The publisher claims there 1001 cats in this book, I dare you to count!
I was really excited to dig into this colouring book but as I started reading I wasn’t sure how this book could be marketed to adults. It’s more for children or teens as the cats are simply drawn. The mandelas might be harder to colour for the little ones.
In any case the cats are very cute. My cat even gave a small meow when she saw the book. If you are looking for simpler things to colour, this is perfect for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ebook copy of thr colouring book for an honest review.
So. I do not have a cat, BUT…I love coloring books with a purple passion. This one contains some really cute drawings to color. It is sure to be a hit with cat lovers and coloring book enthusiasts alike. My only complaint is that a few of the drawings felt a little plain—I feel like more detail could have been drawn in. That’s a minor complaint, however, and overall, this is a book I’d recommend if you’re into coloring.
Thanks to NetGalley and H.R. Publishing for a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review.
Ever wanted coloring book with bunch of cats ?you in luck as this coloring book exactly that. I personally really liked that's pictures are bigger in size not so narrow makes it easier to color. Pictures are mix between mandala style and reg pictures which could work wonderfully as change of pace. Excellent choice for gifts for yourself or cat lover in your life. Thanks Net galley for digital/advanced copy .
I loved all of the pictures that are included in this to color. They range from simple to very complex but will be so fun to do. It's just a very fun coloring book.
1,001 Cats: A Creative Cat Coloring Book is a whimsical and appealing coloring book for all ages. Released in 2016 by H.R. Wallace, it's 85 pages and is available in paperback format.
These are simple line drawn coloring pages, intricately detailed with cats on each page. Each drawing is on one page with the facing page blank, so they're appropriate for most media (markers, pens, dry-ish watercolor, pastels, pencils, crayons, etc). Many of the pages are mandalas with cats in various poses and small symmetrical designs radiating out from a central point.
The art is not credited, and presumably done in house. The publisher produces coloring books in a number of themes and styles.
Four stars. Lots of fun pages to keep readers busy for many hours. It would be a good choice for gift giving bundled with a fresh set of pencils or pens.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
Cat-tastic coloring adventure! 🐾 Although I didn't get my paws on the actual pages, the digital preview of "1001 Cats" by HR Wallace Publishing left me feline fantastic. It's a whisker away from being purrfect, but I've seen other cat-themed coloring books that scratched my coloring itch a bit more. The cat Mandala pages were clawsome, adding an extra layer of creativity to the litter. Even without sinking my claws into the actual pages, I'd give it a solid 4 stars. It's a purr-etty delightful addition to any cat lover's coloring collection! 😺🎨 #1001Cats #HRWallacePublishing #ColoringBook #CatLoversDream #PurrfectPages #CatMandala #ColoringAdventure #FelineFantastic #PawsitivelyCreative #CatPunsGalore #FourStars
Are there really 1001 cats? I don’t know, I didn’t count, but maybe I should! This is a lovely cat-filled coloring book, and I feel like it is suitable for literally any age. The cat shapes are easy if you are a kid, and the cat shapes can be modified and colored creatively if you are an adult. Also, did the book mention cats? CATS. There are SO MANY CATS. And yes, that’s a good thing.
This could be for kids or adults, as the pages are detailed but not too complicated. And what wonderful pages! So many cats on every page! And at the end, I learned that there are other coloring books by the same people with more cats. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me preview this fantastic coloring book
First of all, how could you not want to look through a coloring book full of cats??? I mean it's cats! This book is great for either children who love to color or adults who might want to add a little more depth to their pictures. Now were there really 1,001 cats, I'm not sure but it looked like there could be.
The “purrfect” book for cat lovers who want to relax. Filled from cover to cover with cute illustrations of cats, this book doesn’t disappoint those looking for a cat themed gift.
Oh the cuteness is unbearable. The perfect book for all the cat people you know. I know my daughter and sister have been colouring this in with an abundance of joy.
I'm going to be blunt and say that I was not a fan of this coloring book. I love the concept (because who doesn't like cats?!), but the drawings are just too childish for an adult coloring book. The cats are boring and the art style is very elementary school-esque. If the target audience was children, I'd say this coloring book isn't bad, but for adults, it is just dull. I plan on giving it to my 6 & 7 years old nieces.
