My edition dates from 1971. It is a collection of essays, some of which are seminal. Bernstein on the framing of educational knowledge, Keddie on classroom knowledge, a couple of essays by Pierre Bourdieu, and one by Robin Horton on African Traditional thought compared to Western Science, all of which are still worth reading today, although much needs updating.
