the minotaur is all about a man son of the god which had to prove his love for the kings daughter in order to have her hand in marriage the king begged the gods for theseus to die so the king set a challenge saying that if theseus could bring the blood and head of the minotaur which lived in the maze he was up for the challenge the gods tried to kill him but the love for the princes was to strong the god of the see smashed theseus's boat toward the rock which lead theseus to swim to the island and retrieve the head so he could prove his love for the prince the prince loved him to.

The Graphic Greek Myths and Legends series pair a bloodthirsty Greek myth with a short graphic novel treatment - sure to appeal to reluctant readers. Each title chronicles an indiviidual myth and is prefaced with a summary of the gods and their relationships to the principle characters in the story. The maps and glossary are helpful and the bibliography and web links at the end provide additional information.
