Great read, a little background information about a little known system lord Kali. Would really like to read a story with the origins of the Gould system lords as Unas.

Great Quick Read

I read through this quickly and it was satisfying. Most of the major characters were included and many more were alluded to. If you are not a fan of Stargate: SG1, you will be lost as the plot intertwines several episodes. For instance, the author never explains who the Ree-tu are. Fans of the series know, but someone who has a passing interest in Stargate would be clueless. The character of Kali was well drawn. She was more complex than the standard Goa-uld. The "voices" of

His characterization of O'Neill was off but he did a decent job with the others.

It's not everyday one encounters the Hindu goddess of death and destruction - or at least an alien parasite masquerading as her. Kali's Wrath is a fast-paced but intricate read set in the Stargate universe (and during the TV series fifth season) involving different SG teams and the invisible insectoid race, the Re'tu. For mythology buffs, the story is nicely interwoven with Earth's (alternative) history and ancient Indian culture. And Kali makes a complex and formidable foe - with many ...more

Charming character-driven story

A solid plot combined with comprehensive character building. We get some backstory on the history of the system lords on Earth, and some well-developed new characters, as well as interesting interplay between the main and supporting characters. An interesting read.

I was excited to "see" the Reetou again (lol), but the plot felt thin (the book was on the small side) and most of the characterisations felt off. But I did like one of the OCs.

A short story, my only complaint is that the plot is kinda eh. I did still enjoy it but I felt that there could have been more excitement to the story.

A stargate on a small island surrounded by an frigid ocean is a mystery for SG-7 under orders from the SGC to do a standard recon but the rings nearby offer a chance to explore and so they do. Upon arriving at their destination they immediately come under fire as chaos and carnage erupts and blood is spilt. This Kali's Wrath begins and the pressure on the SGC continues to mount as old and current enemies threaten the Tau'ri, Tok'ra and the free Jaffa with the System Lord Kali at the center of ...more

Kali's Wrath is a Sci-Fi novel based on the TV series Stargate and is a new companion adventure to the shows for the SG-1 team. The book opens with a prologue for a mission to P3X-418 and standard recon for SG-7, however they are attacked by invisible beings called Reetou, and temporarily saved by some Jaffa.

The Jaffa belong to the Goa'uld Kali, whom they call The Mother Goddess, more Reetou take out the Jaffa who then try to capture SG-7 and only Captain Patel makes it home. With her she brings

Liked it a lot - an excellent addition to the SG franchise. The author did a good job capturing the characters. would liked for it to have been longer, with more scenes about Jacob and bra'Tac working together.
