One of the Fitzgerald House series, this tale focuses on youngest sister, Dolley, who is certain her dream of becoming a professional photographer will never occur. After all, she's the sister with no talent, the one who fades into the background behind her sibs, so talented in the kitchen and with landscaping. It doesn't matter that all three of them have made the Fitzgerald House B&B such a draw in Savannah, soon to be joined by nearby Carleton House.

Then along comes Liam Delaney, doing what his godfather wanted by delivering ancient letters to the Fitzgerald family from relatives who remained in Ireland. Liam has always wanted a family and never really had one. What he discovers in deciding to do a documentary about the Irish in America, especially focusing on the Fitzgeralds is that they are the family he always wanted. Though he's traveled the world as a photo-journalist and documentary filmmaker, he's unhappy, unsettled.

Wouldn't it be great if he changed places with Dolley so that she could travel the world and he could put down roots in Savannah? Too bad that's not likely. Or will it? Dolley convinces Liam to teach her by letting her be his intern as he films the area and the family. But when he finds out her goal is to transfer what she's learned from him into a paying job, he's certain that she's only using him. He was badly burned by a previous intern and once burned, twice shy, as the saying goes.

As if that hurt isn't enough, Dolley doubts that Liam really likes her for herself. Rather, he wants to be a part of her family, and helping her out may just be a way for him to have that particular cake.

How all this is resolved makes for a satisfying summer read.

The only reason Liam Delaney comes to the Fitzgerald House in Savannah is to drop off some letters. He’s somehow related to the family. After his godfather passed away he learned of them, plus a stipulation in his will. What he didn’t expect was Dolley. She intrigued him. He found himself being her apprentice and teaching her some photography. She was good, but she needed a little guidance.
There was more to Dolley then meets the eye.

Dolley wants more then anything to be a photographer. Her family doesn’t know how much.
The only person who sees it is Liam. She can’t believe he’s willing to take her on as his apprentice.

See what happens between them.
