About the author

Neil Smith, the DANDY DJ is a professional Wedding and Corporate Event DJ and Photo Booth provider located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee serving the greater Nashville market along with surrounding areas (Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia and more). Since 2005, he has delighted in helping people celebrate the special moments of their lives!

Neil is also the author of the books:

The Wedding DJ Bible

Pick A Perfect Wedding DJ

The Barn Wedding Book!

Psst! bride... here's how to DITCH YOUR DJ and all your other wedding vendors too!

Neil began his music career in 1986 when he dropped out of high school and hit the road as the guitarist for an obnoxious punk rock band called Stevie Stiletto. He spent the next 16 years of his life touring and recording in the world of punk rock before cleaning up his act, taking a bath and delving into the world of weddings and corporate events as a bandleader and solo musician. A few years into making a respectable living as a corporate and wedding musician, Neil added DJ services after many occasions where he was retained beyond his contracted ceremony and dinner hour time to play recorded music through his sound system. It only took a few times before realizing he should be offering DJ services and thus DANDY DJ was born. After a few years of providing both live musician and DJ services, it became apparent that the DJ services were much more popular and that the musician services were eating into better money that could be made as a DJ without having to manage musicians. Over the years, Neil developed a true passion for weddings and has honed himself and his business into not just a business, but a pretty awesome life. Does it get any better than this?

The book was very succinct and informative. I found myself repeating some of the lines allowed to feel how it sound like.
