I skimmed a lot of this, but learned quite a bit of scary stuff....like a fast-food burger is 12% beef max! Some are only 2%. yikes. Certainly supports my decision to eat mostly plants.
While much of this book contains arguments that affirm information that I have seen elsewhere, the manner in which this information is conveyed is problematic. The book is laden with righteous tirades and diversions. As with the Bulletproof Executive, it is hard to separate the science from the spin. Like the pharmaceutical companies against whom he rails, Pai is pitching for you to buy his products, attend his clinic etc. There are plenty of ways to learn about ancient Indian wisdom without shelling out wads of cash; indeed, the essence of that wisdom is that the quest for profit and wealth inevitably blinds. The commercialisation of spirituality is rampant and ultimately destructive.
Living healthfully is more often a choice than not. "Attitude is everything" may sound trite, but it is most often true. Dr. Sunil Pai is straightforward with an amazing amount of information regarding almost any health challenge.
This book explained about Many things we eat or do that causes inflammation in the body. I felt it was more for the lay, person as I knew most that was discussed. Some things I did not agree with so I would not reccommend this book. It seemed a venue to promote the authors supplements.
