McGee gives an interesting approach to the historical voice in her work of 'channeling' the mothers of 'Twelve Famous Men'... a nice nod to the women who have shaped our world indirectly through their brilliant sons. The book gives just a brief snapshot from each of the characters' lives, in the context of conversation and tinged with the personality of each Mother, implications and illustrations of her dreams, emotions, challenges and joys.
A unique piece of work and worth the time for anyone intrigued by the families and upbringing of certain famous folks who helped to shape our world.
