I've been looking forward to this one for a long time, I really enjoyed Bree's story.

We learn in the previous books that Bree had a stalker in high school and that he will be getting out of prison soon. Because of the intensity and violent nature of her stalker she decides to go into hiding when he is released to make sure he doesn't start up again. I thought the book did a good job showing the long term negative effects of being stalked and showing that these guys rarely change their spots.

I've loved this series and have wondered about Bree, Braden's sister. I don't think this series needs to be read in order, as each book is about a different character, but you do get some background into each character if you read them all.

Bree has a stalker and he's ready to be released from prison. With the deaths of her parents, a divorce, and two young children to raise, she doesn't have the time or energy to deal with this guy. With the help of her brother, Braden, she goes into hiding...

I love reading Kimberly Krey books! She knows how to write chemistry and sizzle without crossing the lines of comfort for me. I've been waiting for this book- to finally see Bree's story come to life. It's always a happy day when I get a new book from Kimberly!

This is the third book in the Second Chance series. I don't think you have to read them in order as they can stand alone, but you will have a better understanding of the secondary characters and references to them if you have read the prev

Bree is a divorced mother of two. Her stalker is going to be released from prison soon so her brother, Braden, sends her away until they can figure out if her stalker is still obsessed with her. He hires Greyson, an old family friend who is in the protection business, to guard her. Greyson had a thing for her when they were younger but Bree wouldn't give him the time of day so he's hoping to make a better impression the second time around.

I can't imagine how terrifying it would feel to be stalke

I love how Kimberly Krey can write such a steamy story, yet totally clean. This book was full of suspense and plenty of steam. Bree Fox has been the victim of a stalker since high school. He's been serving time (which I think is awesome) and is set to be released. Braden, her brother who's story we read in Rough Edges: Allie's Story, has moved her from Montana to his orchard in Oregon to keep her safe while surveillance is run to track the stalker's movements. He's hired Greyson Law to serve as ...more

People make an impact on each other, both for the good and the bad. Bree has had some bad experiences and insecurities because of a stalker that caused her to fear and to loose trust in people. She put everyone in a box. She basically profiled the people around her based on their personality to decide who she could let in and who she had to keep out.

Bree's stalker is being released from prison. To keep him from finder her, she is sent to an orchard in Oregon, far away from her children and famil

Can I tell you how much I loved Bree's story? This girl has been THROUGH it. A stalker that crushes her sweet, outgoing high school spirit and makes her withdrawn and fearful. A marriage that doesn't quite work out. And now the threat of that same stalker coming back into her life, threatening not just HER peace, but now her children and loved ones. All this is weighing her down when she goes into hiding in hopes of avoiding a repeat with her stalker. While tucked away and in charge of managing ...more

This is the third book in this series, but can stand by itself (it's been a while since I read the first two stories in this series and I had forgotten a lot of the back story).

Bree is a divorced single mother with two awesome kids - Sophie (age 9) and Carter (age 7). She has been stalked by Carl Rosenberg for half her life. Carl has spent the last 5 years in jail and is getting out in 14 days when the story begins.

Braden, Bree's brother, owns an apple orchard off the Oregon coast that he bought

I didn't read the first 2 of this series and I still thought it was a great read! Bree's stalker is getting out of jail and she refuses to be a sitting duck, what she didn't realize was that her brother had hired someone to hide out with her. I really liked the way she came to figure out who she was while she was in hiding, being able to shed some of her old ways of thinking and actually start to heal from the years of being stalked, and even learning about things that had occurred that helped h ...more

This was a fast paced read with lots of good romance - and our leading man Greyson Law (hot name) was awesome. Great chemistry. Poor Bree having to deal with what she did from just trying to reach out to someone.

The only thing I didn't care was the wrap-up - after what happens in the end you'd think her children would have (view spoiler)

Bree's story was a fun, suspenseful, emotional, contemporary romance. This was my first book by Kimberly Krey and it won't be my last. In fact, after reading book #3 in the series I searched for the first two on Amazon and grabbed them so I could enjoy those as well. Yes, I did read the synopsis first for them and was just as intrigued to read them as I was book #3. I started with Bree's story first because well I got it as an ebook to review. I'm so glad I did because it was great. I'm hoping a ...more

Romance, Clean, PG-13 for passionate kissing and adult situations.
This was more of a 3.5 for me personally. This is part of a series, but it can be read on it's own. Bree and her children's safety are soon to be compromised when her imprisoned former stalker will shortly be released from prison. Her brother has purchased a property far from where she lives to provide a safe haven for her. But along with that safe haven, he also wants her

Awesome!

Ooh, I loved this one too!!! I loved Greyson - so patient, strong, protective, hot!! And Bree was so sweet and kind. The kids, Sophie and Carter are cuties! And it's so fun when characters from previous books get stories of their own, with a few visits from other characters as well to tie up everything together. I'm hoping Todd will be the next one to find love...

Fresh Starts was a lovely second chances story. Two people with pre-conceived notions of each other find themselves forced into each other’s company once again. One of them isn’t happy about this at all, while the other hopes that finally something may come of it. This part of the story alone was already entertaining, but add to that a stalker on the loose, and one of the characters in need of the others protection, and an elements of excitement is added. A lovely mix of romance and suspense, I ...more

This is the third novel to a series--that I haven't read. I understood what was going on and who was who, but there was obviously a lot of backstory that I was missing. That said, I still enjoyed this story.
Bree has been dreading the day when her stalker gets released from prison. Now that the day is drawing close, her brother has helped arrange a safe place for her to go. He has even arranged for a bodyguard for Bree.
The romance and mystery surrounding Bree and her new life was cute and well d

I recently won this book in a recent Goodreads First Reads giveaway.

Although this is not the first book in the series, I didn't find it a problem. An enjoyable read, with a good storyline. I hope to read the first two books soon. I rarely write what a story is about for fear of spoiling for others, but I do recommend.

Fresh Starts is a beautifully breathtaking second chance at a life and love that was never dared to be thought up or dreamed of for fear of it never coming true. We are greeted with such an emptiness that was never truly fulfilled yet still held onto from a distance by both hearts. While it may have seemed like nothing but a blissful wish in the midst of waking and dreaming, nothing could stop it from unraveling and flourishing in its own good and right time. The worst part of life could never s ...more

Bree Fox has to hide. The creep that she helped lock up 5 years ago is about to be released and she doesn't know if he's still after her or not. And, she has no intentions of hanging around to find out. Fortunately, her brother, Braden, bought a house in Oregon for the very purpose of hiding. He's also made arrangements to have the best of the best protect her, Greyson Law.

Greyson Law would never have agreed to this job had it not been

Wow! Talk about an emotional roller-coaster! Fresh Starts had me feeling everything from fear, heartache, to love and hope. This book is slow to start as it eases you into Bree’s story - please note that it alludes to some violence. Bree was stalked by a fellow schoolmate, and after a while, he was sent to prison for a few years. Now that he is about to be let out, Bree needs to pack up her life, say goodbye to her kids for a while, and make sure that she still isn’t on her stalker’s radar. You spend a lot of time batting for Grayson (Chase Rice, is that you?), and find out that they were each other’s high school cru ...more

FRESH STARTS was a perfect title for this story where the heroine leaves for the sanctuary of an apple orchard while her former stalker is released from prison. The story was sweet with romantic moments, and some suspense. It also included cameos from characters of the prior books in the series. Romance readers might enjoy this one.

I absolutely loved this book! I thought that it was well written and a lot of fun to read. There are some pretty steamy kissing scenes but nothing further. I think that there were a couple of swear words but not many. I love when a book can be good without the characters just going to bed together.

This was a delightful romance with an element of suspense. Though it was definitely clean there were a few steamy kisses. I like the plot of the book. She’s a reader of good, clean romance, a lover of family time and Diet Coke, and the ultimate hater of laundry.
