Basic but decent enough introduction to the role of US presidents. Information presented is about the president's job in general with photos to illustrate. Most of the photos show recent presidents (starting with Reagan and up through (with most emphasis on) Obama as was published 2017) but also pictured are Washington, Lincoln, FDR and JFK. Shows the White House, Capitol, Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. Mentions the president hosting parties and throwing out pitches for ballgames... this gets about as much page time as the president working with Congress or being in charge of the armed forces. So, yeah, it's not outstanding. But, it's a good starting point for diving deeper.

This book explores the job of the president and looks at past presidents. The book has a lot of fun facts and pictures to look at. The book would be great for children around kindergarten through first grade. This book can be used to learn about presidents, consider what it would be like to be a president, and to also practice reading.

I would give this book to a second grader. This book has simple wording for a developing reader but has a lot of information about the President and his duty. This is a good book for a student interested in the President or, who like nonfiction history and government.
