This edition of LONGMAN helped me a lot when I was just a little kid who wanted to know the name of like everything in English, but didn't know how to. Then our teacher at the time introduced this book to us and henceforth, It's been one hell of a functional book for me. It's got a decent database of words in every field and the pictures are so clear to understand and be kept in my mind. The whole idea of a photo dictionary is just brilliant, 'cause photos are more likely to remain in mind than descriptions. Even if there's a difference between how they call something in UK vs. US, the book provides both words to the reader.
You just wanna look at the photos and their synonyms all day long. Very enjoyable. The best reference for people who are starting to learn English and need to learn more and more words and improve their vocabulary. It wouldn't be a bold claim if I state the love of books came upon me after reading this photo dictionary. Pretty much explains how teachers can change their students' lives when they're a kid. Maybe if Yashar Deldjou, my dear teacher at Mellat institute of Rasht, had not brought this book to the class, I wasn't the person I am right now. I was like 9 or 10 back then. Now I'm 22 and I still get that special and exciting feeling when I think about this book.
