Okay, so this book is pretty dated...1996...and has quite a bit of words for my preschool audience but they LOVED it. It is, however, the attraction to this creature that draws them in. Mole rats are rodents who live in a eusocial society as many insects do. Fascinating creatures! Wish there were more books about them.
