Paul Freiberger

Paul Freiberger is an award-winning author, technology historian, and career expert. He is the co-author of the seminal history Fire in the Valley, which served as the basis for the film Pirates of Silicon Valley and won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize as co-author of Fuzzy Logic.

A former reporter for the San Francisco Examiner and columnist for the San Jose Mercury News, he was a senior editor of InfoWorld and a contributor to NPR’s All Things Considered and Morning Edition.

His career includes serving as a communications strategist for McKinsey & Company and a project manager at Paul Allen’s Interval Research Corporation, where he became a co-inventor on three patents.

A contributor to Encyclopedia Britannica on the history of computing, Freiberger is currently the President of Shimmering Careers. He is the author of the When Can You Start? series, helping individuals navigate career transformations.

Paul has gone through several job transformations himself. He has worked as a short-order cook, a teacher, and a night porter. He earned a B.A. in history at the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Masters in Italian from Middlebury College.

Not a scintillating read, but based on what I see when interviewing people, a very useful guide.

This guide is a strong practical tool that helps you focus on what matters in the hiring process. I go to this book any time I'm on the job market, and recently did so to successfully receive a stellar offer at a top company

Best Guide for Interciew

This is an amazing guide for all of those that really want to get a job, it’s easy to read and apply .
