Between boot camp and two TOD’s in Iraq, my buddies Max, Gavin and me have been through some serious hell. So the last thing I ever expected was to find the biggest challenge of my life back home.

My girlfriend died. I couldn’t even attend her funeral, let alone tell her goodbye or that I’m sorry I wasn’t there like I should’ve been.

But she left me a gift. The best and scariest one I could’ve ever asked for. One I didn’t think I could handle…until the day I saw her tiny blues looking up at me in that airport. Chloe.

Now here I am, raising my baby girl—with the help of my two best friends. Things couldn’t be better. Until she walked into my life.

All I wanted was a nanny. Someone to take care of my girl when I couldn’t. What I didn’t count on was Addison, the brown-eyed temptress with a body of sin, and everything I didn’t need, but suddenly wanted.

He left his girlfriend behind to become a Marine. He fought beside his best friends in Iraq and came home to find he had a nine-month-old daughter and his girlfriend was dead. Becoming a dad wasn’t on Collin’s radar yet, but he is determined to be the best father ever. With the help of his two best friends, Gavin and Max, these three alpha males will bring their own brand of childcare together to raise little Chloe.

Addison is in desperate need of a job and is convinced to apply for the nanny position Collin is interviewing for. Except she didn’t know it was Collin and let’s just say they mix like oil and water, but this pre-school teacher has what Chloe needs in spades, so maybe they should give it a try?
Can you say explosive arguments, hurt feelings, romantic feelings and chemistry in spades?

Welcome in to the heads and hearts of these characters as we switch from one POV to another and be charmed by each character involved. A light read with its ups, downs and twists that will make you laugh, cry, get angry and be amazed as one baby’s welfare becomes the link that chains two hearts to each other, if they can learn to stop arguing, that is!

Heather Van Fleet kept a sad situation light with just the right amount of clever one liners, dirty diapers and enough friction to keep things moving right along. RECKLESS HEARTS is a fun read that flows along quickly and gets to the “heart” of love.

Do you all remember the film three men and a baby? I love that film so when I read the blurb for this book I was ecstatic to get my hands on it.
I like the authors writing style but it just wasn’t enough to get me to continue. It started out really strong and I was sure this was going to be a winner but there was just too much antagonism between the heroine and the Hero.
Collin Montgomery and his three friends help to look after his daughter Chloe Bean. As they all work nights they need help, Collin’s sister Lia isn’t cutting it anymore.
Addison has lost her job as a preschool teacher and can’t find anything. She is desperate her friend at the coffee shop has an idea.
They first meet in a bar – the guys are trying to be nice and help Addison get her friend home. Being careful is one thing but I don’t know really. There is an instant attraction that these two have and I wish they would have put their issues aside and worked it out sooner.
The second time they meet, Lia his sister gets her the nanny job. But Collin is a douchecanoe and it just goes wrong. Because Collin can’t date the siren in disguise. It’s all about his daughter and where that is admirable you have to live as well. Although she is the only one that makes him feel again.
On top of that Gavin goes from calling Addison a waste of space to wanting to date her and that is where I had my limit and rolled my eyes. I mean really? What else you going to dump on the readers?
Throw in some jealousy drama and your set. My verdict: Less drama would have been better.

Stopped reading @ 50% - which means after the fourth book of attempting and not continuing I am in a book slump.

This is the first time reading this author for me. I was so engrossed in the story, I didn't want it to end!

Collin and Addie have an enemies to friends to lovers tale. Moody, alpha, single dad--ex-military, who has had his share of tragedy. Addie does not take his bossy attitude and turns him down repeatedly. When things finally start to look better--Addie is working for Collin--they both agree that there is more to be explored in their relationship.

I liked that this wasn't insta-love. I liked that each character had flaws but was willing to work on them for the sake of being together. I enjoyed the secondary characters a LOT! I am hoping Max and Gavin get their HEA SOON!

So glad I picked this one up!

This sweet, sexy, heartfelt story ticked all the boxes! Hot alpha males? Check. Sassy, independent heroine? Check. Swoon-worthy romance? Check. Amazing character development? Check, check, check!

I totally LOVED Reckless Hearts and it was a great introduction to this amazing author and I cannot wait to read the next installment.

Collin was a total ass at the start but from his POV it was easy to tell that it wasn't intentional. He is struggling to adapt to his new life as a single dad to beautiful baby Chloe, and it was inexperience and nerves that were driving his behavior. Collin is this uber-protective hot ex-Marine and the archetypical alpha male and, of course, I fell for him right alongside Addy.

Addison has always had to fight to live her life the way she wants to and she is fiercely independent. When she finds herself out of work, she is desperate but not desperate enough to work for jerk face Collin even though she adores sweet Chloe and the job is ideal for her. After a bit of toing and froing, she eventually takes the job and gradually her and Collin grow closer. As they open up to one another, they realize they complement one another and make a great team.

The romance was swoony in the extreme and the chemistry jumped off the page. I was totally rooting for our couple!

There is plenty of humor and witty banter in this book, especially between the three men! I loved the bromance.

Characterization was superb and the secondary characters were all really well developed. I enjoyed the simmering tension between Gavin and Collin and Max and Lia. Lia and Max are my favorite characters outside of our mains and I think I will die if I don't get to read their book soon!

I enjoyed Heather's style of writing and it flowed beautifully. The pacing was also spot-on. Overall, this was a really great read and a fab start to a new series. Can't wait to read the rest of the boy's stories.

Thanks to the publisher for providing an ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 Stars.

I liked the story in this book.. I loved all of Collin's friends (especially Gavin) and i loved Addy and little Chloe too.. All the characters were pretty cool.

However, i felt this book draggggggged a lot..i mean the plot is pretty simple but there was a lot of back and forth and misunderstandings in the first 40% of the book..

Still though, it was a decent book..i cant wait to read about Gavin..i hope his story is next.

I ripped through this sweet, sexy, emotional read from Heather Van Fleet! Oh Collin... sigh... he's a bossy pants, ex-military, emotionally struggling, rugby playing, single-father hottie. When sexy Addison, also troubled by her past, takes a job as his nanny, she sparks something in him that he hasn't felt for a long time. I loved this book. I can't wait for the next in the series.

I was fortunate to get my hands on an early copy of RECKLESS HEARTS. Van Fleet gives seriously good alpha. Her characters are perfectly flawed, the heat level nears scorching, and the bromance? The banter between these boys is perfection. I can't wait for the next books in this series!!!

Collin left behind the woman he loved to become a marine and serve his country, little did he know he was also leaving a child behind too. While he is fighting overseas his girlfriend lost her life, and it killed him to not be able to attend her funeral and say goodbye, but duty called. Once he arrived home he got the surprise of his life, he had a nine month old daughter waiting for him, which meant he had a whole new mission ahead of him, being a single, first time father, which was completely overwhelming, lucky for him though he had the support of his friends. Caring for his daughter is his number one priority, as well as work, and keeping a roof over their head, and for the most part they are getting along fine, but he's finally ready to admit they might need a little help. So, he reluctantly decides to search for a nanny to step in and help out a little when he can't be with his daughter, and he finds Addison, she soon becomes the perfect fit for their busy and sometimes chaotic lives. And before long things start to feel more than perfect, and he finds himself wanting to make Addison a permanent fixture in their lives... but is he really ready to risk his heart again?

This was my first experience with Ms. Van Fleet's work, and I have got to say that I was extremely impressed with what I discovered between the pages of this captivating read. I love stories that come equipped with strong alpha male characters, and Collin was about as alpha as they come, he had my heart from the get go!! The chemistry brewing between these two was evident from their first encounter, and the anticipation of them finally letting everything around them go for just a moment and finally giving into their desires had me dangling on the edge of my seat... and bracing for one heck of a explosion...and oh my was it well worth the wait! I seriously loved everything about this one, it had everything you could possibly want in a story; an addictive story line sure to give you the feels, well crafted characters with smoldering chemistry, and plenty of toe curling romance that will leave you in dire need of a fan!! Highly recommend!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this title.

WOW! What a series! A MUST-READ!

I read an early version of this book and fell in love with the characters right from the start. This series... where do I begin? First off let me just say that I love getting into the head of a male character and Heather Van Fleet can nail a male POV like no other. The alternating POV is one of the many things I loved, loved, loved about this book. The characters are amazing! I felt their joy, their pain. When they ached so did I. These three guys are bachelors trying to raise a child and it was amazing to watch how one little girl helped them keep their heads on straight.

Be prepared. Be prepared to laugh, to cry, and not just tears, but the full fledge ugly cry. This book is intense and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I thought I'd start reading one night before bed and read a few pages and pick up the next day. Did not happen. I was up until three the next morning racing to find out what was going to happen. I'm not going to say too much about the book because I don't want to give anything away, but these guys have been through a lot. And it's their bond with one another that keeps them from falling completely apart. They are so different, yet the love they have for this baby girl made my heart sputter and brought out emotions in me that I love to feel.

These characters are real. I wanted to have dinner with them. I wanted them to be my friends. They are fun, flirty, sexy, and absolutely adorable.

Sometimes a book grabs you from the first page and stays with you long after the last. It takes your heart, shatters it into a million pieces, but carefully puts them back together. This was one of those books.

Addison has just lost her job and she needs to find something soon, otherwise she will be homeless. She has an interview for a position as a nanny for a baby girl, but when she arrives she discovers the person who's looking for someone to take care of his daughter Chloe is Collin, a man she met briefly on a night out. He tried to hit on her and help her out, but she left before he could do anything. Instead of a friendly approach Collin is rude to Addison. He is scared because she makes him feel again, but he isn't ready to move on. His girlfriend passed away and that's why he's now a single dad, living together with his two best friends to help him out. Will asking Addison to be Chloe's nanny be a dangerous decision?

Reckless Hearts is an emotional story about a man who's trying to raise his daughter the best he can. Collin can be rude. He's a big man with an attitude and he's used to getting his way, but he can also be sweet and sensitive. He feels deeply and isn't afraid to speak the truth. I liked his passionate character and determination. Addison missed a lot of love in her childhood and this has made her careful. When she meets Collin she keeps reacting instinctively, but her heart is ahead of her mind every time, so later she takes a step back. She can stand her ground and doesn't just accept Collin's demands and he needs someone who can stand up to him. Addison can be a bit tense and Collin can make her relax. They complement each other and they're a great match. I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow.

Heather Van Fleet writes about sensitive topics like losing your partner, raising a baby by yourself, childhood traumas and depression in an empathic way. Reckless Hearts is a story that's filled with emotion. Both the actions of the main characters and their dialogues are all meaningful. True love is wonderful, but it isn't easy and Heather Van Fleet writes about this topic in a terrific truthful way. She makes her characters and their thoughts and feelings seem very real. I love the honesty of her writing. Reckless Hearts is an amazing romantic story with a lovely fitting ending.

Occasionally, I think I am the only one. Everyone but me loves something, and I am the one standing there wondering what I missed.

In this case, the only character I found tolerable was Chloe. The 8 month old baby.

Collin was a jerk. Max and Gavin, complete jerks as well.

Addison, well, she was a whiny doormat...except when she was yelling, making scathing comments to all of the guys, or telling them how terrible they were...before whining about something else.

The first meeting of Collin and Addison goes horribly. They both hate one another, they are both terrible to the other...yet, it is somehow his fault.

And, this goes on through the whole book. It has been a while since I have read something in which I disliked the characters as much as I disliked this bunch. They were jerks. Terrible to one another, at turns terrible to Addison, who was awful to them right back. None of them seemed to have any idea how to treat another human being, and I got really tired, rerally quickly, of the scenes with any of the characters but the baby. Which, I guess makes sense, as Chloe really seemed to be the main character of the story.

I am not really able to say much about the pacing of the story, as I was so actively involved in disliking all of them that I really didn't care. I am not actually sure why I finished this one, I guess I was hoping for the silver lining, for something to happen that made me think the lot of them weren't all that bad. It never happened.

I am not really sure what I missed, honestly. There was no chemistry, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with any of the characters. I am not sure how there are 4 and 5 stars for this one. I can't remember the last time I reacted this strongly with a dislike of a character, and I am guessing it was me, as plenty of other people liked this book.

I do not recommend this book.

Mostly I felt this was inconsistent. The characterization was inconsistent. People reacted to things in a wonky manner much of the time. The story line didn't really have a strong clear path. Passage of time was inadequately addressed. The hero was better developed than the heroine. The heroine for example was Philippine but she was tall and her name was Addison? Explain that to me. As far as I know Philippine people are generally short. Some explanation of why she isn't would be nice. She was born there to native parents moving to the US as a child . Pretty sure Addison is not a typical Philippine name. Explain to me why she has that name. The hero came across as a fruit loop half the time. His actions and emotions were all over the place. The reactions of the hero's friends to her when they met were unreasonable without some sort of explanation which just wasn't there. It had promise but needed work. Still I would be willing to try the next one.

Love,love,love a baby daddy story.

Reckless hearts had everything I love in a romance read with the added bonus of an Alpha male like Collin, friends that are like family and swoon-worthy moments.

Collin is an ex marine and shares a house with his 2 friends who were also in the forces and his 8 month old daughter Chloe.

It's like 3 men & a baby, I loved the banter with the guys and the swoon worthy moments with their little Beaner as they called her.

Addie enters the picture on a night out and experiences Collin's bossy ways they have instant attraction but he definitely rubs her up the wrong way.

Addie is looking for a job so as an unemployed school teacher when her new friend Lia who is also Collin's sister informs her of a nanny position she agrees to go with her however Addie only discovers the bossy A-hole she dumped at the bar is Addi's brother when she goes for the interview.

It's a slow start for Addie and Collin both struggling to adjust and acknowledge their feelings but when the inevitable happens there's a repetition of swoon worthy and hot moments.

Reckless is told in dual pov's with great characters a heartwarming plot and a this series I would definitely follow.

My first book by this author and I would like to read more.

Man, this book. It wrecked me. I loved how real it was--seriously I wanted to be friends with every single character in this story. Collin was so sweet with his daughter (and with Addie!!) and I loved to see the rough, rugged side of him as well--I mean, hello there, hot ex-marine. I loved how Addie was strong-willed, capable, funny, and didn't take any shit from Collin. Their chemistry was off the charts and I adored their story. I highly rec this book <3

In the beginning I started to wonder if Collin and Addison would ever get together. Boy when they finally do, it's so hot. Didn't matter where they were, it was as if no one else was in the room but them. Can't wait to see if Gavin and Max find the same kind of happiness.

Funny, Romantic and Hot

Reckless Hearts will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Collin and Addison's love story will make you laugh, cry and believe in a love like no other. Her characters are grounded and multifaceted in a way that makes every word so much more than writing on a page - every bit of this heart warming story will leave you wanting more.

If you love alpha males, this book should be on your tbr list!
This super steamy romance has so much heart and characters that are heartbreakingly human. They felt so real I could honestly name people I know who are just like them.
I swear I read half of this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next book!

This is my first book by the author. I loved the whole concept...three ex-marines and best friends and a baby. Collin lives with his best friends Max and Gavin and has a eight-month old Chloe. Chloe's mother died in a car crash. His friends and sister Lia help him with the baby but its not enough. He needs a nanny and fast!!
Addison is a recently unemployed teacher looking for a job. Their first meeting is insta-connection. Both start off as enemies, the need to ignore their connection causing bickering. When finally addie starts working for Collin, they soon become friends and then more.
Collin was very sweet, not so much an alpha than someone who didn't want to lose someone he loved anymore. Addison is a very clear-headed and strong girl. Both are independent and stubborn to carve their own path and have to learn to walk together.
The author has created a nice world with very interesting characters. It was be interesting to read all the friends get their HEA.

Give me more of this series NOW. Van Fleet hit a home run with me. She managed to introduce me to three guys- Collin, Max and Gavin, baby Chloe, nanny Addison and make me want more.

Was it perfect? Nah. Collin drove me batty here and there and Max and Gavin both need their heads examined but all in all, this one really worked for me. I'm looking forward to the next book to see how Van Fleet brings this crew along.

Oh my goodness!!! This was really an amazing love story. I just love how the H and h's love started over time. They really liked each other from the start (without showing it towards each other), but it was not instant love. Collin was such a good father. His two friend was just perfect with Chloe. This book really reminded me of the movie Three men and a baby. I highly recommend this book.

Three men and a baby ! What a great starting point for a romance novel! Collin Montgomery is a single father, raising his nine months old baby daughter, Chloe, with the help of his two friends, Max and Gavin. Those guys are wonderful, they always have each other’s back. They are ex-marines and have been back in the States since Chloe’s mother accidental death. Their life revolves around Chloe, but they urgently need the support of a nanny.

Addie Booker has recently lost her job and urgently needs cash. Her first interactions with Collin are tense. Addie is all bite and attitude, and Collin can be a jerk at times, with his snarky remarks and grumpy attitude. I loved how their story progressed, nothing was rushed. They have a lot in common and make a great team, as they slowly open up to each other. Their witty banter made me smile all through the story!

Collin has been going through a lot and is still mourning Chloe’s mother. Even if he is attracted to Addie, he feels guilty and isn’t sure he can emotionally handle getting involved with another woman. Addie is independent and is an all or nothing kind of person. Those characters are totally flawed, but they belong together. Their emotional connection runs very deep. They have both found their home and family.

I enjoyed this book, the blurb and cover piqued my interest and once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down! The writing is strong and the characters are well-developed and likeable. If you are in the mood for a charming, humorous and sexy read, look no further and try this book!

★★★★★ 5 A-M-A-Z-I-N-G stars!

This book! I absolutely LOVED everything about this book! I love the characters, the writing, the plot, and everything was so well written it flowed perfectly that I couldn’t put the book down. It’s the first time I read a book from Heather Van Fleet so I didn’t really know what to expect, but I sure didn't expected to love the book this much! I'm so amazed how perfect of a read Reckless Hearts is and I can say that it's perfect because I didn't find a single thing that I didn't like about the book. It easily became one of my favorite books this year I'm already planning on reading it a second time.

There are several books I've read where the heroine falls for her boss and vice versa, but I find it rare when the book is perfectly executed. Addie was a really great heroine. She didn’t take shit from Collin, but she also didn’t play hard to get when it came to Collin trying to right his mistakes. I loved the relationship she built with Collin and his friends, but most importantly the relationship she built with Chloe, Collin's daughter.

Collin. Oh, what a sweet, demanding, alpha. I loved Collin! He was so bossy a lot of the times, but most of the times he was a completely sexy beast. Yes, I just called him a sexy beast. He was so sexy! Not only was he sexy, but he was so sweet with his daughter and was a bit of a romantic. Once he made up his mind about going after what he wanted, he got it. He had a great relationship with his two best friends from the marines and their bickering was hilarious it felt like I was actually listening to real friends goof around.

I know I've already said that I loved this book a lot, but I don't know what else to say without giving out any spoilers so I'll do the best best thing and tell you how amazing the book is! A definite must read!

Reckless Hearts by Van Fleet is a must read! Collin, an ex-military alpha, has met his match in sweet, head-strong Addison. What first drew me to this story? The similarities to the film, Three Men and a Baby. Cute movie, right? Well, this book is even more amazing. Three men, former military hotties, all pitching in to help their fellow man, Collin raise his sweet little girl, Chloe. Swoon, right? Add in a feisty and currently unemployed preschool teacher, desperate for a job, and you've got a plot that thickens. The chemistry between Collin and Addison set each scene on fire. I'm always drawn to stories with characters who have believable backstories, and Reckless Hearts did not disappoint. Both characters have a past, but will their secrets keep them apart, or will they allow their hearts to fall recklessly?

ARC Review: Reckless Hearts (Reckless Hearts) by Heather Van Fleet

Help is something we all need but are afraid to ask for. So what happens when a soldier with attitude has the rug pulled out from under him? He gets a nanny? Collin is a newly minted single dad whose had his share of hard knocks. A war took away some of his soul, tragedy left him with a broken heart but one little lady is on the verge of putting the pieces back in place. With a great group of friends and a beautiful baby girl rooting him on, Collin may just get another chance at love. If he can open his heart and convince the woman of his fantasies to risk her heart on him. There is an emotional roller derby going on in this story but the single dad falling for his daughter was a weakness I couldn't pass on.

Very sweet and low angst.

Many will love this book but by the same hand many will find it it flat. If you seek big drama sows from exes and baby mama drama you will be sadly disappointed.
