Dotty lives in a town where everything has polka-dots. One day a mysterious woman comes and magically takes all the dots and spots way. The only what to get the back is to guess her name. Not one of my favorite books, but the kids like it.

I don’t necessarily see the point of this story. The plot is boring and there is no underlying theme. I do not think I would use it in my classroom. The illustrations are a bit outdated, but could be interesting to a young first or second grade female.
