Book on life history of Maruthanayagam / Mohmaad Yosuf / Kansahib, one of the most prominent tamil fighter around 1750's. His survival would have made big difference to history of tamil nadu who knows might be even India.

I have never believed the phrase "A book finds its reader", but this book changed it. On having taken this book for just the number of pages to satisfy some other person, starting to read, changed it all.
It is about life history of marudhanayagam, I have always felt having developed so much even before french and english why could we not survive them. Reading this book made me understand the reason why. Even today seeing same characteristics on our people (including me) makes me feel, we are just designed that way except for very few.
The story concentrates mostly on his struggle, war happened during the period and how he survived without giving in depth analysis and information on leadership / governance. One can at high level understand lot of things during those period when french and english tried to keep foot on India via south through this book. The master plan that english people had to captivate India and how mugals fell as prey for the same could be understood well from this book.
A must read for people who like Indian and especially Tamil Nadu History. If you are citizen of Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Thirunelveli or Arcot one can connect to geography that this book talks even more well.
