Aidan Ross might be an engineering genius, but people skills? Not this soldier’s forte. Thankfully, a trusted friend is accompanying him to a make-or-break tradeshow…but then a bubbly redhead hops into his truck, claiming to be his new road trip buddy. She’s a gorgeous distraction he can’t afford. Or ignore.

Delaney Harper comes from a family of engineers—male engineers.

Delaney Harper has a lot to prove - or so she thinks! All her elder brothers, her father and grandfather are engineers and so is she. She has been successful in her job but still feels the need to prove herself, especially to her parents, who she believes just want her to follow the lead of her mother and female relatives by getting married, having children and being a housewife, not a career woman and certainly not an engineer! Now, however, she has the opportunity she’d been dreaming of. Her ...more

I loved it! It's absolutely amazing, just sucked me in right from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. It's most definitely a must read for romance lovers.

Delaney is determined to prove herself in a men's world. She is brilliant and nothing can stop her from getting what she wants. She has worked hard, and now it's time for her to take her career to the next level. Aiden is the key for that. He owns the company she works for and if she wants to become a partner then she needs to wow him.

It was a cute light read. What drew me to this book was that Delaney is a woman engineer. I had a little bit of a struggle with Aidan and Delaney though. For me the connection between them just wasn't there for most of the book, but I have to say by the end they sold me on their relationship. The journey there was a memorable one for them. Aidan is by the book in control and then Delaney is fun loving spontaneous. They bring what the each other needs. They struggle not to act on their

This is the first book I have read from this author, and I have to say I liked it but I didn't love it. It is a super quick read, both in length and in amount of time passed in the actual story. I liked Driven To Temptation. I thought it was a fun read, but it ended up being just ok for me because I felt like all of it was too rushed.

My Review:
This is my first read by this author and it definitely won't be my last. This was a great, fun, entertaining book that had a bit of a sexy geek feel to it that I loved. It's about two engineers...who both have their hang-ups.

For Aidan, he was thrown into the foster system after his parents suddenly died. It had a profound traumatic effect on him. He's closed down and closed off, socially awkward and has on almost OCD need for control of his surroundings and life. He owns this

Review: This was a short and cute romance with great characters.A perfect read to kick back and relax with during the summer!

Aidan Ross is the CEO of Ross and Associates and though he is a great leader and engineering genius, he lacks the ability to talk to people cordially. He comes off as cold and remote, which doesn't help, as he needs contacts and relationships for the growth of his firm.He has to go for a tradeshow in Seattle and is supposed to be accompanied by Harold, when Delaney joins

ARC Review: Driven to Temptation by Melia Alexander

Ms. Alexander got my attention. I have read a great deal of authors and she reeled me in with one book. Driven To Temptation is everything you would expect from an Entangled title. A little stereotypical, a great deal of temptation and a delectable romance. Aidan is talented and understands designs better than he understands people. Not good for a man who hopes to expand his business. Delaney is spirited, smart and female. That has proven to be

I liked this book a lot. It captured my interest from chapter one. There were several laugh out loud moment, as well and parts that brought me to tears. Aidan was a very interesting character with his original Ice King persona, but if anyone one was able to thaw him out it seems to be Delaney. I loved Delaney because she is that woman not willing to bend to anyone’s expectations. She shows that ultimately she is who she is and if you don’t like it then shove it. Loved the novel and I hope there ...more

Sometimes men can be so very clueless. I liked how Delaney gave Aidan a run for his money. She wasn’t going to let him have the upper hand she worked hard to get to where she was in a man’s world and no one was going to take that away from her. Ms. Alexander made Delaney a very strong, someone to look up to. Or strive to be like. While Aidan tended to be a little clueless at times he was fun and very realistic and true to men’s natures. I enjoyed

I really liked the idea of a woman working in what is predominately a man's field, so I was excited to start this book, especially since its a workplace romance, which is one of my favorite places for a romance to take place in. Unfortunately, this book didn't work for me at all.

First of all the book was super quick, like way to quick for any real character development.

At 200 pages, this book was just too short to develop the relationship in a meaningful way.

After meeting for the first time and spending 6 hours in the car together, the insta-lust was immediate. (view spoiler). Then after just a few days the insta-love was too sudden to be believed. The book then becomes formulaic: big misunderstanding, h runs away, H grovels and apologizes (for what, I don't know. I didn't think he did anything

Wasn't head over heels in love with this book. It was way too instant love for me. One minute they met and next thing you know they are falling in love with each other! The whole story felt very immature. Definitely nothing extra special or stand out worthy to separate this book from all its competition. The characters weren't anything to write home about. All in all it won't be on my list of favorites this year.

A heroine who is an engineer

I loved, loved, loved that the heroine was an engineer and the backdrop was an engineering firm. I love that she was smart and confident and capable. I did find it a bit unbelievable though that boss/employee fall into bed with each other 10 hours after meeting for the first time and then are a full blown, in love couple after 2-3 days. I suppose there is always an exception but this just seemed not only unwise but implausible.

The writing style in this book didn't engage me although I liked the premise. I also found the first sentence of the book seemed really awkward and I went back a few times to reread it to see if I could make sense of it. I couldn't. This book was a DNF for me.

Delaney Harper will do anything to prove she has what it takes to make it in the male-dominated field of engineering, even if she has to tell a little white lie to be the one accompanying CEO, Aiden Ross, to a tradeshow. The question is -- will the gorgeous CEO be impressed with her work, or will his attitude be the same as that of her family?

Aiden Ross isn't a people person. He'd rather stay in the background, then be the face of his company. With everything riding on the upcoming

A great funny read. The banter was brilliant, especially in the car on a very long journey. An enjoyable few hours spent with two lovely characters. Well worth a read.
Standalone with HEA light hearted road trip romance between a boss and employee!

Driven to Temptation was my first book by Melia Alexander but I will definitely be considering reading more of Melia’s work as I thoroughly enjoyed this relatively sweet, well written, romance between two very likeable characters, Delaney and Aidan. Yes, the book was a little bit predictable but not everything in it This standalone book with a HEA incorporates the theme of a boss and employee romance that develops

Aidan Ross is many things, brilliant, owner of Ross and Associates, former military, among other things, but a people person is not on that list, as he prefers working from home and is somewhat socially awkward. Something he's been told numerous times that he needs to work on. Easier said than done when that type of personality goes against your natural tendencies.

Delaney, an engineer and two year long employee of Ross and Associates, is trying to be patient. Not only was the boss, Aidan, late,

Aidan Ross is a man who likes to be in control. A distinguished military man, he is now the owner of his own successful engineering company, which is growing in leaps and bounds. Preferring solitude, he lets his right-hand man, Harold, deal with the clients and the social element of this business. On occasion, he is forced to come into the office, and today is one of those days. Picking up Harold and travelling to an important trade show shouldn't take too long considering he has everything ...more

Aiden Ross is a control freak and not really a personable kind of guy! Heck even his ex-wife called him an Ice Man. But the last thing he expected when pulling up outside his engineering firm Ross & Associates, was nothing and no one being where they were supposed to be! Instead of his Harold, his number 2 guy, he is faced Delaney Harper, but little did he know how much his day would change.
