book, that will have you turning page after page, to find out what happens next. Love these characters...Could just get lost in the world that A.K.Michaels has created. Can't wait to read more of this amazing series

Another great read by this amazing author!!! This book picks up where the 1st left off and while camp members are leaving The Goddess sends Terigan on an important mission in Scotland. When he gets there he works with the dragon there to save a woman but what is it about her that's making him need to get her. It's fun how he reacts to the Scottish phrases and accents.

I always enjoy how the author tells a story for one character but has several side stories going on. In this story Jaxon and Sindra are back and there's a surprise for one camp member when they find a their family. Another story you just can't put down and leaves you wanting more! This is book 2 of the Guild of Dragon Warriors and it picks up right where book 1 left off. Terigan is about to leave on a mission helping those who had been staying in the dragons camp to get back to their families, when he is given a new more important one by his goddess. Both him and Jaxson are told he is the only one who can handle this mission. When he arrives in Scotland he meets the dragon that is already on the scene that he will be assisting on this mission. Once they start trying to take care of the rogue, he finds that his destiny is among the people captured by this rogue. This is a fast paced story and just like the first one leaves you wanting more when you hit the last page. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series. Ava is one of my favorite authors!

This is like joining old friends and picking up where book one left off when we read about Jax finding his Destiny!! We move on to Terigan's story and how he finds his Destiny. This books made me laugh out loud and at times it made me sad. But it also lifts you up and the end leaves things open for the next book which I am really looking forward to!! Luna is feisty and also sweet and I really like the characters in this story. We also get to see glimpses of Rose from The Rose Chronicles and how life for these characters is getting better. I definitely recommend this book, especially if you read book one! Well done Ava, I can't wait for book three!!

I've loved everything I've read from Mrs. Michaels, but I confess that I dropped everything I was doing to finish reading Terigan's Trials! The house is a complete mess, but it was so worth it. I adored the characters and the banter about linguistic differences between Scottish and American was absolutely priceless. I laughed and I cried throughout the whole story because emotions run high and the passion is real. I recommend buying the first in the series if you haven't already, then plan a staycation because you'll need some time away from the real world to immerse yourself in this fantastic universe created by Mrs. Michaels. Looking forward to her next book!

Ooh, and this series keeps getting better and better. Terigan is just as badass as Jaxon, but even the best of dragons can be brought to his knees as soon as he meets his Destiny. I never thought that after The Black Rose Chronicles I would be able to say this, but heck if I don't, Jaxon, Terigan and the dragons might just trump that. I am eating my nails in anticipation of what comes next. I might have an idea, but AK Michaels just loves to keep us on our toes. Hurry up, I have serious withdrawal symptoms at this point. I was kindly gifted an ARC in return for an honest review.

Zeeandra, the Dragon’s Goddess orders Jaxon to have his right hand and best warrior Terigan on a mission but she wont explain anything. When doing a recon fly over he spots a female and goes crazy and does not understand why. Waiting is not for Terigan but when the time comes to save the prisoners he finds the beauty with the green eyes, his destiny.

I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This is book 2 of the Guild of Dragon Warriors by the author. What a fantastic book in the newest series by the author and if you have read book 1 you will want this book also.

After reading the first book in the series I really didn't know how A.K.Michaels was going to top it, but as usual she did not disappoint!! Full of action, romance and intrigue with a surprise appearance from characters from another of her series this book was fantastic. I could not put it down and read it all in one go. I really can't guess where she is going to take this series next and I can't wait to find out!!

PERFECTION

Once again Ava takes us on a wonderful journey of a few different people. Of course Terigan was the main, but we still learn more about Jax and Sidra (love that name btw). Everyone is involved in the action. No one will be disappointed in the story, might want to yell at the author for a moment or two. But then that's makes a great book leaves you going, damn write another book I want more. Wonderful job as always...

Until Next Time... Tabi

I was given and ARC for an honest review. This book continues from Jaxon's book. You see more Jaxon and Sindra but get to learn more about Terigan and see some of the characters from another of her books. Fans of Michaels will not be disappointed and those who aren't fans yet will become one. It's a great read!

Guild of Dragon Warriors, Terigan's Trials: Dragon Shifter Paranormal Romance

This second story was every bit as good as the first, the way that Duggall had to keep telling Terigan to keep control of hi m self was comical but this was funny that I laughed and I have not enjoyed a book so much I loved it
