Exciting, enthralling and exceedingly entertaining! I can't wait to see which brother will be seduced next!

KNIGHTS OF STONE: BRYCE by Lisa Carlisle is the third riveting, action-packed installment in the author's unique Highland Gargoyles series in which each book has spotlighted one of the Knights of Stone. I think a little background is needed here: The Isle of Stone is the home of three clans of beings: the gargoyles, the tree witches and the wolves. The Calder clan which was made up of most of the gargoyles who had resided on the island have relocated to the Highlands leaving five brothers who have formed a rock band, the Knights of Stone. Bryce is one of the brothers, the drummer for the Knights of Stone and the beta of the new gargoyle clan consisting of the five gargoyle brothers still residing on the Isle of Stone. This story takes place in two primary setting: the Isle of Stone and in the Highlands. A new villainous species is introduced, the sluaghs, who are creepy, bird-headed, two-winged demon creatures.
After the two previous books matched two species: a gargoyle with a tree witch and a gargoyle with a wolf-shifter, Bryce's pairing is with Mairi, a gargoyle. As the book opens, we meet Mairi, who is in hiding after barely escaping with her life from an horrendously brutal attack by the sluaghs that resulted in the destruction of her entire clan. Sadly, Mairi is the only survivor, and therefore, the last of her clan. She's had little time to mourn her losses as she is being hunted by the sluaghs and surviving has been her primary goal. When Mairi sees the winged creatures in the sky, her first thought is that the sluaghs have found her. Then... she realizes that these creatures' forms and flight patterns are familiar - and definitely not demons. She can't believe they are gargoyles as Mairi had thought that her clan were the only gargoyles in the Highlands. But, that's what they appear to be! When the gargoyles are little more than retreating specks in the sky, Mairi takes flight to secretly pursue them thinking that following her kind - whoever they are - is safer than remaining where she is as fodder for the sluaghs.
Bryce's book features epic battles and passionate interludes. It deals with love, loss, revenge and moving on. Mairi's and Bryce's romance is sweet and hot liberally spiced with a plethora of drama. Bryce is an affirmed bachelor with a full plate. He has no time for a relationship with a female that lasts more than one night, or so he tells himself. Fasten your seat belt as their HEA won't be a smooth ride.
Each of the books in this series can be read as stand-alones if that is your preference, but your enjoyment of the series will be increased if you read it in order.
Lisa's gargoyles are hot, sexy rock-hard rock stars. Each of the books in her Knights of Stone series have been exciting, enthralling and exceedingly entertaining and I can't wait to see which brother will be seduced next! I highly recommend KNIGHTS OF STONE: BRYCE to anyone who enjoys imaginative paranormal urban fantasy romances!

Entertaining, enthralling and awesome story
In this well written story we have one of the brothers, Bryce, who is Beta to their pack find a stranger on the Isle. He confronts her and finds out she followed him and his brother from the Highlands. She just went through a terrible ordeal losing her entire clan to some demon like creatures. Bryce and his brothers take her back to the Highland and their old clan, but something has to be done to stop the Demons before they hurt anyone else to include his old clan. This is a wonderful love story as well as having plenty of action and adventure. And it still shows how some males can be very dense at times until something hits them over the head to make them realize it. Loved this self-contained story that is also part of a series.

Great story of gargoyles and romance. You don't normally think of sexy gargoyles. But this band of brothers are. It is now time for Bryce to find the one. He will fight it but she is just perfect for him. Mairi is a gargoyle whose whole clan has been murdered. Now with the help of Bryce's clan she may be able to find revenge and the safety she needs.

I'm not a big reader of fantasy/paranormal romances but I did read this short book as well as the two preceding it in the Knights of Stone series. In comparison to the first two books this one is the equal of the second and better than the first. Like the first two the story line is okay, not very complex and written at I'd guess an 8th grade level reading level. That is except for the sexy parts which are definitely meant for adult audiences. This one has some action in it as the gargoyles battle evil demons from a different dimension. These are all short books that end rather abruptly with their H.E.A. Gargoyle meets gargoyle (in this one) or tree witch (the first one) or wolf shifter (the second one) there's instant attraction which our hero fights but eventually is overcome by as his protective gargoyle nature takes over. There's sex and then questions of what that means in terms of a long term relationship and then the gargoyle and the object of his affection realize they are meant to be mates. My problem with this story was that unlike in the first two books with Bryce's brothers Mason and Lachlan who fall for women who aren't the same species and who belong to groups that the gargoyles have an uneasy truce with, Bryce falls in love with a female gargoyle shifter from a different clan. So to my way of thinking all of this angst and reasons why the relationship wouldn't work just didn't ring true. Nor did the idea that as the beta of his clan (which was only comprised of himself and his 4 other brothers) he was too busy to be in a relationship. If Lachlan the oldest and the alpha of the clan had time for Raina the wolf shifter whom he took as his mate, why wouldn't Bryce have time for a relationship with Moira? If you're into the genre and you're not a very demanding reader you'll probably really enjoy this book. I just found it a pleasant way to kill a rainy afternoon.

Knights of Stone: Bryce is the third book in the Highland Gargoyles series. It features the second oldest of the brothers, who is also second in command. On a return trip from the Highlands, Bryce feels like he is being watched. With strange rumours of people being attacked, he is on his guard. What he finds though, was not what he expected. He finds a young Gargoyle woman, alone and traumatised, although still feisty as hell! When she tells him her story, he knows that the clan his mother and father belong to must be informed, otherwise all Gargoyles are in danger. He tries to ignore his protective instinct, which is going off the charts since he met Mairi.
Well, Bryce may have tried, but we all know how these things work. He didn't have a cat in hell's chance of withstanding the pull of Mairi, even if she wasn't actually doing anything! This book is full of action, although only one 'steamy' scene Bryce and Mairi. With demons to fight, brothers to contend with, and a protective instinct to overcome, Bryce has his hands full. This book felt very balanced, with equal time being given to Mairi and Bryce. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, and one scene flowed into the other. This is turning out to be a wonderful series, with excellent world building and characters. Definitely recommended by me.

Mairi is running for her life as her clan of Gargoyles were attacked and killed. They were attacked in her homeland in the Highlands. She ends up following the group that she saw flying and thought they were the ones that killed her clan. Bryce finds Mairi spying on them to their Island. Bryce falls instantly in love with Mairi and is ready to defend her is they get attacked. Will Bryce's clan be the next to fall to the demons? Will the Gargoyles be able to defeat the evil? I loved the storyline and the characters of Bryce and Mairi are fantastic. Love the HEA between them! Highly recommend this story and this series.

Bryce watched his brothers match with a tree witch and a wolf. He had no intention of making any match let alone their former enemies. Then he felt something following his brothers as they flew around the island. Not a wolf. Not a witch. What? A female gargoyle hiding? From what? When he finally got her story it was a horrific tale of monsters who had destroyed her entire clan and whole family.
Who or what were they?
While they determined what to do. How much danger were they in? His parent's clan. The more danger the faced the closer they drew to each other. If they lived through it all could they have a life together?

In the midst of her sorrow she spots two figures flying and recognizing them as gargoyles, follows them to their home. At first suspicious, Bryce believes her story and he and his brothers enlist Duncan's clan in the Highlands to decimate these demons. While Bryce is a force to be reckoned with in battle, losing his heart to Mairi takes no time at all!

This is the third book in the series and Wow was it amazing. It’s a fast paced forbidden Scottish gargoyle shifter hot romance read that was wonderful. I loved Bryce and Miri their chemistry and romance together was well written and kept my interest. The storyline was well developed and I couldn’t put it down. If you love hot alpha gargoyles with action adventure humor steam romance and love than this is a must read book.

loved it !! love this series !! love Bryce and Mairi... this is their story... a fast paced drama... Mairi is all alone now.. her clan gone.. she sees flying beings.. she follows them... She Is Alone
This is an exciting, sweet and hot read about the brothers coming back to the Isle of Stone with a female gargoyle trailing them. Bryce keeps getting a feeling that he is being watched. When his supposition is proven correct, now he has to figure out what to do with her. Enjoy I did.

Loved it! I have always loved paranormal stories but with this book the author's have put their spin on it all. The character's were interesting and the storyline was unique. Great addition to this wonderful series.

Lisa Carlisle's books are always a treat, I do so like her writing style. She spins a tale that sweeps you off to the Highlands and a different perspective of the villains in this story. Her characters are always well-defined and easy to relate to. I thought the interactions with their former clan were very engaging and look forward to reading more about these brothers.

I’m loving this series each book is about a different brother. I love series and this one is hitting it out of the park. The characters are fascinating and intriguing and the storyline is captivating.

I do love a good Gargoyle read and this is so so good! Bryce and Mari’s story is exciting, thrilling and had me hooked from start to finish. A well written paranormal fantasy read that’s enthralling, entertaining and her gargoyles are so hot and strong and sexy! Looking forward to reading more.

Still going strong. This story was different enough from the previous ones that I liked it. Still too short for my personal liking because I like to spend time with the characters. Otherwise, it was still satisfying.

This is the story of Mairi and Bryce. There is a spark between these two that may grow if they can overcome the danger that is coming. I enjoyed this wonderful, exciting romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

After her clan of gargoyles was attacked and killed Mairi goes on the run. Meeting Bryce was just what she needed as they found their mate and she found a protector too. I love reading anything by Lisa Carlise and this series is one of my favorites by her. From the captivating characters to the page turning story this is a great read. I look forward to reading the rest of the Highland Gargoyles series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
