Yeah... ok.... the idea of the story is good. But it miss the plot and deamatize moment. As result it feel really 1 dimensional story.

Characters also not helping. The writing does not make the chemistry between characters flaming.

Tell Me Again was an enjoyable story about a second chance at love and apart from some issues with the hero, I enjoyed it.

To escape her neglectful mother and reckless twin sister, Samantha Carlton used her newfound career in modeling to leave town which unfortunately meant leaving behind the boy she loved. After Sam broke his heart, Trevor Kincaid sought comfort from her sister which resulted in a daughter. After Grace tracks Sam down, Sam and Trevor are forced to resolve what happened all those

This is the first story I have read by Michelle Major, a contemporary romance. The story's plot was a bit different that the usual romance, sadly the story was a bit slow. Our female heroine moving on from her past, comes to grip with the fact that the boy she loved and left behind has returned into her life. The kicker is he has a daughter by her twin(who is now dead) She desperately wishes to have a relationship with her niece, but tries not to have fee

Sam used to work as a model. She and her identical twin sister Bryce started doing this when they were teenagers. While Sam used her career to escape her alcoholic mother and the hometown where nothing good would ever happen to her Bryce stayed behind. Bryce was reckless and things didn't end well for her. Sam still feels guilty about abandoning her sister. She also abandoned Trevor, the boy she loved. She wanted him to come with her and he wanted her to stay. By leaving she broke Trevor's heart ...more
I liked this story.

I don't think it was the best but its a nice feeling sort of romance. I don't really think the ending is the best. Its a bit quick once he realises he was wrong. He does a lot of apologising for wrongs he has committed.

Sam is meant to be this gorgeous supermodel whose niece is a spitting image of her. She has made some bad decisions and is trying to right her wrongs.
E-ARC received thanks to the publisher and Netgalley.

Also on Oh So Mellifluous!.

2.5-3 stars.

Second chance romance is one of my favourite tropes ever. I'm always partial to the angst and pain in books and after reading the blurb on Netgalley, requesting for this book is a no-brainer.

What I Like

Shamelessly, I'm one of the people who judge a book by its cover. I'm more likely to purchase a book if the cover is pretty (gotta do it for the aesthetic ayyyy), and this book has one of the nicest covers

Samantha is a former famous model who gave up her career mainly due to guilt because she had issues being a sex symbol, and it causes a major estrangement with her twin sister Bryce. Samantha now runs a camp for troubled teens, and has a wonderful group of girl friends. But since Samantha is still haunted by her modeling days, she hides behind big clothes and downplays her beauty. One night when she returns home, she finds a teen girl in her house playing nice with her dog. Her name is Grace and ...more

I received an advanced reader copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, Montlake Romance.

One solid, gold, lackluster star.

Sam is the Aunt of Grace, who kind of shows up on her doorstep after tracking her down in belief that she’s her mother. But actually, Sam is her mother’s twin sister who didn’t know Grace even existed. We’re all a little unclear as to why for a while, but whatever. I rolled with it, so will you if you decide to read this.

Trevor is Grace’s father

I loved this one!! It's a wonderfully emotional story of a woman, Samantha Carlton, who had run far and hard from her old life leaving a twin sister, mother, and boyfriend behind. She had to get out of there though and neither her sister or boyfriend would come with her. Now she's shocked when a young girl knocks on her door claiming that Samantha is her mother. News to her!! There's no denying they are related though. The girl looks just like Samantha and the sister she left behind. What a way ...more

Sam and Trevor were inseparable as teens. Then she went off to the modeling world and escaping an otherwise miserable life. Years later his daughter shows up wanting to know if Sam is her mother. From there we go on a tumultuous ride of back and forth good times and bad times. Choices, second chances, regrets. A lot of emotions. How to make all three of them happy? Doesn't seem possible.

Story grabbed me from the first. And kept my attention all the way through. Very well written and I enjoyed i
This book started off good but as it went on I liked it less. I just didn't care for the characters. Plus I found Sam and Trevor's relationship to be bad. She has a past that she clearly hasn't gotten over and he doesn't like sharing his daughter. Which made the whole thing a mess. Yes they got it together in the end but by then it was too late for me.

I really enjoyed this emotion driven storyline featuring a second chance relationship between two people who have suffered through the consequences of a series of events that left them both shattered. Many years later, Samantha is still mourning the loss of her twin sister while she blames herself for not being able to change the course of events that led to her sister's death. This is a complicated storyline filled with emotional land mines that Sam, her niece Grace, and Grace's father Trevor h ...more

This is the first book I have read by this author. The book was sweet, no explicit sex scenes. Sam's story and everything she went through made me feel a connection with her. It was harder to feel a connection to Trevor who kept yo-yoing Sam around emotionally by being involved with her then distancing himself and emphasizing that Sam was not Grace's mother. Trevor never really explained how or why he hooked up with Grace's mother, and it seemed odd that Sam would be ok being involved with him a ...more

Way too self -deprecating

Goodness! Sam was painful to read. She had no growth what so ever, and everything bad happened was because she was genetically a bad...person? From her leaving, to her sister's death, to her modeling career, to her looks, to her camp...the list is endless. I like to read about growth in a character, someone who messes up, but figures it out without all the woe is me vibes. Then you got the fact that it was never really addressed about her boyfriend being with the sister

Who opened Pandora's Box? In this case, it was a girl named Grace!!

Wanting to know more about her Mother, Grace does some investigating! Sure, she loves her Dad but can't help being curious about her Mom. I'm excited for her when she finds clues that lead her to someone who may be her!! What she finds is something totally unexpected!! Her father is NOT happy at all with Grace, or her discovery!! I wondered why! How could Trevor think that he could hide Grace away forever!! Would he have ever tol

The mistakes of the past impact the decisions of the future. Tell Me Again is a convoluted story of youth, betrayal and healing. Trevor and Sam have a complicated history that culminated in a trail of broken hearts and promises unkept. At the center of the heartbreaking drama lies Sam's choice to escape a traumatic childhood and create a better life for herself. That decision put into motion a chain of events that changed the lives of Trevor, her first love and Bryce, her twin sister. Years late ...more

I just finished this one and I loved it! This book is second chance romance at it's best--it's both humorous and heartwarming and I couldn't put it down. I really enjoy Michelle Major's writings and Tell Me Again was no exception! It was so good. It's a funny and sweet second-chance love story with some great emotional depth to the characters. Sam and Trevor had great chemistry, and I was immediately pulled into rooting for them and their love story. The supporting cast added to the mix and I al ...more

2 Disappointing Stars

When I first heard about this book, I couldn't have been more excited to read it. For one thing, I fell in love with the cover and the synopsis really peaked my interest. I found the idea of this story to be interesting and I really wanted to love it. I thought there was so much potential here, but in the end, it just fell short. There were just so many things that were hard for me to get past, and I couldn't stand the constant Sam bashing.

Sadly, this book just didn't work

This author is new to me. This book stars with a thirteen aged girl looking for her mother but finds her mothers twin sister Samantha Carlton. Bryce is her mother she died and done it so San never new she had a niece and she finds out that Grace's father is her ex boyfriend from when she was younger Trevor is not happy to be reunited after all that time has past. This book is a good read and would recommend it to others.

This is one of the best second chance books I have read in a long time. I loved Sam and Trevor's story. It's amazing
Very good book, at times heartwrenchingly emotional and at others laugh out loud funny. It is a story of second chances, family and friendship, and learning how to trust again. Sam is a former model who used her chance at a modelling career to escape from a rough childhood. But along with the pain, she also left behind the boy she loved. Then one day her late sister's daughter tracks her down, a girl that Sam had no idea even existed. Sam desperately wants a chance to get to know Grace, but her ...more

I liked the premise of this book. I loved exploring the relationship Samantha had with her twin, which was tight but dysfunctional. I appreciated the history that Trevor and Samantha shared.
Trevor is not my favorite hero of this series though. Yes, as a single dad he operates in the "I must do all things to protect my daughter" mode. Yet many of his decisions are fear based. He makes progress then moves backwards so much the reader really struggles with whether he has actually grown or not. This

I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way alters my opinion of the work.

This book was kind of funny. The main characters are in their early thirties (I think), but it felt like I was reading about a couple of 17-year-olds. It was really just a YA novel with YA characters in "adult" situations, haha. Does that make sense?

There was nothing necessarily wrong with the story. The romance was kind of cute. I'm just a little bit over reading about these ri

Former super model Samantha Carlton and her ex-high school boyfriend Trevor reuinte in this contemporary romance based in Colorado. Oh, and did I mention Trevor had a baby with Samantha's twin sister while she was gone? Because he totally did.

To be fair, this isn't the type of book I usually read, but I did find this entertaining and light-hearted. Sam and Trevor go through the usual will-they-won't they and then break up and get back together dance you'd expect. Grace, Trevor's 13-year-old daug

The excerpt was so good and it became the reason why I wanted to read this book but this book disappointed me. The Hero was not likeable and he had so many mood swings. The heroine deserved someone so much better.
Out of 5 Star;
Hero-Trevor: 1 Star; The only thing good about him was that he was a good father
Heroine-Sam: 4 Star
Secondary character (see below);
Grace-Hero's daughter and heroine's niece: 3 Star

Good and....

Loved this book. The first two in the series for me kind of dragged, but this one was entertaining. Sweet, fun and a quick read. However, I had difficulty getting over the name changes of Chloe and Ben's niece and nephew...who does that? I was having significant challenges with that and almost stopped reading the book as a result. Not cool!...and a sure way to drive binge readers crazy!

First I will state that am a romance fan and regardless of liking the story I will admit that I hated Trevor.
Overprotecting parents only create really good liars and he was a complete asshole to Sam in no way was she responsible for her sister choices in life and him sleeping with her and she did, wish she would had end up with the music professor anyone else but him.
I normally wouldn’t care so much for fictional characters but Trevor certainly was one helluva ASS

Trevor Kincaid was an AWFUL hero. He kept turning on Sam, and then apologizing. There's a big blow up at the end and he has a 'revelation' of sorts, but it feels NO different than all of the other times he's made an ass of himself and then apologized. I have no faith in the HEA at the end because I don't believe that he'll be any different the next time something happens to make him doubt Sam. Ugh. She deserves better!

Good read.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I’m happy that Sam has found love, and she can be part of a family.
I gave three stars because there were a few things I disliked. For instance, the author changed the names of Ben Haddox’s niece and nephew from the second book. This made them seem much less real in my eyes.
Aside from that, it was a good read.

In a serious keep minor characters name's straight

I would have given this a 3 if it were not for the fact that two of minor characters from the previous book magically went from Abby and Zach to Claire and Anderson. This series had just been a light read for me wish that they were longer.
