3.75 Stars!
I will admit that I wondered about some of the editing; there were a handful of grammatical and editing issues throughout all the stories (ex: one story had someone feeling like they were walking to the principles office, rather than the principal's office.)

Dream of You by Jennifer L. Armentrout 4 Stars
I haven't read the rest of this series yet, but I liked this one. I liked how protective Colton was from the beginning. I did get a little frustrated with Abby's thought process on Colton's hanging around, but I was glad that Jillian kind of helped get Abby to pull her head out. I did get slightly worried about the whole Nicole thing, even though I kind of knew Colton wasn't interested, but I was worried that Abby would do something. Overall, I liked this story and I want to read the rest of the series.

Stripped Down by Lorelei James 3.75 Stars
I really liked this story. The teasing between Wyn and Melissa was pretty hot and I liked it a lot. I loved the way both of them were helping get things going and letting Sutton and London enjoy their day. I will admit that Melissa frustrated me with keeping the diabetes things from people. Like, I get not blabbing it at the wedding or to Wyn at first, especially when it seemed like they were going to be a one and done kind of situation. Once she started staying at Wyn's place, she should have said something. Like, not saying she needed to gush about all the details, but maybe mentioning "hey I need to watch my blood sugar" would have helped. Even though she wasn't really on page, I did not like her mother. I did laugh at Alyssa's rushing to defend Melissa and the way she was pissed that she hadn't been told.

Rage/Killian by Alexandra Ivy & Laura Wright 3.75 Stars
I liked Rage a lot more than I liked Killian. Overall, this was interesting; the Pantera legend was intriguing but I did feel like both of the stories had a bunch of backstory that you were supposed to already be aware of, which didn't help with following the story. I found myself kind of giggling with Rage and the fact that he seemed to grudgingly go after Lucie and then didn't want to leave. The Killian story frustrated me at the beginning; Rosalie was kind of acting like a child who'd had her favorite toy taken away. And going back to the "backstory you need to know" there were references to the fact that she'd been held captive and lost her mate but it was referred back to so much that I'd been hoping for a bit more explanation on things.

Dragon King by Donna Grant 4 Stars
I laughed at Arian's confusion with Grace and his surprise at how she managed to end up at the cave. Considering this was a novella, of course things evolved quickly, but I was still laughing at how surprised Arian was at things. I got frustrated at Con and the way he pushed Grace, not only with the questions but also the storm.

Ignite by Rebecca Yarros 3.5 Stars
I liked the relationship between River and Avery. They were such great friends even if there was the yearning sort of on both sides. I will admit that Avery frustrated me a little bit. I get sticking around for Addy at the beginning but by this point in the story, it had been long enough that if she really wanted to do what was best for Addy, she should have gone after guardianship before this. I did get frustrated that she'd been so ready to move to Colorado, but the second she heard her father screwed up, she shut down. I get that her dad was an ass and didn't help things but still. It shouldn't have taken Addy giving her the paper for her to go "oh, there is another way". I did like the fact that River admitted he loved Avery and he was willing to move everyone to Colorado. Then when Avery shut down, he didn't push, he told her what he was hoping for and then he kind of gave her time.

Fated Identity by Kennedy Layne 3 Stars
I didn't like this one as much as any of the others, and for some reason I had a hard time really getting into it. The whole thing about the relationship between Grady and Brienne felt like that came out of nowhere; not sure if there was more explanation in previous books, but Grady shows up in the office to call Brie out on making choices and then suddenly she wants to talk about why he won't commit? I could understand Grady being reticent to fully love someone again, considering everything that had happened with Madison. I did like that they finally got down to what each wanted instead of dancing around it, like they had done in her office.

All of these books were part of a series.
DREAM OF YOU: I enjoyed this book. I liked the interaction and it felt real. I may looking into reading more of this series.
STRIPPED DOWN - I didn't like this book as much. Wyn and Mel were just too slutty for me. I like a woman who isn't scared of who she is but that doesn't mean she has to be slutty. It has more to do with the attitude than what she had done in the past. Wyn was no better. I guess they deserved each other, but I just didn't care for them so the story didn't really work for me.
RAGE/KILLIAN: I have read a few of these stories before and liked them. They are really short, but the authors make it work. I love Lucie and Rage. I didn't care of Rosalie as much although Killian was good.
DRAGON KING: This is definitely a series I want to read more of. It was entertaining and who doesn't like dragons.
IGNITE: This is the one story I did not read, I had read it previously and liked it, not enough to read again, but it was a good story.
FATED IDENTITY: I had a little trouble getting into this story as well. Maybe it was because the story was set so far into the series, or maybe it just wasn't really well written. The action was good, and the characters ok - it just didn't really interest me.

NOTE NOTE NOTE
Besides Dream of You by Jennifer L. Armentrout, I haven't gotten around to read any other book in the series so maybe some of these will have spoilers from other books but I'll try my best to keep those reviews spoiler free.

DREAM OF YOU BY JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

Since I am a huge huge fan of JLA's writing, I read this novella like a year ago and already have a review posted on my blog, so you can check it out here .

STRIPPED DOWN BY LORELEI JAMES

This novella happens after the sixth book of the Blacktop Cowboys series. Reading this novella really got me interested in the series and hopefully, sooner than later, I will get to them.

But back to the novella, I really liked the way the two characters interacted between each other. Their banter entertained me a lot though I wasn't a fan of their nicknames, but it doesn't change anything really hahaha Wynton and Melissa are both thinking alike when it comes to sex and it was bound to be hot when these two were going to get down to it and I was right.

But more than that, I just enjoyed the evolution of their relationship. As the secret comes out, their relationship takes a whole new turn. Sure, it was predictable, but it was still nice to read about it.

The author's writing is funny and entertaining and if all the characters are as entertaining as these two were, then I know I'm going to get hooked on this series.

RAGE/KILLIAN BY ALEXANDRA IVY & LAURA WRIGHT

I didn't know this series existed before reading these two novellas and perhaps it would have been a bad idea to read these before the rest, but since these stories at least turned more around the couples than the actually plotline of the series, I don't feel like I was spoiled or missed much.

Lucie's help is needed and Rage was ordered to find her and get her to help them out and he is not happy to have been appointed that mission especially since Lucie isn't easy to find and when he does find her, she isn't that cooperative. But she is calling to his cat and they have to deal with that without losing focus of their mission. Rage and Lucie were quite entertaining characters. The banter between the two of them, the obvious chemistry, the misunderstandings, etc, everything just made this story entertaining.

Killian and Rosalie were another kind of story. Rosalie was hurt when she lost her mate because of humans and she is very much on a destructive path whenever they are concerned. When Killian comes to their lair for help, it takes a lot of her to not surrender to kill him. She is attracted to him, but she can't stand that he represents everything that she hates. Together, they are both learning about one another. It's not an easy road for either them as they each deal with their issues. I really enjoyed this one and wouldn't minded to have a few more chapters about it.

DRAGON KING BY DONNA GRANT

There are a few books before this novella and I might have missed some important facts that occur in those previous books, but if I just look at the evolution between Grace and Arian, they weren't needed, but I felt like this big battle might need even more clarification so I might just have to start on those books lol

Grace is a write in need of inspiration and while searching for her place to write, she finds a cave that calls to her unaware that Arian, a Dragon King, to whom it belong just woke up from centuries of sleep. While danger is lurking around his cave, Arian keeps Grace with him to find out if she is an enemy or if she is truly an innoncent. While the attraction between them grows, Arian must find out first if he can trust her because a war is going on and every lapse of judgement could be dangerous.

Overall, it was a good story, but like I said before, I feel like I might need to read the previous books just to make sure I understand everything about the war and the background story to all of this.

IGNITE BY REBECCA YARROS

I am so happy that her story was in this bundle because it was probably my favourite from all the authors I discovered in there. Best friends falling for one another are always a big winner for me, but this one really got to me quickly.

From the moment he starts talking about her, I want them together. I want her to be in love with him as well. He shows such a tenderness towards her and he is very patient. Plus, he is just the sweetest towards her kid sister that he just screams PERFECT for me.

A lot is happening in their lives, not making it easy on them, but I liked that he never really gave up on her no matter how slow she was to finally stand up for herself.

I'm looking forward to read more stories in this series because I feel like I'm going to discover a lot of new couples I will fall for.

FATED IDENTITY BY KENNEDY LAYNE

I liked that novella, but at some point, I felt like I was missing a lot in it. Perhaps reading the previous novels in the series might have been more useful for this one, but I still enjoyed it.

Both characters are strong minded and know exactly what they want, even if they can't seem to be able to tell that to one another.

While trying to save her life and finding out who betrayed them, Grady and Brienne are forced to come clean to one another in hope to save what is left of their relationship.

So for this one, it might be a good idea to read the previous novels of the series, but I liked the writing and will probably pursue to read more from this author.

OVERALL BUNDLE REVIEW

I enjoyed discovering all these authors (at the exception of Jennifer L. Armentrout who is already one of my favourite authors) and I'm looking forward to start new series by them.

I was giving an advanced copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

5 Unique Stars!!

Dream Of You –
4.5 Now I want Crêpes Stars!!

After hearing so many wonderful things about Ms.Armentrout’s work I couldn’t wait to pick Dream Of You up!! It was sweet, intense, sexy, and action-packed! From beginning to end I was hooked and I loved the fact that it was a straight to the point kind of story that involved crime, lots of flirting, and book lovers. Even though there was some darker moments I felt like it was a light read with steamy momenta that could make anyone blush. I can’t believe I haven’t already picked up Ms.Armentrout’s work before this and I plan to check out The Wait For You series as soon as possible because after reading this I want to know more about secondary characters too. I can’t wait to pick up more of her books either.

Abby Erickson was a character that worked as a Freelance Editor. She was finally in a place where she wanted to date again when she happened upon something she wasn’t meant to see. I loved her love of books and Authors. She was sweet and funny. I hated that she judged herself harshly. In my opinion she was a very likable heroine. In the end I hoped she’d get a book-worthy romance of her dreams and she would be safe.

Colton Anders was a character who worked as a detective. He cracked me up and I really enjoyed how much of a flirt he was. I liked that he was a sexy hero without even trying. During certain points I didn’t know whether I wanted to smack him or kiss him. I hoped in the end he’d prove my assumptions about him wrong.

Stripped Down –

4.5 Wedding Hookups Stars!!

This was my first time reading Ms.James work and I loved every hilarious sexy second of it!! Holy cow this is one hot as fire Novella!! I liked that even though there was a lot of physical stuff going on between the main characters there was something more meaningful hidden between them in my opinion. It was hilarious, sweet, shocking, and sexy. There was a lot of moments and situations that I did not expect which was pleasant surprises. Wedding Hookups never amount to anything but a one night stand. . . or do they? Definitely checking out the Blacktop Cowboy series as soon as possible!!

Melissa Lockhart and Wynton Grant meet which leads to sparks flying or better yet lust. I loved how they both had sort of the same type of humor and they could joke together without one taking offense. They both had their own secrets to his but when one thing led to another everything began to come out. It was cool that their relationship had a bit of mysterty to it the sense I had no clue if they’d be more or not and I liked to keep guessing. The nicknames they had left me in tears. It was interesting to uncover the heroines past and what the hero went through in the present was heartbreaking.

Rage / Killian –

4.5 Stars!!

This was my first time reading both Ms.Ivy and Ms.Wright’s work as well as my first time reading a shifter book that involved a different animal other than a wolf or bear which was quite refreshing and very unique. I liked that it was Pumas which after reading this story I found them to be quite the fascinating creatures. Plus I love shifters so both stories were right up my alley. When two authors combine their talents to create awesome worlds it makes me so incredibly happy. I loved how it all took place in Louisiana and I could picture the outdoors rather clearly. Rage and Killian were both steamy stories with great build ups.
There’s a thin line between love and hate. . .

Rage was a character who was a Hunter. He was quite full of himself at times but I liked how in certain situations he went full on alpha. I wanted to smack him a few times. I was glad that there was more to him than meets the eye. Lucie Gaudet was a character who knew Rage all too well and especially his reputation. She was a tech wiz and many people sought her out. I loved how she stood her ground and was feisty. The hate that they had each other couldn’t be denied nor could the attraction but would they give into temptation?

Killian O’Roarke was a character that was human but had accidentally gotten Pantera DNA in his system that he wanted gone quick. He was kick butt take names later sort of guy and lived for his job. He was intense to say the least but with a bit of a romantic side that made him oh so appealing! Rosalie was a character who had lost the love of her life and the person she was destined to be with forever. The hatred for humans came easily until she comes face to face with Killian. Would hate be all that their is between them or would other emotions creep in?

Dragon King –

4 Stars!!

This was my first time reading Ms.Grant’s work and enjoyed getting lost in a world where Dragon shifters do indeed exist. Now this is the second new animal shifter type of romance for me which makes me smile to no end. Dragon King is a realistic meets fantasy type of paranormal read that I couldn’t get enough of. It was cool and fun to learn new terms when entering Arian’s world. It was a different type of read for me in a sense and a wonderful change of pace. I’ll definitely check out more of The Dark Kings for sure.

Grace Clark was a character that was a writer. Coming to a standstill in the writing department she needed a change of scenery and Scotland was just the place to escape to. Getting inspiration just as a storm hit she never expected when she took cover that she’d meet a man who’d turn her world upside down. She wasn’t a risk taker. She was kind but would stand up for herself as well. Arian was a character who awoke from a longer slumber. Being the Dragon King wasn’t easy and he always jumped into things head first. During the beginning I had a strong distaste for him but as things progressed (Even though I hated some of his actions) he won me over. When a writer and a dragon meet doubts arise and sparks fly.

Ignite –
5 Stars!!

This was my second time reading Ms.Yarros work and once again she stole my heart with this romance!! It’s realistic, sexy, heartbreaking, and frustrating. Two friends cross a line but they’ve been teetering on it for years and the leap of faith may just be worth the risk. Things weren’t always perfect but rather far from it with beauty rising from the ashes. It dealt with serious situations and showed what it truly means to fight for love no matter the distance. Family was a big factor in ignite which I loved even though some of the relationships were strained. Ms.Yarros has a way of making tear up and blush with her stories!! I can’t wait to check out Point of Origin and more of her work!!

Avery Claire was a character who spent the majority of her life taking care of others and never herself. Worry always seemed to settle in her mind for those that she cared about especially River. She was very strong willed and would say exactly how she felt even if it hurt her the process. My heart broke for her on multiple of occasions. I loved her relationship with her sister Adeline and how she took care of her. In the end I hoped that she would take control of her life and not toss love aside.

River Maldonado was a character who lived to fight fires it was in his blood which he inherited from his father. With his brother Bishop by his side he moved to Alaska to do just that. Meeting a girl changed everything for him even though they were just friends he wanted more. Moving back home wasn’t in the cards but expect the unexpected. the struggles that he went through and how torn he was at times. I loved how he cared about Avery and her sister. He was tough as can be but a sweetheart as well.

Fated Identity –
4 Stars!!
This was my first time reading Ms.Layne’s work and liked how suspenseful it was!! I honestly dont think ive ever read a romance that features the CIA so this was new territory for me which made me ecstatic. It was a short read with a depth to it that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering how certain thingsa would unfold for not only the main characters but the secondary ones as well. It touches on loss , what it means to fight attraction, and filled with action that keeps you entertained. Hope to check out more of Ms.Layne’s work soon!

Grady Kenton was a character who had a past that haunted him. Losing someone of great importance to him changed in some ways who he was. Working with the CIA is what he lived to do and it didn’t hurt that the woman who caught his fancy worked right along with him. I understood where he was coming from but i also disliked his actionsa at times. Briennne Chaylse was a character that worked in the CIA with Grady. She wasn’t one to go down without a fight and It was nice that her determination didn’t waver. I understood her need to confront Grady on his past. The tension between the hero and the heroine could have been cut with a knife but It made me happy that it didn’t mess with how they worked their jobs.

I highly recommend this bundle to anyone looking for something that has a little bit pof everything for all romance readers alike. There’s not one same book and I think that’s what makes it so perfect because you can find whatever story you are in the mood for and read it. The hot factor for all of these stories combined would have to be a ten! You’ll be blushing, smiling, laughing, and engrossed in no time!! I can’t pick a favorite either it’s too difficult. If you haven’t already One-Clicked Buy it today!! I hope you enjoy it!!:)

While I enjoyed Abby and Colton's story. (Sometimes a second chance makes all the difference in the world) It took me a while to get into the story. I loved that Abby was a book editor. My favorite line in this book was " There's nothing more powerful that the written word "

Great stories from authors to watch for

This is a collection of novellas in a mix of genres that are all part of an already established series; of these, I'd only read the Blacktop Cowboys series before. Every story was well-written and while they all worked as standalones, most would benefit from having read the other books in the series. As a whole, I'm giving this 4.5 to 5 stars with individual comments and ratings to follow.

Dream of you (A Wait For You novella) by Jennifer L Armentrout: romantic suspense, second chances. Abby Ramsy witnesses a murder and reconnects with Colton Anders, an old high-school crush who is now a detective assigned to the case. Worked well as a standalone. 4.5 stars

Stripped Down (A Blacktop Cowboys novella) by Lorelei James: cowboy. Melissa Lockhart and Wynton Sutton get together at the marriage of Melissa's best friend to Wyn's brother. My favorite in this collection and exactly what I've come to expect from this author and series; smart, strong women who own their sexuality and hot, dirty-talking alpha male cowboys. The perfect blend of humor, heat and angst. 5 stars.

Rage/Killian (Bayou Heat novellas) by Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright: Puma shifters.
Rage and Lucie. Hunter and rebel Geek. Well-done. Would probably be higher rated if I'd read previous stories. 4.5 stars
Killian and Rosalie. Loved this one about two hurt people coming together. 5 stars

Dragon King (A Dark Kings novella) by Donna Grant: Dragon Shifters, Dark Fey. Grace comes to Scotland to try to break her writer's block and meets Arian, the Dragon King who's just waking up after a sleep of 600 years. Really well-written but just not quite my style. 4 stars.

Ignite (A Legacy novella) by Rebecca Yarros: firefighter, best friends to lovers. Avery has been caring for her younger sister and disabled father since the death of her mother, while best friend River is the firefighter being given an opportunity to join a new firefighting team as part of a memorial to his dead father. The catch is he has to move to Colorado and away from Avery. This worked well as a standalone. A nice mix of sweet and angst. 5 stars.

Fated Identity (Red Starr, Book Six) by Kennedy Layne: suspense, CIA. Well-done. Great pacing and tension with just the right amount of heat. This was one where I felt it would have been helpful to have read the previous books first as there was a lot going on. 4.5 stars.

These Discovery Bundles from 1001 Dark Nights are very aptly named. Every time I read one, I discover a new-to-me author that I now can't wait to read more of.

I chose to read Bundle Six mostly because of the two novellas by Jennifer Armentrout and Lorelei James. I'm now all caught up on Jen Armentrout's Wait For You series, and although I've only read the first book in Lorelei James' Blacktop Cowboys series, I am familiar with all of her other series.

All the other authors were new to me, and I read some things I really loved. My personal favorite was Donna Grant's Dragon King. I love the premise of immortal dragon shape shifters who mate for life. I've added the first book in her Dark Kings series to my TBR already, and am looking forward to seeing how it all started.

It's strange for me to love these bundles so much. Normally, I'm very much a stickler for reading series in order. But there's something fun about getting this tiny taste of a world. I know I won't know the characters or the other relationships that have obviously been formed in previous books. But, I'm okay with that. I get a glimpse of the world and the background info, which tells me a lot about the series as a whole and whether I will like it.

And, as a bonus, I get a steamy romance condensed into 100 pages or less. Six times over.

Bundle Six gives you a little bit of everything. You'll get a new adult contemporary romance, some adult contemporaries, a suspense story and a few paranormal romances. So, no matter your preferences, as long as you like your kissing books, you'll find something good to read here.

Some of these stories were breathtakingly beautiful. Others less so. To play it fair I actually finished the bundle but then I kept comparing it with other stories. I will try find the whole collection of the 1001 dark nights for any book lover would love them.

These were all new authors to me and I enjoyed each story. Each story offered something different. All were steamy. I really could not pick a favorite in the group. There were editing issues, missing words, typos, but I still found myself being pulled into each story. Several of the stories included content that could be a trigger, like drug abuse, verbal abuse, death of loved ones, drinking... Overall, I enjoed this collection and look forward to other Dark Nights Bundles.
