The meter is running...
One night as Rose Crawford steps out of a bar, she gives no second thought to lifting her hand to signal for a cab. After all, it's the responsible thing to do.
A common occurrence.
Far safer than walking several blocks, alone, in the dark.
A familiar-looking yellow taxi with black, faux-leather seats, running meter on the dash, and a smiling driver p

EEEPPP! This book had so many twists and turns that my head was spinning! Who knew taking a simple taxi ride could change your life forever?!?! I mean WOAH. The creep factor in the beginning of the story was off the charts. I had no idea what was going on, why it was happening, or how everything would be resolved. All of this put together takes you on a fantastic ride that will change the way you think of public

I think Cambria Hebert is one of those authors who can write anything, I’ll love it without a doubt.
It was strange not to read about the Hashtag family. Cambria said in the acknowledgement that she feared readers won’t like this book because it’s not about our favorite crew. Dear Cambria, you have nothing to fear of because this story is mind-blowing! I loved every word of it. And I really mean it.

This story is utterly unique. It is well-written and – in my opinion – it is really instructive. T

No cliffhanger

After reading Taxi, I’m done with taking taxis and Uber rides. DONE. I used to live in the back of cabs when I lived in New York City. This book was a heart attack on wheels. I want you to go into this book blind. You will never see this plot twist coming. Oliver and Rose’s suspense filled romance was a fast-paced page turner. I will be checking out other books by this author. What a gr

Although there were a few strange little quirks in Taxi, it entertained enough to distract from points that might have bugged me more if it had been written by a less talented writer.

I have read all eleven books from the Take it Off series, and not all of them have been hits. In fact, some have missed so badly, I wondered if there was even a target in the same room when the author wrote them. They've all had a certain charm, but some were just better stories conceptually than others.

And I'm not going to be taking a taxi anytime in the near future or for a long time. Gah that was creepy I felt like I was on Criminal Minds. I definitely understand what Cambria said in the author's note I do that overactive mind. That aside when you get to the crux of the story it all makes sense. It's all complicated and a test of humanity, right and wrong. Compassion, selflessness, and gratitude could comes into play, very gray area.

I'm being pretty vague but it'll spoil the twist.

I definitely missed Cambria Hebert's Take It Off series. I love how she mixes danger, drama, and steam into a complex and intriguing story line. Rose and Derek's connection seems minimal at the beginning of the story, but after everything starts to fall apart and the puzzle pieces start to align, what they mean or want to mean to one another and the complications that arise due to why the events occurred set in motion life altering revelations.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, but wha

First up, I am fascinated by this idea. I saw something similar in a CSI: NY episode where a serial killer was trapping his prey by using his taxi to catch victims and even after all these years, that story has stuck with me. So I was excited to see something similar portrayed in book form. And Cambria did a great job at keeping the suspense at a level that kept the reader on their edge of their seat. It was dark and awful, but at the same time Rose and Derek brought enough light to this read th ...more

I was super excited when I learned that Cambria would be writing another book in the Take It Off series. The book that introduced me to the world of Cambria Hebert was Torch, book one in the Take It Off series. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time and dealing with extreme pregnancy-induced insomnia. I was searching for a new book to read and I ended up managing to receive and ARC of the book. I fell in love. I continued to read as the rest of the series was released and Cambria instantly ...more

I was so happy to see that Cambria Hebert published another book in her "Take It Off" series (I would compare this book to "Text" only longer and more developed. I can't say I've been too much of a fan of her newer series. "Taxi" is wonderful! The reason it isn't 5 stars is that I think it is almost impossible to combine fluff and romance into a book about two people being kidnapped and brutalized. Every once in awhile the "inappropriate" light bulb goes off when sweet nothings are being whisper ...more

4.5 stars!

I've read all the other books in this series, and I've loved every single one of them, so I was really excited when the author announced this book! I then signed up for this Blog Tour and was really happy when I was picked to receive an ARC! I started my ARC as soon as I received it and this book only took me a few sittings to read! I couldn't put it down until I had finished it! The plot was also amazing! It started with a bang and then the suspense continued as the plot developed! Th

I haven’t read the previous installments in the Take it Off series but the synopsis of this book has somehow caught my interest and I also love to read interesting romantic thrillers. I liked the idea of the story because it built a lot of suspense in the plot. My only issue with the story was the execution of the second half where things got predictable and dragged at the end. The story began with a great start and I really liked it but when

Holy crap, wow!!

This book had me drawn in from the blurb. I *patiently* waited for it to be in my hands to finally read.
I was not disappointed at all!!!!

This is a new to me author and like any time I read a new author I honestly didn’t know what to expect. What I didn’t expect was a story so well told I didn’t just feel like I was living the story with them at times I felt like it was actually happening to me.

Rose was enjoying a night out with friends when upon leaving the club she gets into a cab just like any other person wanting to go home. There’s nothing unusual about that right? Except this cab isn’t taking her home, the driver is kidnappi

When I saw the cover and read the blurb of Taxi, by Cambria Hebert, on my social media news feed, I knew that I had to read it. The cover was captivating and the blurb gave me chills! Confession time: I've never read a Cambria Hebert book until I read this one.

And now I'm kicking my ass wondering why the hell have I not read one before!

This book literally pulled me in from the start, it didn't take long before Rose's life was forever changed, although she has no idea why or who is behind it all. Rose is a barista who owns her own coffee truck that she runs out of the hospital parking lot. After a night out with friends, she decides to take a cab home.

Cambria Hebert does it again! I love Cambria's work, and would have to say this is one of those novels that grabs you from the start, drags you in, and keeps you there until it's finished. A great read, that really keeps the suspense rolling from page one until the end. I don't want to give anything away. After all, this is a romantic suspense, and if I gave anything away it wouldn't be so suspenseful! While this is a novel that is part of the Take it Off Novel Series it can be read as a standa ...more

This was a fun and interesting read. If you are looking for a beach or weekend read I recommend picking up this book.

Taxi ask the question, what would you do if you were kidnapped by a taxi driver. Good thing for me I use ridesharing apps, so no kidnapping is possible, I can be tracked.

Taxi is Cambria Herbert's latest release from her Take It Off series. Since I haven't read any books that accompany this one, I'm not sure how the characters and books are interconnected. It didn't matter to me though - I was pumped to read Taxi because I really enjoy this author's writing style and I thought the blurb looked exciting.

Taxi is Rose's crazy journey. She is an easy-going 20 something who owns her own coffee truck and she's a pretty likeable character. Her predictable life takes an

Cambria Hebert is a latte sipping author of the Heven & Hell series, the Death Escorts series, and the Take It Off series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair. She currently lives in
