Max Axiom Super Scientist does a relatively good job explaining about all things magnetic in this graphic novel book for young readers. There was a section in the book that did get a bit confusing dealing with solar flares that I felt could have been left out or described better, but all in all a good resource for any library. I love the graphic novel format that will hopefully intrigue even the most reluctant reader.

I really liked this book. It tells you about magnets but goes a bit farther than the basics so I even learned a few things. I like that it's a kind of interesting story with a cool, almost superhero character that also teaches about science.

My son loves science but usually prefers science fiction to non-fiction. This is a great series that combines a graphic novel superhero with interesting science facts.
