Good story.

So far each book has covered a different warrior and different aspect of their civilization. The author has tied all this together with referrals to ancient civilizations on earth when humans believed in different gods that were actually aliens visiting earth to have fun with the inhabitants. This led to earth being banned until the people had advanced and weren't as gullible. The hero in the first book was fascinated with the planet and often watched from his ship as the people advanced. This put him in the right place at the right time to rescue the human that turned out to be his true mate.

All the stories continue from that point and each book is fascinating. This story covers the problem the Olodian people have had with fewer females conceiving resulting in fewer females being born and the slow death of their people and planet. The heroine is a person that has always heard and loved plants. A severe trauma that occurred to her and her sister when she was very young have hampered this ability. Now she and her sister are on a space ship to find alien life. She is responsible for the food supply and is accused of poisoning everyone through her experiments to fund a cure for a deadly bacteria destroying food crops on earth. The hero loves her at first sight but believes he has a duty to help her fulfill the Goddess's plan. When he finally realizes he is supposed to do this as her mate he has to convince her he has always loved her,but didn't think she was his. Kind of funny when his best friend loses a bet with one of the other "Goddess chosen" women because Rilic gave the exact answer she said he would.

The only thing I didn't like were a few grammatical errors that got really bad in the last part of the book. Sometimes it was hard to understand what was being said. I don't blame the author for this, I figure this is the fault of the editor and publisher. Other than this I really enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to the sister's story in the next book.

(This review contains some spoilers)

I had previously read the first three books in this series and even though I enjoyed them I was left feeling not completely satisfied as their were some issues I had with the books so I decided not to read this one at all. But after a while I gave in and decided to give this book a chance and to my disappointment came across the same issues I had with all the previous books. In this one our main characters Avery and Rilic are meant to be mates chosen by the Goddess of Rilics faith unbeknownst to them both. Avery first encounters Rilic in her dreams then when she encounters him looking like a hobbo has a panic attack. After that scene I would have loved to read from his point of view what he thought of her but it went straight back to her, I found that the book was not equally shared between them but was mostly told by her point of view. What really puts me off from these books though is the fact how quickly our characters are brought together and fall in love. Their's no getting to know each other, no building of chemistry between them or of desire. The only thing present was lust, Avery fancied the pants off Rilic literally and proceeded to throw herself at him even though he rejects her twice, god I know he was gorgeous but have some self respect woman and make him work for it! Instead she keeps on insisting and eventually Rilic realises she's the one for him so he proceeds to tell her before they have sex what will happen between them if they do, and what a long explanation it was, it completely killed the mood and made the scene robotic. Their was no romance or passion and after he finished his speech he had basically told her that once he came inside of her she would be his mate/wife. At that point I would have at least expected Avery to think about it, I mean it's an important decision and she hardly new him but nope, sexy man with giant apendige equals gagging for it woman who will do whatever the guy says. Even the sex scene felt off to me, it lacked passion, heat, desire, it was just rough and fast paced, animal like so basically lust filled more than anything else. After it was done they were mates and then came the annoying fact that they were always calling each other husband/wife every time they talked to each other just grated my nerves. Also the fact that she managed to solve the superbug problem so fast was a bit of a let down, other events in the story were given presidence over the fact that Avery had to research a cure for an epidemic hitting the planet. On a positive note I found Rilic overall sweet, supportive, extremely good looking and kind and you couldn't help but feel for Avery, what she and her sister went through was horrible and it explains why she's so timid and a loner but inside though she was a fighter, extremely intelligent and a survivor.

This book was very good & I will have book hangover today as I started this book at 9:30 last night & didn't finish reading it until 1:50 am. I was pulled into the story right away & didn't want to put it down until the end & now can't wait for the next book in this series. Rilic & Avery's story has intrigue, plotting & sex in it. Avery while trying to find a cure for one thing winds up also curing the female Olodians of another problem that they've been having & Rilic after all his service for the Goddess finally gets the one thing he's been waiting for & almost spoils it; but with the help of Tordin & Phoebe he doesn't. I'm going to tell you anything else as that would be spoiling this for you. But this was a very good book.

I was surprised to see what trauma occurred to the sisters. The goddess selected the Earthean sisters to fulfill a destiny that Relic had a calling to do. I am glad I read the 3 books prior to reading this one. Avery being framed and Elle with the accident suffered horrible treatment on the discovery space ship. The life of a botanist can only be enhanced by being granted to new life from another solar system. I am looking forward to the next I. The series and more books from this author. It may not be hardcore science fiction but it is definitely enough to satisfy and I have plenty of other authors to enjoy with the deep stuff. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The Goddess works again with Avery and Rilic this time. But Rilic fights their need for each other in the beginning. Rilic helps Avery work on an antidote for the contamination of the Earthian's food supply that she is blamed for. Then there's violence on Olodia as a result of a few Earthians. There's lots of action and steamy scenes.

Dream Lover

Avery, always thought that the man of her dreams was just that until, she walked into her captain’s office and there he was. I enjoyed this book as well as the others of this series. The plot and characters were well written and I can’t wait to read the next book.

I love reading this series and I hope it never ends. I cannot help but rejoice in having strong Black female characters who have faith in the Goddess. Keep writing.

Redeemed by Rilic is the fourth book in Mychal Daniel's Olodian Alien Warrior series. Redeemed by Rilic is full of greatness with a brilliant story-line and come-off-the-page real characters!

It is no secret that I LOVE sci-fi romance, but lately I feel like every book I pick up is sci-fi romance is pretty light on the actual story-line and overly focused on the sex. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some heat in my sci-fi, but I need a STORY. I need real characters! Redeemed by Rilic did just that. It didn't stop at SEXY. It delve into a new world and conflicts with depth, just what sci-fi should be about. It was a fun read and I loved the main character, Avery. She was just adorable and written with such passion, it is hard to believe she isn't a real person.

I would also like to talk about something else, that might ruffle some feathers, but it's the truth. BBW books...sometimes get too focused on the internal (and negative) dialog that surrounds the "big" part of the BBW. (For those of you with blank looks...BBW = Big Beautiful Women) The negative internal dialog can be hard for me to read, often I think because they echo my past and sometimes current thoughts. If I am going to read about someone like me, I want them to be proud of themselves and self accepting. Give us girls something to strive to be like! Avery was like this. Yes, her size was brought up. She also didn't negative-talk herself down constantly and pointed out what she loved about herself. Inside and out. Daniels nailed it. She made a big beautiful women that was intelligent and confident, yet not without flaws. AND a man shouldn't make it all better. You should feel beautiful without the man, with the hopes that he takes your self confidence to a new level. Redeemed by Rilic, did THIS.

The world building was well done, especially since I was coming in at book 4 in a series. I never felt lost or confused and I didn't feel like there was a lot of back information shoved onto the pages, it just seemed to flow into the natural story-line. This sci-fi was a well rounded read with a great Happily Ever After and I will certainly be picking up more in this series!

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Oh lawdy, I adored Rilic! OMG, I can't seem to get enough of these Olodian Alien Warrior Series by Mychal Daniels. They are SOOOOO GOOD, and Redeemed by Rilic was even better than the last one. More seductive, lip-bitingly yummy with a wonderfully, beautiful curvy woman and the alien who wins her heart. God, how I loved Rilic and Avery!

Avery is smart, sassy, curvy and prefers plants over people for the most part. Except when it comes to her sister and Rilic. Especially Rilic. He brings out her sensuality like no one's business. And I loved how he treated her. He was protective, caring, sexy, and wonderfully male. The passion is top-notch and the plot perfect. This series is as addicting as Laurann Dohner's Zorn series!

I loved this book. There is a bit of mystery behind who is framing Avery and plenty of sizzling chemistry and HOT HOT SEX! These aliens know how to romance a woman and the elements of the Goddess is surprisingly delightful. Please keep these books coming. I give Redeemed by Rilic a POWERFUL FIVE SHOOTING STARS! This series is one of my favs and Redeemed by Rilic is my favorite of the books so far. YUM!

Another WONDERFUL book in the Olodian Alien Warrior series, and I loved it! I was hooked! This book is probably the best in the series.
Rilic and Avery are perfect for each other and it is a Goddess blessed relationship. Rilic, of course, is fighting it with everything he has even after an attempt on Avery's life. There is a plot they must work to overcome, and a past that needs to be addressed so that Avery can complete her work from the Goddess. There are some comical parts, some parts where I wanted to slap Rilic upside the head, a framing, kidnapping, murder, devious plots, hot sex, and healing in this book.

They just keep getting better and better. Rilic and Avery's story will have you reading till the end just to see what happens. Rilic finally gets his wish from the Goddess only to almost lose it, can he make up for it in time. Avery who is focused on what she deems is important, her work, trying to recover what has gone wrong, doesn't see what's right in front of her but will also discover a way to help the Olodians in the process. There are many new reveals in the storyline you will be floored. Sorry no spoilers here but if you want to know more you simply have to read this book you won't be disappointed. Now to patiently wait for the next in the series......Please let it be soon

Where are the aliens like this, cause I want one

Mychal has added another gem to her Olodian series. There were a few spots where the grammar and spelling need to be checked but it doesn't detract from the story too much. We've met Rilic previously so I'm glad he's gotten his story. Avery took a bit to like but as her story unfolds we begin to understand why she is the way she is, Rilic is sweet, honourable and so focused on his mission that it takes a bit before he finally realises what he's being gifted with. I can't wait for the next in this series.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFULLY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE BY MYCHAL DANIELS

Avery and Relic's story brings emotions into constant play with their matchup. Present occurrences, situations and dramatic dangers surrounding them. ELLE and AVERY'S past traumatic experience with the sisters is an horrific event that they are either not able or not willing to deal with as much as they need to in order to heal. Can't wait for ELLE'S story with Emperor Gordon.

Good read

This story is about a doctor/botanist falsely accused of spreading a horrible disease on her ship. With the help of her sister and an incredible handsome alien they uncover a far deeper conspiracy. The book started very slow to me, but picked up nicely as the story progressed. Three stars because I hate when the main characters fall in love quickly. Half of the fun is reading the build up and tension. Other than that good read.

Another great story

Yet another great story for this series. I have really enjoyed each and every story in the Olodian series. This book was just as exciting and captivating as the others. Ms. Daniels has created another great story and only problem is that I have to wait for the next book to see what happens next.

Another great story in this Olodian warrior romance series. Each is a standalone book but has reoccurring characters which bring the Olodian world into focus. Really an interesting and fun read.

The story was enjoyable. I liked the main characters and how they met. I liked the goddess effect that was introduced into the story. It made the story that much more imaginable.
