“Baby, you buat I terkejut. Apa pasal you suka muncul senyap-senyap macam hantu? Tak reti bagi salam.” – Gianna

“Sayang, I belum tukarkan penama ke atas pewaris harta-harta I ke atas nama you. Bunuh I sekarang takkan memberikan you apa-apa faedah. Letakkan pisau tu ke dalam laci sekarang.” – Emeeriz

“I sayangkan you tapi I tak sebaik yang you fikirkan.” - Gianna

“I juga tak sebaik yang you fikir, Gianna. So, it makes us so perfect for each other.” – Emeeriz

Kerana ibu kandung, hidupnya sengsara…Dan kerana lelaki pula hidupnya jadi tak keruan.

Mampukah Gianna merasakan kebahagiaan untuk dirinya? Dapatkah Emeeriz menerima kekurangan Gianna? Al-Wazir: Permata Terindah ini akan merungkai segalanya.

Straight to the point ---> Dear author, please make up your mind on the following matters:

1. Emeer is an alumni or Harvard University or not?
Pada satu ketika, dinyatakan Emeer adalah alumni Harvard University and the next second, bukan pula. Perbezaan mukasurat hanyalah few pages!

2. You want to talk about Cambridge as in UK or US? Cambridge university or Cambridge the place at Massachusetts?

3. Izkandar new wife is Hana or Nadia?

Kritikan:

1. Kurangkan or even better tak payah gunakan langsung perkataan yang negatif seperti Shit. Dahlah yuni baca ketika puasa. Can you feel my feeling? It's your choice to make it as your habit, dear author. Tapi jangan babitkan orang lain sekali!

2. Emeer dikatakan billionaire. Tapi cara penulis menceritakan kisah2 hidup dia ni, sound weird somewhere in the middle.

3. Ada certain issues terus terhenti begitu sahaja tanpa penyelesaian disebabkan Emeer tidak suka dipaksa membuat apa2 atas arahan orang lain.
- Emeer kahwin dengan Gia untuk dapatkan share. Tp last2 Emeer buat macam Gia yang bersalah, atas tiket dia sebagai suami perlu dipatuhi. WHAT?

4. Sekejap kata Emeer masih cintakan Nadia. Sekejap kata dia cintakan Gia. Hmm... Patutnya ni dimasukkan dalam kategori atas kan? Make up your mind, dear author!

Tahniah:

1. Yuni suka walaubagaimana pun situasi Gia, Emeer tetap setia.

2. Cerita yang tebal so sempatlah untuk merasa segala perasaan amarah, sedih, lawak.

3. Tak sabar nak baca kisah Eidruz pula.

4. I demand Mikhail/Katrina story!!!!

tw / cw: character with mental disorders: ~ PTSD /+ relapse, schizophrenia; suicide attempt; child abuse: ~ physical and mental abuse, abandonment; (former) adult x minor relationship

This story is a about Gianna, what seems to be a normal girl from the Renaldi, a humble 'new money' family, and Emeeriz, an heir from the Al-Wazir 'old money' family. To overthrow the elders from the Al-Wazir group and change the 'dirty' way on how the group runs, Emeer is required to marry in order for him and his future wife gainined the majority of the share with the company in accordance to his grandpa's will. In order to do so, he planned to marry a woman from outside of his family, to break their intermarriage tradition. He deemed Gianna to be the most suitable to be his partner, but little did he know, Gianna had her bigger own problems, related to her condition, her family, as well as her past. By agreeing her marriage into a socialite family, there are more burden and secrets that she was kept into the from that might added into her own existing problem. This is a story of a 'broken' regular girl and an egoistic man and their journey of forgiveness, acceptance, and searching for genuine love between one another.

• I promise you, this is an interesting story that is quite different from anything I've read before. But I was really contemplating on whether I actually like the story, or not, because I do, but I don't all at the same time. I really do love the premise and the idea that is focusing on 'old money' family and their internal issues and dirty works, but the execution was quite lacking in term of story telling. Maybe I put way too much expectation onto the story, but there doesn't seem much going on. Don't get me wrong, the idea of the younger generations trying to overthrow the elders in the family was conveyed quite okay, but despite being in high society / socialite, there's barely any 'show of power' between them, well except in their group meeting, and that's it.

The requirement for the marriage seems irrelevant and the suitability of that lady also doesn't make much sense the more I've progressed through the story, since they doesn't even have social gatherings at all, not even events, not even ladies hi-tea, nothing. It makes me wonder why ML needed a lot of criteria that to be suitable for his partner, them me, thinking that it's to aid him and showing off on how great of a partner she is. BUT, 95% of the time, Gianna doesn't seem to provide much or needed at all towards the group, except holding her 'extra' share and actually meet the people in the 'family' once. It's such a let down since I was expecting she is needed in social events environment (which I found extremely odd over the lack of it), or her personality was needed to ensure the group members how suitable she really is to be the wife of the heir.

• The mental disorders, PTSD and schizophrenia told in the story was actually quite well written and researched. The discussion with the psychologist was quite okay and it was actually explained. On the other side, the causes, and the effects was told responsibly and in depth, and I really respect that. One thing I don't really like is how people, including her own husband around FL took her illness lightly, and sometimes when she's having relapse, it went through so fast was simply dismissed afterwards.

• The biggest elephant in the room and the actual external conflicts of me, as a reader, is facing. It makes me wonder whether this book even have editor in the first place — Punctuation problem (no commas to seperate two different points in one sentence), word / sentence arrangements, grammar problem (both bm and english), repeating wrong spelling of the same word (eg. usage of lojik, not logik), incomplete sentence, wrong / messy sentence arrangements, repeating wrong character names when referring to entirely different person (for instance, Izkandar's wife is called Nadia, not Hana), and it doesn't stop there.

I had to stop for a veeery long time to process what I'm reading almost half of the time, up until I started to believe that I, myself, is the one that has comprehension problem (when it's not me). Also, the further I read, something I do think that the author herself might not know her own characters very well due to how inconsistent the information about them were presented in the storyline.

• Plot progression in the of timeline feels extremely odd, the timeskip actually make me as a reader feel left out and clueless. One of the biggest example is that one year skip after their marriage, how Gianna suddenly said that there's a contrast between how Emeer acts back at America and Malaysia were so different, yet us as a reader couldn't see at all what the differences is all about and couldn't make such judgement as she is.

• Some important information sometimes feel like it's only mentioned in a passing kind of information, then suddenly it was brought up again randomly at different points. For instance, a lot of the random dialogue sometimes doesn't contribute much to the plot itself, up to the point my brain will simply dismissed it's importance of the actual important information on the story.

• Some of the things done or told about the characters in the story were quite inconsistent and confusing, that none of them were addressed / explained at all. — eg. Gianna went clubbing with her assaulter and she went out of character why getting close to him and wear sexy dress; then there's the incident where the cousins talk about how they feel bad for Gianna, talked behind her back, planned to apologize, but never did it at all; and the entire thing with Emeer confessing that he still likes Nadia and even called her his girlfriend, that was simply ignored; Emeer being Harvard alumni, but he's doesn't, but he is; Gianna once said Emeer is currently is still a student???; Gianna once said that Emeer's mother bermadu berpuluh tahun, when his father's marriage with Nadia is recent and after the divorce — there are more but these are some unexplained things I still don't understand until the end.

• Issues with overly done plot convenient. First half of the book us only about Emeer's journey on his plan of wooing Gianna, it was sooo long. To be honest I was expecting something more, on how Emeer is going to make Gianna fully accept him,- but everything ended up only being a forced marriage, and the change of heart from Gianna also felt abrupt. It was such a huge let down. — the overthrowing the elders in the group and exposing the conflicts were also sooo brief and way too smooth without any danger, and somehow it ended up becoming a minor plot.

• Btw, not a fan of Emeer. No matter how he is such a man with a big ego, I can only sees him as a huge hypocrite. He knew about her mental health issues, but he never took interest nor he even bother avoiding doing things that could trigger her. He hated it when FL hide things for him, but ALWAYS kept her in the dark and causes her to have trust issue that he himself has causes. I was so angry when when Gianna had her relapse, he doesn't seem to take her seriously and even suggested that he would force her to see things that other people suffer greatly than her past condition, how insensitive it is lah, dah lah that literally downplayed and dismissed how serious her issue is, tapi sikkan lah he didn't think that it would trigger her even more kot? Other things included how he was being condescending by telling her that no one will hire her despite how well she did in uni and great internship experience, at the same time forcing her to work, yet he doesn't allow her to work at the place of her choice and would only accept it if she works with Al-Wazir (which is kinda irony sebab he despise his family members using power, but he's doing the same thing; there's also where he suddenly became misogynist and brought down her academic achievement just because she didn't cook THAT DAY for him because he wanted her to cook for him without telling her he wanted her to cook for him in the first place (yes this is as ridiculous as it sounds); there are many more, but lastly, when she wanted to change for better and get over her guilt to see people from her past, it's a good thing kan? But then he suddenly threatened her and went angry if she didn't come back sooner. Eh angol ngan rolaki tok bah, ego biar bertempat bah.

• Kiefli's relationship with Gianna gave me a heebie jeebies, I don't mind his kindness and all of that, but can we talk about how he technically dated a minor?

It's a good attempt at writing story about such topic, despite all of the issues, it's still an interesting story and I had fun reading it. Quite okay if you guys could stand a lot of mistakes going on in the book.

A reread.

Apa yang membuatkan saya nak membaca buku ni? Pertamanya, saya dah lupa jalan cerita ni. Keduanya, i used to love this book.

Saya sangat sukanan novel ni, dan sangatla susah nak move on lepas khatam novel ni.Rasa macam book of the year jea.

I love at how the writer uses her knowledge on business and apply dalam buku ni.. Sebelum baca buku ni, I baca Raid Arjuna dan dalam buku tu about bisnes juga. I tengoklah tarikh cetakan Al-Wazir: Permata Terindah and it was in 2016?!!! Kiranya, penulis-penulis negara kita memang dah mula bergerak buat novel yang ada base pengetahuan lain.. Not just pengetahuan towards a feeling of love tapi juga misi yang sebegitu. Good job, writer!! Sekarang or bila-bila, I nak buru Al-Wazir: Mahligai Krtistal.

And also, I love how you ambil setting tempat.. Never been to such place but I could 'see' the beauty and romance of the setting.. hehehehe

Penulisan dalam buku ni bagi saya superb. Banya kali saya reread, tak pernah jemu. Zaman sekolah dulu pinjam daripada kawan asalnyaa sebab tak mampu. Dah habis degree ni baru terfikir nak cari balik. Nasib baik kat popular rm10 je. Anyway, saya masih menunggu Al-Wazir siri kedua🥹 Nak cari penulis, tapi tak jumpa media sosial beliau.

Jalan cerita penuh dengan emosi. Ingatkan conflict biasa, rupanya berat.

overall saya memang terhibur membaca novel al-wazir,
Good Luck Author,

Tapi Emeer tetap sabar, hadam semua kekurangan Gianna sedangkan Emeer seorang perfect 10..
