Nothing personal, this Just bored me to death.

It pains me to give this book such low rating cause I loved this couple so much in 'Beautiful Disaster' but this was terrible!

This book had me bored from the first chapter. It didn't have a point. The only thing that the book contained was Shepley and America's internal monologues about marriage and an ending so predictable and boring I almost drooled on my precious tablet.
I expected so much more from this.

I know... I know.. Travis&Abby sells. We get that. But was it really

Abby and Travis are my most favorite couple in the world and Travis is my UBB (Ultimate Book Boyfriend) I couldn't pass the opportunity to read about their life a little bit more.

True...this book is about America (Abby's best friend) and Shepley (Travis's cousin) and their story but here and there we get glimpses of Abby and Travis's story and their happily ever after :D

Ok ok...enough spoilers :P

America and Shepley have been together a long time and their road has been rocky sometimes

This is a short novella about how Shelpley Maddox & America met. We see how crazy Shep was over Mare from the first moment he laid eyes on her. We also get their first date & a good bit of Travis & Abby too since they are all best friends & living in Eakins, Illinois. Shep & Mare have some issues to work through & we get some drama with a tornado. That part went on a little too long for my liking. I like some angst

“Wherever you are, I'm there with you. I don't want to be anywhere you're not.”

Again Jamie McGuire did not disappoint! This short novella was simply beautiful, endearing and very special. It was about how Shepley and America first met and how awestruck he was from the very first moment he saw her across the hall at freshman orientation. We get to see their first date and it was really freaking sweet. Something Beautiful definitely had some sad bits and it gives you so

I have to admit that I wasn't too sure about reading Shep and America's book and now after reading it, I'm still not sure.

But don't get me wrong, it's not because of Shep and America but rather the lack of them. And there were two big reasons...a tornado and someone who is a tornado, that's right, Travis.

Seriously, this should have been a book about Travis and Abby because that's what it felt like. That and a town being devastated by a tornado and getting to hear all the gruesome

America Mason, a sassy undergrad at Eastern State University, is in love with a Maddox--Shepley Maddox. Unlike his cousins, Shepley is more lover than fighter, but a road trip to her parents' home in Wichita, Kansas could mean the next step, or the end of everything.

This novella is a great little accessory to the Beautiful series. Even though America has never been one of my favorite characters, I was so excited to get more Shep. Readers will get to experience a bunch of Shepley and America firsts. Their first meet, their first date, their first.....bow chica wow wow. And wow! Not what I expected. This book also encompasses a very large span of time by flowing through some of your favorite scenes from other Beautiful books, but you also get to experience a ...more

"She’s special, you know? She’s a daddy’s girl, but she’ll tell you where to stick it if she doesn’t like what you have to say. She’ll slap a giant to protect the honor of her best friend. She hates good-byes. She wears this little gold cross around her neck and curses like a sailor. She’s my happily ever after."

For people who had struggled for every step forward, we didn’t have one regret, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Every wrong turn had led us to this moment, proving that every choice

This was soooo amazing. I have always been curious about Shepley and America, and now we know what all they went through!
(view spoiler)

But a great addition to the series. Amazing book!:-)
Let me first say that Beautiful Disaster is one of my absolute favorite books. But having said that, I expected much much more from this novella. America and Shepley deserved better than this. Travis and Abby already had their story but for some reason were way too present here. I was pretty much bored to tears and a hundred page novella took me FIVE days to read! I hope others find more enjoyement than I did.
How do I describe this book?

Oh my God! This book was amazinggg! I’m so glad it was finally published in my country.
Around page 107 I felt the need to cry. So bad! Because all those feelings started to burn up inside of me. I missed reading such a great book.
Even tho it was a short one and sometimes the action seemed rushed, I will give this book 5 stars anytime. Because damn it, it was awesome!

An absolute #MUST for all Maddox fans.
And please read it as book 5.5 - no idea why it's called #3 - in my numbers it's book #5.5

Anyway - I LOVED IT!!!

We really had NO idea that nice and quiet and sweet Shepley Maddox was this amazing. He's such a great guy. He just always hid in Travis' shadows....but he's just as great as all his cousins.

I cried SOOOOOOO MUCH - for such a short novella - there were lots of tears

Lots of funny, scary, romantic, sexy scenes. Just perfect!!!

There was one KISSING

I never read the other books in this series. But i can tell i need tk hunt it down. Because after finished reading Something Beautiful, i can tell this author is super talented.

This book has a lot of moral story. It is a story about America and Shelby. They both madly in love with each other and now pondering what is the next level on their love story. Married, moving together?? This are the adventure they have to go through. Although it is a very short story, it is a beautiful story.

3.5-4 stars

The Maddox Brothers' Series has been a downhill ride for me, so I went into this one with absolutely zero expectation. And a nonchalant, careless attitude, so that even if it sucked balls, I wouldn't be disappointed. Much. So I was pleasantly surprised when I actually ended up not even remotely hating it! It wasn't very memorable, I must say, because I already don't remember how it ended, but I don't even care.
What I loved most is that it was short... The story it was ok.... The tornado it was a little bit over dramatic for my liking...

"She's my happily ever after"

Well, TBH i really wasn't sure about reading america and shep's story but i always think shep as a side kick of travis. Just to find more about him, i picked this book , well you know how that saying is,

"Curiousity kills the cat"

Yep, that was the EXACT scene for me..

This book is the 3rd one in beautiful series! and it was a shep and america's story and something about a hurricane in kansas, i dont know what exactly my feeling are for this book. but i am sure as

I'd always wondered about the Shepley and America "Mare" having fist met them in Beautiful Disaster. How they met and what happened to them.

Well now I don't have to wonder. It was a quick read. Shepley Maddox and his absolute faith and love in Mare is sweet and sexy. America can be a handful but he never waivers. I think thats what I love. The strong hero. He doesn't have to be in your face.

Shepley Maddox may seem quiet but insult or threaten America and you will be getting your ass kicked.

Talia (Red Hot Ink)
A short, sweet novella about Shepley and America.

We've already learned to love them in the previous books of the series and a part of me was worried it would turn out to be a mere retelling of the same events. Instead, what we have here is a beautiful love story from the very beginning to the very happy ending.

I especially appreciated the last bit, while the first half of the book frustrated me at times, even if the misunderstanding was utterly relatable. Anyway, the ending was amazing and it

First of all, it kills me to have to give 2 stars to this novella. It really *really* does. I usually love Jamie McGuire's work, so this is tough.
Something Beautiful just didn't make me feel anything - like, AT ALL. It was supposed to be about Shepley and America, who I love SO MUCH, but it ended up with too much Travis and Abby for my taste.
I know it's only a hundred and something pages long, so there is no room for much in here. And that's exactly it - Shep and America get about a 70% of the
I have to admit it, the Maddoxes are my weakness! Although I was pretty disappointed when I finished Beautiful Redemption, I couldn’t resist, I had to read it as soon as I could. I really like it, it’s short, cute, and has some drama in it. Maybe the plot was too simple and a bit weak, a relationship problem. They love each other so much but they don’t want to confront each other about it because they’re scared of breaking up.

I absolutely loved that this book was from both point of view. Also,
I was incredibly disappointed with this one. Where was America's and Shepley's story?!?

All this had was snippets of Travis's and Abby's story from different points in time, basically. Yes it was told from Mare and Shep's POVs but the content was only about Travis and Abby. It didn't tell their story at all.

The only plot to this was two obstacles they overcame (view spoiler)

'i wasn’t just in love with her. It was like taking my first breath, then the second, and then every breath after that. America had come into my life, and then she was the reason for it.' - Shepley

I was so excited about the release of this novella. The first time I finished reading Beautiful Disaster I went straight back to page one and read it again. There is just something about those Maddox boys.

Now we get some insight into Shepley & America’s relationship. Jamie takes us to the moment
Shepley might just be my favorite Maddox! He is sweet, protective, patient, kind, but will kick the ass of anyone who disrespects his girl. Shep will do anything for America even if that means sacrificing himself. Definitely your next book boyfriend! (Although what Maddox isn't on your book boyfriend list, right?)

America isn't as secure as she normally comes across. She has insecurities too and I loved that we got to see that side of her.

Something Beautiful is told in both Shep's and America's
