All I ever wanted was to be a female fighter. It was in my blood to smack people around. Some girls wore pink dresses and makeup, I wore sneakers and bruises. I was a loner, stuck to myself because I was different, until Camden Steel moved next door. I punched him in the mouth, and he saw me through rose colored glasses from that day on. I had everything I ever wanted. The boy next door, inspiring career… until I didn’t. He hates me. I deserve that. They say you have to fight for what you want… What they don’t tell you… is it’ll cost you more than you're willing to give to reach the top.

Tate and Camden have quite the history together. Tate has never been like other girls growing up. She loves to fight and is not about pretty frilly things. It's those differences that made Camden fall for her as a kid and what made it hurt so bad when she was forced to go to college in another state and to sever ties with him. When the college thing doesn't pan out she returns with a determination not to compromise on what she wants. That is to fight. Her dad, a former fighter, is dead set against her living the hard life of a fighter and it causes a huge rift in an otherwise close relationship. Breaking into the fight world is not easy and even more so for a woman. She ends up at the same gym as Camden with a less than efficient trainer. Camden's hostility toward her, while not surprising, is painful. But as we all know, where there was once a blazing fire, there is a spark. These two have a lot to work through but the heart will always have its way. The love scenes are delish. Seriously. I wasn't sure at first how I would like the story as it didn't immediately click for me. It's my first by this author and I was getting used to her style. I am glad that I saw it through as the story developed quite well after the initial choppiness. I found myself cheering for these deeply flawed characters. I liked that Tate still had a long way to go to get where she wanted to be. It wasn't something that came to her easily but something that she had to work hard for. I felt strongly towards some of the antagonists as well meaning the writer does well in establishing emotion. All in all a very good read. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing, though an ex partner of the H shows up. They lost their V to eachother. No rape. Yes to abuse.

TITLE: Love Tap AUTHOR: M.N. Forgy GENRE: Contemporary Romance CHAPTERS: 33 RELEASE DATE: July 6th, 2016
MY RATING
LOVE TAP: Told in 'dual perspectives' (Tatum aka Tate & Camden) - A second chance romance.
We're first introduced to twenty one year old Tatum whose attending College at UCLA as a journalism major which is by no means doing what she loves but writing about it is close enough.
I don't want to report about the best fighters in the world. I want to be one.
Day after Day I have sat in a chair behind a desk living a mundane boring life. Giving up on family dreams and most importantly myself.
Don't expect Tate to come across like a girly girl this is one tough cookie, she thrives on the violence of the fight.
One fight at school sees Tate going back to the place she left behind four years ago. Home..
Camden Steel is an ex MMA fighter whose moved back into his childhood home after having a brush with the law.
Camden Steel, my first love and first heartbreak I tried hard to forget about him But it was kind of hard when his face was plastered all over my tv as the next best thing to hit MMA.
Things start getting real when they realize they are both training at the same gym.
I lost the only boy I ever loved.
If you've followed/read books by this author previously you'll know that she never disappoints us when it comes to delivering us an alpha male in all his glory, remember Shadow who we all claimed was ours, Camden in this book is no different, he's the perfect book boyfriend, he's arrogant with a chip on his shoulder when old hurts resurface, delve past all that and like me you'll end up claiming him as yours.
All is fair in fighting and surviving.
This moves from present day to past time effortlessly, we get to see these two characters when Camden moved in next door to Tate as a seven year old to their teen years, to Tate leaving home to present day with her moving back to her old neighborhood.
This book ticked so many boxes for me, hot muscled fighter with a heart, humor, romance, female badass who is tough and kicks butt! It was so much better than I could have even hoped for.
Tate is a tough chick who’s never liked playing with dolls and tea sets. She’s never had much interest in stereotypical girl things like dolls and dresses, and she’s hated princesses. Instead, she’s always loved to fight! Camden was her childhood best friend, her first love, her first boyfriend, her first for everything. Camden has always loved her for her originality and sassiness. When her mother died Camden stood by her during that painful time and helped her through her grief.
When Tate decided to leave her hometown to go to college in order to please her parents, she left her fighting behind and broke Camden’s heart. Present time: four years later, she feels tired of pretending to be someone she’s not and she decides to quit college and return to her hometown to pursue her dream: to become a fighter, like her father. She’s determined to fight with all she has to reach the top. She is strong-willed, dedicated and has a brave attitude. When Tate walks into the gym Camden is training, things get pretty interesting very fast. Tate isn't one to bow down and won't put up with any shit. And boy does Camden like that about her!
I can honestly say there wasn't anything in Love Tap that I didn't like! The banter between Camden and Tate was hilarious and the sexual tension was palpable. At first, I thought it would be a usual romance with a fighter, but I didn't expect this book to be so emotional. You feel like you are right along with them as they go about their lives.
I really enjoyed reading this as the characters seemed real. The author does a great job creating characters you can like and understand. Camden and Tate’s desire to take a chance on love and life captured my emotions. I laughed, I cried and I wanted a happy ending. This is a wonderful book I am sure many will love.

Overall Opinion: This was an ok second chance romance. I didn't end up mad because of the reason behind their separation-- so there is that ;). I think I just wanted more. I felt like we didn't get all that in depth into their characterizations or their story. I don't really have strong feelings about it one way or the other, as I didn't become all that invested in the story. It won't go down on my favorites shelf, and I really don't think it'll be all that memorable in the long run -- just ok.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Tate and Camden's story. They meet when they are 7 and Camden moves in next door. They don't form a friendship right away, but over the years they become best friends. As they grow older, their relationship grows as well and they fall in love. Tate makes a tough decision and ends up moving far away to college and they sever ties. Almost 4 years later, Tate returns a college drop out wanting to take a shot at the MMA world. They bump into each other at a gym, and the reception is pretty frosty. Eventually after some confrontations and dancing around each other, they cannot deny their connection and get back together. There are some flashbacks into their past, some sexy times, a few sad moments...but they get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Tate and Camden's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good until the end. I thought it flowed well, and I never skimmed. It did seem to end really clean and quick though. I wanted more time with them as an official couple again. There are some flashbacks chapters to look into their past to help us understand the depth of their feelings (I always like that, but I know some readers don't).
Instalove: No, but both start with some strong residual feelings.
H rating: 3 stars. Camden. He was ok. He was a little hard to like at first, but once we got to the extent of his flashbacks and understood how much he was hurt -- I started to like him more.
h rating: 4 stars. Tate. I liked her. She was a totally different kind of h, and I enjoyed that aspect of her character. She was not girly at all and she never pretended to be (even as a little girl).
Sadness level: Low/moderate. I'm a sucker for unrequited love type situations, and even though they both cared about each other it seemed a little one sided when the h came back. I teared up a few times because of the things the H did and said to the h.
Push/Pull: Yes
Heat level: Moderate. They have some hot chemistry, and scenes. They both enjoy rough sex.
Descriptive sex: Yes.
Safe sex: Not really. I don't remember any mention of condoms, birth control, or std status in current or past practices.
OW/OM drama: Mild
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Yes
Possible Triggers: Yes
Closure: This had decent closure. Even though I wanted more of them as a happy couple, I would call this a HEA ending.
How I got it: It was part of my scribed subscription.
Safety: I'd say this is probably Not Safe for most readers depending on personal preferences.
first of all, imagine a mash up between these two movies: Never back down and A Million Dollar baby but with a happy ending, and characters being NA - a badass, sassy, snappy and bold heroine and a true demanding but devoted and loyal alpha, both of them being fighters with a second chance at love opportunity, with a little hate/love/lust interference in between the takes (hawt damn, hawt sex, i even overlooked the fact that they went bareback after the 4 years they've been apart, but what the hell, sometimes i'm generous enough to close my eyes at these, lets call them, mishaps) then there's a little bit of suspensful drama, and a lot of detailed MMA fighting...and viola!!!
for me, it was bloody awesome!!! *shrugs*
don't judge...i'm a fighter bitch! LOL
so yeah, I got nothing more to say, except, if you like all of the above in your story and in your characters, then i truly hope you'll enjoy this book!
Can I just say WOW! I freaking love Tate. She is a bad ass bitch who don't take shit from anyone. I love her attitude, her sass and the fact that she can kick some serious ass. Tatum "Hellcat" Davis is my kinda girl. I feel a kinship with her because she was never into wearing makeup and dresses and playing with dolls. Instead she wore t-shirts, jeans and sneakers while covered in scrapes and bruises and she loved to fight and I love me a fighting bitch because that was me.
Now on to Camden Steel. I mean can you really go wrong with a muscular hot alpha male who happens to be an amazing fighter with a heart of gold. Nope, they don’t get much better than that.
These two have had hard lives with filled difficulties and loss. They lost their way for a little while. Tate left everything she ever knew and loved behind because she thought she was doing the right thing only to become numb, a shell of who she really was. Camden became angry, bitter and confused. But when they were reunited years later, flames ignited fueling both hate and love.
Can they sort through their feelings? Can they make things right again? Can they find a way through all the pain? Can they find their way home?
This is a story about second chances, making things right, following your dreams and never being anyone but who you are!
Love Tap has everything I could possibly want in a book; sizzling romance, emotional, well written, likeable characters, laughter, and a whole lot of substance. I want more!!
I've this authors MC books and loved them. And when I saw she was releasing Love Tap, I knew I had to read it, glad I did! I love M.N.Forgy's writing and I enjoyed Camden and Tate's second chance love story. Childhood sweethearts. Until Tatum was faced with a tough decision. Stay and feel like she could possibly hold Camden back from his dream of being a fighter. Or leave. Go away to college, abandon her own dreams of being a fighter. I enjoyed their journey to find themselves and each other. I loved the childhood flashbacks throughout the book. For me, it helped me connect with the characters and their love for each other. Camden was the perfect alpha male in this book. And Tatum though sweet on Camden, she held her own. Both winning my heart. Can't wait to see what this author writes next.
Everything. I loved it the first time I read it, and I loved it more now with the audiobook. I loved the unique plot, the strength of the characters, the development of the story and most of all, the HEA.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Candem and Tate. Both main characters were amazing. Like I said before, what I loved the most about them was their strength. They weren’t only strong fighters, but also strong people. They had to make sacrifices for the better of the people they love, and of course that cause them so much pain, but
“when you are meant for something, no matter how when, or how, or where, you’ll get it”
in this case, it was Candem for Tate and Tate for Candem. They were meant for each other.
Amelie and Rudy had the best voices for Tate and Candem. Their attitudes, inflections, different acccents and paces made their performances flawless. My favorite part about Amelie’s narration as Tate was how well she transmitted her emotions. I could totally feel Tate’s love for Tandem. And Rudy was amazing in the sex scenes. They were pretty explicit *fan self*
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
More than moved me, there were two particular moments that excited me. When Tate and Candem saw each other after she came back town—it was frightening and exciting, and the two fights Tate was in—I was on the edge of the chair while listening to them. Soooooo full of emotions and drama and passion and everything. I loved those scenes when I read the book but I surely loved them more with the audiobook
Any additional comments?
Love Tap in audio is an amazing companion for the book. 100% recommended.

Book Review: 5 Stars
I’ve became a huge fan of M.N. Forgy. She first got me with the
Sin City Outlaws Series
, and when I knew about this new book by her, I knew I would read it, even if I’m not into fighters books—
or am I? I mean, it’s not my first choice of book but the few ones I’ve read have been awesome
—I decided to give it a try because Forgy’s writing style is fresh, well paced and her characters are greatly developed and so much lovable. And of course I ended up loving
Love Tap.
This book is a book about chasing your dreams, fighting for them and for what’s important in life. This book is about love, friendship, second chances and kicking ass!!! Tate wasn’t a little princess when she was a child. She was a fighter, just liker her dad. But after her mom’s death she was forced to go live a life that wasn’t hers, and that included not only leaving herself behind but the love of her life too. Candem was her best friend, her boyfriend and her everything and when she left to college, they both ended broken hearted. Four years later Tate decided to return home and start over. Or more like catch up with her dream of being a professional fighter. Going back to Chicago brought the best for her, but also for Candem. They got reunited but that didn’t mean they would go back to being best friends and lovers with the blink of an eye. Their reunion wasn’t easy, it was full of drama, angst and tension, but everything was so needed and perfect and it made their story as awesome as it is.
All in all,
Love Tap
was a beautiful, funny, romantic story about two fighters who got the best second chance in life, love and everything. The dual POV made more easy to understand and love both characters and support every decision they made in their lives. And most of all,
Love Tap
gave two new additions to my collection, one sexy cocky bastard book boyfriend in Candem and one awesome super badass book girlfriend in Tate who now have a very special place in my heart.

A female fighter?! Yessah!! I'm in!!
Tatum Davis was by far different from many female leads I've come across in reads. She was strong, refreshing, self-less, and tenacious. Not to mention, she was mighty bad ass in the ring. Watch out!!
Tatum has had her hand in getting lost in expectations of others, doubting herself and her wants and needs in life, and even experiencing the pangs of utter heartbreak. She has lived trying to please others--- going to college in attempt to appease her straight laced parents-- and giving up the only man she had ever loved-- and yet, still loves.
Fate has a funny hand at thing, as sometimes what the heart truly wants comes to face you when you least expect it.
Now deciding to pursue what she loves full time and stop living for the wants of outsiders, she decides to immerse herself head on into the MMA world only to meet the man she had broken the heart of. Only catch is, he hates her with every fiber of his being and would like nothing more to break her the way she did when he needed her the most.
Love Tapcan be classed as a sports romance and also one centering around second chances, love, loss, redemption, and also coming to terms with who you are and not settling for any less.
For Camden and Tatum, both lose themselves along the way and throughout find themselves in the end. For Tatum is was about not succumbing to the labels society places on women and to take the reigns and be who she was and do what she loves. She was never going to be that conventional girl that she was being pressured to be and was different in all ways and faucets.
As for Camden who had his share of dilemma-- he too has had a shaky and turbulent past and has always relied on Tatum, his best friend and lover, to get him through the dark. When she abruptly leaves him just as he is rising in the MMA world, he spirals out of control and loses himself in the process, and therefore becomes a bitter and angry shell of what he once was.
What I liked during the course of this novel was that love and life are not something you can predict, control, or even contain. It like fate, can occur anywhere, at any given time in either a nudge, tap, or a massive collision. Camden and Tate experience this as they both repair old hurts, chase after their dreams, and fight tooth and nail for their love and leave nothing on the table.
They were an awesome duo, although I do have to admit to not like Camden very much in the beginning. However, once he warmed up to Tatum, I was completely on board with him.
Tatum, on the other hand, I just loved wholeheartedly and inexplicably.
Anyway, before I gobber on and on about this amazing read I'll end my review here. Seriously ladies, this one is a winner and one hell of a read!! One click now!!

Review: ”I can still see his blond hair falling into his eyes, as his boyish charm sank its claws into my soul. My heart does a double beat and my eyes water remembering it all. I still love him. I always will.”
5 Camden Steel stars!! Another sexy and addicting book by M.N.!!!
Tate has always loved boxing and fighting. I mean she’s grown up around it, since her father is a boxer. Growing up that’s all she ever wanted to do. But when her mom dies, things change, her father forces her to be “a girl” and go to college. Which would be fine, except she and her neighbor Camden have big plans of getting married and growing old together. Not to mention, there all they have. Camden is an up and coming MMA fighter at the time and Tate doesn’t want to hold him back, so she leaves him and heads to California to start college. In turn breaking his heart and turning him into cold, empty shell.
”Tate was a girl that breathed fire and laughter. Everyone else just seemed cold and dull compared to her. She made me fall in love with her.”
Cut to four years later and Tate is heading back home, realizing that college isn’t for her, she wants to fight, much to her father’s dismay. And Camden is a washed up fighter with a bad boy past. But for Tate being back home brings back painful memories of her mom, her past and the boy she left behind. She heads to a gym, looking for someone to train her never imagining that she’d be walking into the same gym that Camden trains at. When these two see each other, it opens wounds that they swore were healed. But neither of these two can stay away when threats bubble up to the surface and Camden offers to train Tate. But can these two really make it work at get over their past? Can Tate make it in the fighting world, or will her past come back to “beat her” more than she already is?? Can Camden forgive Tate for leaving him, when he needed her the most?
”’Those fuck buddies on my phone, and that girl that just walked in here… they’re Band-Aids. When I couldn’t get you out of my mind with whiskey and Coke, I went to women. Hoping having someone to lay next to would help forget you….None of it worked though, because they’re not you,’ he whispers.”
Oh. My. God!!! This book had me feeling a million different things. One minute I hated Tate and then the next I hated Camden, and then the next I was fanning myself from all the sexual tension and heat these two radiate!! It’s no lie, I love everything M.N writes, but I swear this book had me obsessed!! I couldn’t put my kindle down and I put off my daily activities because I had to know what was going to happen!! Camden Steel, OMG, he’s dead sexy, brooding, but he has a heart of gold, once you get through the darkness that surrounds it!! And Tate is a tough as nails fighter girl, that just wants the boy she fell in love with back!! So stop reading this review and go grab this book!!!

I had high hopes for LOVE TAP. I'm not a huge fan of fighting (MMA or boxing), but for some reason that element works for me in books. So I was happy to see one of my favorite authors jump into this arena.
LOVE TAP revolves around the story of Tate and Camden. They grew up together, were high school sweethearts but then their relationship fell apart as Tate tried to live up to her father's expectations while at the same time hoping Camden chased after his dream. Tate broke both of their hearts and the course of both their lives was not the outcome she was hoping. What we get in this story is how Tate and Camden learn how to navigate their life living next door to each other and leaving the past behind. At it's core, it's a second chance romance, where we are supposed to want Tate and Camden to find their new 'normal'.
The story is good, but I found myself not liking either Tate or Camden very much. They take verbal cheap shots at each and use sex (rough sex at that) to be the mechanism in which they work out their issues. They rarely (at least in the dialogue in the book) actually talk about their issues. They may yell out one of two things, but they never discuss they whys around why Tate felt she needed to leave. Why she was protecting Camden. Or even what Camden went through when she left. I think if I had gotten a hint of those conversations, maybe I would have felt more of a connection.
The storyline itself had a lot of potential and that, in itself, is probably what saved the rating for this book for me. I liked the female fighter aspect. Of her desire to prove she could fight, despite what other around her were saying. And of the bad boy of fighting finding his way back to a sport he loved.
LOVE TAP was a good read, but it was one that didn't grab me the way other MN Forgy books have done in the past.
I've only read M.N. Forgy's MC books so when I saw the blurb for Love Tap, I got super excited. Not only is it about a fighter but it's about a female fighter and I love strong female leads. Add that on top of being a second chance story and I was sold.
Tate Davis has only ever wanted to be a fighter since she was a little girl. It's in her blood and she lives and breathes it. No matter how much her mother wanted her to wear dresses and look the part of the pretty little girl, Tate just wouldn't conform. When a new neighbor arrives next door, this little fighter has met her match. He's just as competitive as her and claims to be a better fighter then she is.
Camden Steel has always felt pulled towards Tate since they first met. She's not like the other girls and that drawls him to her. Over time, they share their love of fighting and eventually involve into the love of each other's lives. Or so he thought until the day she left him and never looked back. Then four years later, she shows up back in his life and at his gym. Are there still unresolved feelings between the two or have they finally moved on from each other?
First of all, Tate is one strong female. When life threw her a different path than she always dreamed, she finally said enough is enough and sought after what it is she needs. To be a fighter. She's determined, strong, fierce, loyal and tenacious. She knows she wants to become one of the top female fighters and she knows she wants Camden back in her life and she goes at them full force.
What I really enjoyed the most out of this story was the emotions that caused a very thin line between love and hate. Camden harbors very strong feelings over her leaving him and he's full of resentment yet he knows that she's always been the one for him. I could feel the passion between the two. That love/hate line that just confuses the hell out of you.
"Hate and sexual tension race through my veins, as my heart longs for her. I both hate and love her."
I also really liked the secondary characters. Each and every one of them played an important role in both Tate and Camden's life and although there are times where they might be struggling emotionally, at the end they are all very loyal to each other and unite.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a strong female lead who just happens to be a fighter and goes after what she knows she needs in her life, then this is for you!
I never actually read sports books. But this book was so different for me cause the female's dream was to be an MMA fighter. Tate and Camden grew up together. Tate was not like other little girls. She was not into barbies but she wanted to be a fighter, like her father. Camden and Tate Experienced everything together. Camden was there for her when her mother passed away. He was there for her when her father forbid her from doing any fighting, so when her mother passed away he made Tate go to college. Tate left behind Camden and left her fighting behind because she though this was what her mother wanted for her. So after 4years Tate decides that she has had enough of college and she wants to pursue her fighting career, she goes home and joins the same gym that Camden is at. Only Camden is pissed at her for leaving him and all he wants is for Tate to stay away from him
But the history between them is just to much for both of them to stay away from each other. But there are secrets that needs to be confessed and feelings that needs to be dealt with.
Everything in this book was just filled with passion, drama and the sex scenes was way HOT!
Definitely my first sports book that I enjoyed.
Will we be getting Chloe and Jake's story in the future... I definitely hope so
I knew with out a doubt that I would be in for a ride when I signed up for Love Tap. Let me tell ya.... I was freakin right! This standalone is freakin awesome! I love a good fighter book and coming from both female and male point of views.. this one was amazing.
Tatum is a freakin bad ass. Like I have a girl crush on her for real. She's sassy and not all girly girl. Freakin love herrrrr! Although she's a bad ass she's still a woman. She's not trying to be someone else. She's just Tate. All her life she's lobed one boy. And that boy comes into her life like a wrecking ball. Camden. Hot damn!
Camden is sooo an alpha male. No suit and tie for this feller. No mam! He's a bad ass in sweats! I mean what woman doesn't love a man that can take care of her needs in and outta the bed?! I sure as hell love him! Hell reading about him had me wanting my hair pulled and ass spanked! Hahahaha. Hes had more women than he could probably count but NONE are Tatum. She's the one that got away. And this man is bound and determined to keep her this time.
These two have explosive chemistry! I loved reading their story and the hell they go through. I loved that the story was different and not like other sport romances I've read and had complex characters. It wasn't just me man you woman... get in my bed caveman shit. It was brilliant and MN Forgy rocked this fucking book hard. Don't miss out on this great kick ass read!!!
Blurb: All I ever wanted was to be a female fighter. It was in my blood to smack people around. Some girls wore pink dresses and makeup, I wore sneakers and bruises. I was a loner, stuck to myself because I was different, until Camden Steel moved next door. I punched him in the mouth, and he saw me through rose colored glasses from that day on. They say you have to fight for what you want… What they don’t tell you… is it’ll cost you more than you're willing to give to reach the top.
I really enjoyed this. Tate is a strong female lead. She had been living her life trying to please others and it just wasn't working for her any more. Tate's dream is to fight, it's in her blood and she's going to do what ever it takes to make her dreams come true.
Camden - Tate was his soulmate, but she walked away four years ago, leaving him without looking back. Since then his life has spiral out of control, but he can't talk about what started his spiral.
When these two end up in each other's orbit again it is fireworks! I loved these two. A great story.
I can honestly say that I haven't read a book that involved that much fighting and the nitty gritty details, but I LOVED it. The chemistry between Tate and Camden was unbelievable, the characters were perfectly written and I loved how it was the boy next door romance.
One doing everything she can to get in the cage...the other fighting his way out of it. A scorching hot, emotional, MMA romance that sucked me in from the very beginning! This was something different from Forgy, but no less visceral, that's for sure. This is one fighter romance that is a definite must read!
"You want to know why you couldn't move on and be with anyone else? Because nobody can fill your dark desires like I can."
When you see the name M.N. Forgy, you think raw, gritty, and sexy MC Romances right? Well, she brings something new to the table with LOVE TAP. There is still an intensity...a roughness to the love story that you have to work for. The characters are complex and the emotional aspect of the story is completely on point. I enjoyed the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the absolute rollercoaster of Tate and Camden's relationship. This is a heartbreakingly beautiful, second chance romance that will have you standing up and cheering for these two characters.
"Those fuck buddies on my phone, and that girl that just walked in here...they're Band-Aids. When I couldn't get you out of my mind with whiskey and Coke, I went to women. Hoping having someone to lay next to would help forget you."
"None of it worked though, because they're not you,"
Tate thought she was doing the right thing when she walked away from Camden. Her father pushed her to do what would make her mother proud. So she put away her dreams and went off to college, leaving the only boy she ever loved (or will love). A couple of years later and something makes her snap. Her anger takes over and she ends up back in her home town, finally going after what she wants...she wants in the ring. Being judged as a woman in this profession will always be there, but that doesn't put out her fire...it only fuels it. And when she runs into the boy she grew up with, the only friend she had growing up, he is not standing there with open arms. In fact, he wants nothing to do with her. He is dead set on getting over her once and for all. When Tate and Cam are reunited, sparks fly...well, they pretty much EXPLODE! It's intense...it's angry...it's spiteful...an yet, it's beautiful. Ladies, you know you love you some angry sex...well, this one takes the cake! M.N. Forgy weaves a great story, taking us back to the very beginning when Tate and Camden first met at children...and all of the events that led us to the present. It's not light and sweet. It's tough and raw. It's heartbreaking and jaw-dropping, but it's their story...and it was beautiful. Fans of stomach-dropping, gritty second chance romances will DEVOUR this page by page. A MUST READ for Forgy fans everywhere!

For the last four years, Tatum Davis has lived the life that her mother and her father wanted her to live, but in doing so, she lost herself by pretending to be someone that she wasn’t, giving up the one boy who owned her heart from their first encounter. But one act of violence proves to Tate that she was born to be different, and she refuses to keep living half a life; it’s time for her to live the life of a fighter because that’s what defines her…that’s what makes her feel alive…that’s what she was made to do, and now it’s her chance to prove to herself and her father that she belongs in a ring, kicking ass and taking names.
In order for Tate to take back her dreams and the life that once meant everything to her, she has to face who and what she left behind, which means her biggest fight might not actually be in the ring but that doesn’t mean it’s no less important because Camden Steel is more than her lost love - he’s her everything.
A love tap is meant to be a gentle blow, but there’s nothing gentle about Camden’s reaction to Tate’s return home; in fact, not only does it send him spiraling, but it also turns him into an asshole, bringing out all of the hurt, anger, and torment that he’s felt since her absence. Camden’s already facing off against some pretty heavy demons due to his inability to tame the beast within, so unleashing his fury on Tate in every comment and action only further divides them, making Tate wonder if she should just tap out and give up on attempting to reignite a relationship with Camden after all the hurt he caused him when she left.
One’s trying to fight her way into the ring while the other is fighting to remain out of it. One wants to get back what she once had while the other doesn’t know if he can let go of the hurt from the past. Both, at times, seem to be fighting losing battles because the work they have to put into it seems harder than ever before. But Tate’s determined to make a name for herself as a fighter as well as get Camden to let go of the hurt and fight along side of her for what they once had and could have again as well as realize why he started fighting in the first place.
Love Tap is a second chance love story that focuses on what it takes to follow one’s dreams and get back what s/he thought was best to give up. Anything worth having is worth fighting for and that’s exactly what Tate does the minute she arrives back in her hometown and continues to do so even when people around her doubt her skill and her determination to be a fighter. Camden reached his dreams but he also watched them get destroyed, but with Tate by his side, the only time either of them will tap out is when they’ve given their all to be what they want and with whom they want.

What do you get with a book about a female and male fighter who have a I-hate-you-but-really-love-you kind of relationship?
A hot, sexy one with two characters fighting their demons the only way they know how, with their fists.
“I don’t want to report about the best fighters in the world. I want to be one”
Tate has always been different from other girls and has never wanted to be anything but a fighter, following in her dad’s footsteps.
Camden is the boy next door, growing into the man who is her everything. These two share their love of fighting, both wanting to break out onto the professional scene.
Camden sees Tate for who she is and loves her for it. He doesn’t try to change her, or make her conform to what is expected. Her differences are what attract him. He believes in her when others don’t.
Tate is torn between love and family, willing to sacrifice her happiness for the benefit of others. She walks away from everything she has ever known, becoming broken and numb. When these two are reunited years later, watch the fireworks commence!
“I thought my longing for Tate grew into hate these past years. That was until I just saw her. I miss her and hate her.”
“I don’t know whether I want to hate f*** him, or just hate him.”
These two have lost so much in their lives, including each other. Camden is bitter and confused. Watching them struggle with their feelings was a real treat, because you just knew with all that combustion, things were going to blow! Add in the fact that they both love to fight, and you get a convergence of intense emotions.
Camden is such a protective hero. Tate is his, and no one messes with her, ever. Tate is strong and stubborn, always rising to a challenge. These two butt heads a lot! But they will have to open up to each other about the past, if they want to make a go of their future.
With off the charts sexual tension, a sexy male fighter, and a woman who doesn’t back down but fights with all she is, this book is packed with yummy goodness.
“It was a love tap. Shake it off and show me what you got.”/b>
"This woman is my nightmare and my saving grace. Like a drug. You know it's bad for you, but the way you feel when you're so wrapped and consumed by it overrides any rational thinking."
Four years ago her flight path in life took a wrong turn due to unforeseen circumstances and ever since she's been cruising at altitude too scared to redirect her course. Can Tatum steer herself home? Deciding living a half life is a kind of torture she can no longer tolerate Tate turns herself around and readies herself for the biggest fight of her life. The fire in her blood is tired of simmering away under the surface and the need to fight is begging to be unleashed. Can she make her Father understand the need sizzling just under the surface, can she find a gym to take her training seriously after four years out of the game? And most of all will she be able to find forgiveness from the boy she left broken hearted, who has become a man filled with bitter regret and hatred?
Cameron worked his way to the top in MMA fighting, using his natural ability to take any contender down. Falling madly, deeply for the girl next door who also had a passion for fighting they were a perfect match until she broke her promises. Challenging his anger he unleashed a monster in the ring but ruined his career with his choices and inability to reign in his killer instincts. Still training hard he finds someone familiar yet unwelcome in his gym...can he really let her walk away from him a second time? Can Tate make him realise how much she has regretted get choices? Can they go head to head and both remain remain unscathed?
Love Tap is a story of redemption and fighting for what you love. The passion, desire and spirit of both Tate and Camden made this an awesome read as their strength shines through. The crippling devastation of losing a parent and trying desperately to make the other one proud causes four years to be wasted. The guts to return home had me cheering for her from the outset. The secrets and the misunderstandings all added to the angst factor whilst the training and fighting kept the story edgy. With twists and turns I loved this story and it was great to see both characters develop and support each other to achieve their dreams. A refreshing fighter story that was emotional, sexy and bloody too. A perfect combination!
A four and a half star there goes the bell read.

"You want to know why you couldn't move on and be with anyone else? Because nobody can fill your dark desires like I can."
Tate has been going through life like a robot. Doing things that are expected of her. She was forced to give up her passion for fighting when she lost her mother to a silent killer as a teenager. She moved to collage because it's what her father wanted her to do. She gave up the only man that she ever loved so that he could have the career that he always dreamed of.
"Make me feel something, make me feel good, make me feel pain, just something besides this numbness that has taken root in my chest."
How long can you live a life that others want for you before you snap?
Tate and Camden have a history that time can't erase. They feel in love at the age of seven and planned on spending there whole lives together. When Tate left Camden with out even telling him goodbye his live began to spin out of control. Alcohol, women and tragedy embeds themselves into his life like a plague. When he walks into his gym only to find the only women that he has ever loved in the ring his first reaction is to cause her as much pain as she caused him.
"It pisses me off how he blames me for everything. It pisses me off that I am to blame for everything. It pisses me off that I still want him. It pisses me off that he doesn't want me."
Tate is strong, fierce and different that other girls. Something about her has always captured Camden's attention. He hates her but he can't help but love her. He watches her everyday and he can't stand to see her fighting all wrong. He hates that she has a shitty coach and that it's his fault. He hates that he cares. How long can he ignore everything that he feels when she shares a space with him everyday?
"Hate and sexual tension race through my veins, as my heart longs for her. I both hate and love her."
As always M.G. Forgy created a story filled with depth and emotion. Tate and Camden have chemistry that explodes off the pages. Both the story and characters were unique and complex. Tate and Camden's story is brilliant and gritty. If you haven't read any of M.G. Forgy's work then you're missing out.

“I did what I thought was best given the circumstances. When I left, I wasn't the Tate that you loved. I was a shell of a person, I was lost and scared. I didn't want to ruin your life while I figured out mine.” “It wasn’t up for you to decide Tate, leaving me here to rot, that should have been left for me to decide!”
Tate & Camden spent their childhood together, unlikely best friends forged through unusual bonds. As they grew, their friendship turned into more--so much more. But then, Tate walked away. Went off to LA and left Camden behind.
Back home years later, Tate never imagines she'll have to encounter Camden, let alone walk right into the gym he is training at. So much has been left unsaid over the years, that the love which once blossomed has transformed into a terrible feeling of unrest and hate. Neither of them knows what to do and I was thrown into each of their personal turmoil.
What I loved most about this story was the continual level of uncertainty. The only thing certain in this story was the past, but to the characters even that has been tainted by their choices. Each of them is not only afraid to address their past choices, but they're also afraid to just feel. As close as they had been in their childhood, that's how far they have drifted.
Throughout the book I was treated to ups & downs, certainties & uncertainties, and a wash of emotion. This is one of my favorite types of stories. Not the grown up friends to lovers, but that childhood, best friend, first love, effed it up, and had to fix it kind of love. Life is messy. A story that reflects that mess is beautiful in my eyes. --Also, can I just say I LOVE that Tate is such a strong, independent, BA woman! She is her own person, owns it, and does what she's good at. LOVE> characters like these!
This is a great transition from Forgy’s MC series and well done! I also see an avenue to continue with these characters *wink, wink* and create a whirl new world! Loved it!

Carla's Five Star Review
This story begins with Tatum aka "Tate" Davis living in California while attending UCLA. She is far from her home in Chicago, and she is miserable. She only went to college because it is what her parents wanted. All it takes is one fight to finally give her the courage to do what she was born to do..fight. She returns to Chicago to pursue her dream of becoming a professional fighter. She knows it won't be an easy road especially when it comes to facing the boy she left behind.
Camden Steel is a MMA fighter. After a brush with the law, he returns to his hometown to regroup. The truth is he is frightened by the beast who lives deep inside him, so he has temporarily stepped out of the ring. As if that isn't enough to deal with, his world is rocked to it's core when Tate walks back into his life. She is the girl who walked away without so much as a goodbye, and the very reason he built a fortress around his heart. He promised himself he would never allow himself to fall in love again. The problem with keeping that promise is the fact that he never stopped loving Tate. As these two train in the same gym, the chemistry between them is palpable. Is it possible for them to move on from past hurts and help each other embrace the future, or is it time for them to tap out?
This book is simply fabulous! I loved Tate and Camden so much! Tate is not your typical girl. She is a major bad ass! Once her mind is set on something, she goes after it like a dog with a bone! She refuses to let anyone or anything get in the way of accomplishing her goals. And Camden? That man will make you melt. He is your typical alpha male. He is tough as nails, but he has a gentle and loving side when it comes to Tate. I promise he will make you fall in love with him before the story ends! Kudos to M.N. Forgy for creating such an awesome story!
