I love Lily! She's feisty yet vulnerable and makes me smile. And the story is riveting, I had to keep reading until it all came together!!! Great book - enjoyed every minute.

If I could change one event in this story it would be:

I read this book to see if it would be suitable for my niece. I actually thoroughly enjoyed the creativity and escapism of this novel myself and I could really connect with Lily who relishes in the magic and mystery of the supernatural. And yes - my 12 year old niece loved it too!

A perfect piece of Australian storytelling for the smaller people in your tribe. Lily is feisty, strong and brave - everything you could want a hero to be, and everything we want our children to be. The spiralling storylines and big, bold characters are a joy, while the essence of Australia throughout makes this book that little bit more special for those of us living in our lives in this beautiful big, red land.
