A handful of these places are now (unfortunately) closed, but that doesn't make this little book not worth the read. The size is perfect for carrying in your bag for whenever you find a few minutes to spare. Some places I already knew about, while others were completely unknown to me. Some wonderful gems to relaxation and even adventure, that perhaps even Chicago natives won't know about. Also good for tourists who are looking for something than the regular fare and for a cheap vacation.

A great little book to leave in your bag for those times you just want to disconnect. It's organized by indoor and outdoor locations and by neighborhood. The only improvement would be to include a city map.
