Another delightful visit to Wagtail!

The dogs and cats kept me amused.

The mystery kept me guessing.

Holly and the staff at Sugar Maple Inn were engaging, as always. I have quickly come to care about all of them.

My only complaint is that Ms. Davis can't write faster than I can read. My dog, Sophie, and I will just have to keep busy until the next installment is published.

Dollycas’s Thoughts

The Sugar Maple Inn is hosting a matchmaking event – Animals Attraction, for pet owners. They have brought in their own matchmaker to pair up couples based on a very pet based questionnaire.

Where you cat or dog sleeps says much about you and who your mate should be.

As if running the event isn’t enough to keep Holly on her toes, her grandmother has secretly filled out a form for her. Her ex surprises her by showing up too. No, they were not matched together.

The Paws and Claws series has become one of my go to cozy mystery series!
I have fallen in love with Wagtail!💖
The perfect book to curl up with on a cold day.
Matchmaking with pets
Romance and shenanigans (my favorite mix)=humor
Two murders to solve with an abundance of suspects
This one kept me guessing until the end because I suspected just about everyone.
(I admit I needed the guide of who’s who a few times.)

Just finished Mission Impawsible by Krista Davis. I really wish that Wagtail was a real place. If you are not yet familiar with this amazing series and you are a pet lover, you need to read this series. Lisa K told me about this series just before the first book came out and I anxiously awaited its release. I have since read and loved each of these 4 books. The idea of a town where you can bring your pets with you on vacation is quite simply a wonderful idea for a cozy that is one of my most fav ...more

Two thumbs and two paws up for MISSION IMPAWSIBLE, the newest installment in the Paws & Claws Mysteries!

I am not the least bit surprised that MISSION IMPAWSIBLE was a brilliantly fun read. Author Krista Davis manages to make each new book in this series even better than the one before.

This fourth addition to the series features a match-making event for pet owners. What could be more perfect for the animal loving town of Wagtail, Virginia? Of course, not everyone is feeling the love. And in a co

It's always nice to go back to Wagtail for a visit. It wouldn't be a good visit without a mystery to solve. This one was as good as they get. I love the idea of a people pet match up weekend. Funny how the right pet finds us and we take all the credit. That's pretty much what happened at Animal Attraction weekend. If you like a little romance with your mysteries, you are sure to enjoy this one.

This is a purr-fectly lovely cozy mystery and a very easy and enjoyable listen. I really enjoyed the involvement and mischief of the pets. The human characters have some quirky traits that add interest and a little intrigue. This is the fourth story in the series but reads fine as a standalone.

Holly is helping run her grandmother’s inn, the Sugar Maple Inn set in Wagtail, Virginia. Wagtail is aptly named as they love their four-legged friends. The Inn is hosting a special week-end Animal Attract

Another strong cozy mystery by Krista Davis. This time, the town is hosting some kind of matchmaking event for singles and their pets. In an attempt to get Holly back, Ben has faked his questionnaire hoping to be matched up with her. Instead, he's matched up with another woman. Holly is matched with a man who is hot, then cold toward her. She didn't want to be matched at all, so it's not the end of the world.

Two deaths, pet hi jinks and all kinds of misunderstandings happen. In the end will the

If you've never read a Krista Davis book before this one is a perfect 1st read. Krista writes great stories that keep you going until the end. I love this series more with every book I read! This one was a lot of fun because there was not just one big mystery, but a couple of big ones, and a few little ones, and it added an extra element of suspense to the book to figure out what was, and wasn't, connected. I really enjoyed trying to piece them all together. Some of them ended up being very trivial, and then, of course, there's murder... and lots of things in between. It kept me guessing the whole time, and I was no where near solving ...more

I love Wagtail and wish there were a real Wagtail to visit! Fantastic character development including the personalities of the cats and dogs. The mystery was quite well woven and interlaced with the characters' personal stories makes this a wonderful read. You could read this as a stand alone book, but you would be missing out on some very great entertainment and personal develop of the variety of characters that enhances each following book. I absolutely love this series! I was so excited to be chosen to read and review for my honest opinion.
All of Krista Davis Paws and Claws mysteries grab you from the first page to the last. I do have to admit that this one is my favorite so far because of the Animal Attraction Matchmaking event going on at Wagtail. Pet lovers rejoice! This was another fun adventure spent in Wagtail. Just like the others, there is never anything dark or depressing about these books, they are just sheer enjoyment. I don't think I've ever guessed who the killer was in any of them due to the amazing plot twists and turns the author takes us on. Every time I read a Paws and Claws book, I feel like I'm back among friends.

There was a matchmaking event going on in Wagtail in this installment. It was summertime and people were wanting to fall in love

The Sugar Maple Inn is hosting a first ever matchmaking event for pet lovers. Oma has hired Macon Stotts, professional matchmaker, to fix up dog and cat lovers based on attraction between pets and a simple questionnaire. Oma is nervous for everything to go right. Then she meets adorable dog Cooper and his owner John who may make Holly rethink her decision. When a rude ...more

This book was impawsible to put down! I adore Wagtail and wish it was a real place (minus the murders). Krista davis is a master of misdirection and had me guessing (incorrectly) the entire time. I also loved the animal antics that went on throughout the book.

I’ve received this wonderful book from the author herself, in exchange for a fair and honest review. This should not be a problem, since I adore this series oh so much!

This was an interesting case. The town has a matchmaker in town who is using people's pets to help match them up. Of course Trixie finds another dead body which gets Holly involved in the investigation. At the same time Zelda is dealing with her ex and Oma might be trying for a match of her own. Plus the animals keep getting out of their rooms.

Mission Impawsible follows the lovable heroine, Holly, as she and her investigative team, Trixie and Twinkletoes, work to solve the town of Wagtail's latest suspicious murder. I loved reading about the picturesque town of Wagtail, Virginia and easily got to know Krista Davis' cast of likable characters. This is the first new book I've purchased in awhile and it was so worth it! I'm a big fan of Krista Davis's books and couldn't wait to get my hands on her latest. Wagtail is the type of small, mountain town that I'd love to visit, even though I don't have any pets and I'm not really a "dog person". While there is a lot of interaction with the characters' furry friends, I don't think it's overwhelming for readers who aren't as enamored with animals. The plot moves at a good pace, and I had a hard ...more
