Danger lurks in the most familiar places.
When General Arbuckle reveals the peculiar existence to the world, the Academy of Peculiars is forced to close as a way to protect the faculty and students. Sophie Harper is more focused on the fact that her best friend, Jane, may actually be alive than Arbuckle and the United States military. Daryl's older and mental brother, Marvin, is quick to promise Jane's safe return after brokering a deal with Daryl and Ethan, the academy's dean. But something doesn't sit well with Sophie about Marvin, and if Jane wasn't involved, she's certain Daryl wouldn't have trusted his brother. On top of that, a familiar body winds up slaughtered at the academy gates. Now it's up to Sophie to figure out who could have done it and why, while dodging flying bullets and suspicious ex-boyfriends. Will wants nothing more to protect her; Sophie wants nothing more than find her friend - and herself.
In the epic conclusion to the Stranger Series, Sophie will learn that just because someone is ambitious does not mean they're evil, those that she trusts the most have the power to betray her with relative ease, and the best relationship she can ever hope to have is the one with herself.
Full disclosure: I am an acquired taste. I'm a typical blonde Orange County suburbanite who says 'like' more than necessary, laughs loud and probably obnoxiously, and loves to dance in the rain. I'm a 23 year old college graduate with more than a few tricks up my sleeve, and I also happen to be a pretty big Ducks fan. Oh, and I'm a writer. Like, for real.
This has been a fantastic and gripping urban fantasy trilogy and this last book just brings it all together! With things going wrong from the start this rollercoaster never stops! There’s twists and turns and double cross, mystery, murder, danger, drama and intrigue and through it all our characters who never back down! A great ending to this trilogy!
Breakneck pace, intricately & tightly woven story line, a very good, well-written book, reminiscent of Jennifer Malone Wright, Alicia Rades, Kristin D. Van Risseghem and similar authors, The third in a series, different than what I've read from her before, I can't help but be amazed by the volume & variety of writing Heather C. Myers can produce. I'll read more by her in the future.
Keeper had more editing issues. More than that, I hate pat endings, and on buddy, does this have a pat ending. Right down to stating straight out what the author's message to the reader is. The writing felt formulaic, which was disappointing but probably works better with younger readers.
It was an okay read. Author seems to come up with certain aspects of some of the powers, but never touches on them again. Very inconsistent, seemed like ages and other things constantly changed. Some of the characters were good and likeable, but for some very old people, they were awfully immature.
This is the third and final book in this series and we see as things have hit the fan because General Arbuckle reveals the peculiar existence to the world. While the story was good, there were things that kept changing that were different from the other books timelines and backstory.
I choose this rating cause I loved the characters and the story. I loved reading this story cause it is not a usual paranormal read. I highly recommend this fantastic story to everyone who loves reading about paranormal romances.
This is one if those story lines that leaves you wanting to know what happens after. I loved the characters. I hope there ends up being one more to let us know what happens when they are all grown up.
I have really enjoyed meeting these characters and following their story. The only thing I would change is I would like for Michael to have gotten a happily ever after.
I really enjoyed reading this third and final book in this trilogy. Aside if the occasional typo and inconsistency, it was an action packed, romantic and interesting story.
This is book three in the Academy of the Peculiars Saga and brings to a conclusion the events that occurred, in book two, over the Christmas break and involved two of the main characters, Jane and Sophie. It also involved their evolving relationships with Nikolai and Will, respectively and the dangers brought about by family. General Arbuckle has his own agenda and has revealed the presence of Peculiars to the world. His attack on the Academy leaves it having to close for the first time in its long history.
The two girls, Sophie and Jane, are still the main characters in this book. Jane is thought dead after the events at the General’s get-together of all the important scientists, military and government people and media ready for his reveal. Matters went a bit haywire and Sophie pulled the others out, but Jane was thought shot and dead. Her body hasn’t been found, but that means little. Sophie isn’t sure about what actually happened at the hotel, but something isn’t right.
The names in the blurb about this book, I presume have been changed, because the main person looking for Jane is Nikolai, who has come to realise how much he misses her presence. His older brother, Fodor, is the only one that could be responsible for hiding Jane’s presence. Sophie has to figure out the puzzle and rely on Bri to help or not, but still keeps secrets from Will, that may or may not destroy the trust in their relationship. Ethan knows a lot of the players in this scenario and is somewhat too good to be true. Someone known to those at the Academy is left dead and hanging from the gates of the Academy. Maybe as a warning, maybe as a red herring!
Sophie, Will and Nikolai are the main opponents to the General and Michael’s plans and will have to work hard to get Jane back, if she is alive. The military will be coming back for them, especially Sophie and Michael has his own reasons to want Sophie, the only female Physical on the planet. They are a rare occurrence and Sophie and Michael may very well be the only ones in existence. Michael doesn’t understand as much about the normal world and how relationships should work, with his persistent wish to make Sophie his, even against her wishes.
Who will have to be sacrificed to ensure the rightful outcome to events, is for the reader to find out, but that doesn’t mean he is evil. Others may be in their actions and prove it all the time. Trust has to be earned and can easily be broken by those closest to you. Relationships in the small group may become strained, but they need to rely on each other and have a bit of give and take. These younger Peculiars may not have as much experience as their mentors, but they definitely have a more modern outlook on life and friendship, relationships and the world about them.
Knowing and trusting yourself is the most important relationship as this book shows. The powers they possess as Peculiars are part of them, but not everything about them. It would be great to see how they progress in lives outside of the Academy, but this is apparently the last book in the series. Maybe the author will write about their later lives at some point, as they are great characters. I will now have to look out for some other books to read by this author. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
General Arbuckle reveals the existence of Peculiars to the world and so the school has to close. Jane seems to be alive and Daryl's older brother (who is also mentally unstable) agrees a deal with Daryl and Ethan to get her back by Sophie has a bad feeling about it all. Can Sophie get to the bottom of it all with a dead body and a protective ex-boyfriend to cope with as well?
The book was well written, the descriptions of places, emotions and the characters were given in great detail. This was the conclusion of the series. It was nice to read the conclusion of the story and see all the pieces join up, but I have a real problem with the very end - it was crying out for more books to be written about the characters.

This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.

The jig is up and the Peculiars have been outed to everyone! Oh My! In order to protect the students the Academy is forced to close. Jane is alive and Sophie has to get her back. Can she so it? A body shows up and Sophie has to solve that mystery too.

This has been a wonderfully gripping trilogy, this last book seems to tie it ALL up in a pretty lil’ bow. With things going wrong from the start this non-stop Wild Ride in truly non-stop! There’s twists and turns a plenty … double cross and mystery galore … murder, danger, drama and intrigue it’s got plenty! Through it all our Friends, (the characters) do not give in, back down or give up! A great ending to this trilogy!
I received this as an Advance Reader Copy from Booksprout with the hopes I would like it and review it.

We have foes to fight and people to save, just another day in paradise. Mastering the ups and downs, weaving a cocoon so intricately and tight, drawing you deeper into this tangled web until nothing else exists. Throw in distress, revelations and turmoil and you have the recipe for one incredible experience. Pushing on-ward through the trials and tribulations along with a slew of twists and turns that thrusts this bad boy to whole new level. The characters are authentic and realistic with on point personalities and depth that blew this baby wide open and exposed in all it's glory. The scenes are so colorfully descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Isadora, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
This is the third and last book of this series. Things are going crazy because General Arbuckle reveals the peculiar existence to the world and the Academy of Peculiars is forced to close for the protection of the faculty and students. But Sophie Harper is most interested in the possibility that her best friend, Jane, may actually still be alive. Will she be able to find her? If she does, can she save her?
The fast pace continued in this story line, with twists and turns still keeping the reader engaged and eager to see all those loose ends tied up. The author tells us in the blurb that Sophie will learn that just because someone is ambitious does not mean they're evil, those that she trusts the most have the power to betray her with relative ease, and the best relationship she can ever hope to have is the one with herself. So grab your copy and watch for these lessons learned as you find out the fate of everyone as the adventure comes to a close.
This is book three of the series. I strongly recommend starting at the beginning or this one won't make a lot of sense.
Wow. This was an awesome conclusion to an excellent story. The book is very well written and easy to read with a diverse cast of characters that complex personalities and motivations. We learn a lot in this book which brings everything together to our dramatic conclusion. The story still has several twists and turns as it proceeds which keeps you guessing up to the end. Overall, it was a fun read, well worth the time invested.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic finish!! The characters are so determined. The women are determined to do anything they can to finish this. The men are determined to do anything necessary to protect the women. Not only is a sociopath after them, but the US government is also after them to breed an army. Ewwww! Of course they have no choice or input of any kind. This is another fast-paced, action packed, suspenseful romance. They have all learned more about themselves and what it means to love someone. Maybe sometime we could check back on the academy and see how everything is now there is no one trying to kidnap or kill them. I highly recommend this series! I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
We come to the end, with still a few questions. What happened to everything of Michaels? What happened to Brie at the end? What happened to Dianna? Who is this Jared that shows up on and off? Chaos has hit the Academy. Michael wants Sophie? Arbuckle wants Jane and maybe Sophie? The guys are struggling with their feelings. Who can they trust? Did that person really do that to them? Can they get over everything that is happening? This was a good read but I felt so much was left out even if it would have made the story longer.

This trilogy was one of those which makes you think of more than just the plot, it makes you question people, society, government and so much more.
Book 3 in the peculiar series was perhaps one of the most complex books in terms of people and their relationships with themselves and with each other. Though the plot is about a high level government official trying to capture the strongest peculiars and creating them into perfect weapons, there's so much more going on just below the surface.
This book was a great ending to an equally great series and I will be looking forward to more.

There are more special peculiars than believed. Sophie and her boyfriend and her friends have to find Jane and they have to take down Michael and his group. They want to build a powerful army using special peculiars as breeders and they must be stopped. Jane’s boyfriend is heartbroken and hopes his twin brother can help, but his twin brother is in league with people not to be trusted, and another friend will betray Sophie and Jane. Are Sophie, Will, Jane, Elle, Daryl, and Ethan strong enough to take down such a powerful group? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
I absolutely love this series of books, the action starts slowly and builds, The characters are well defined early on and blossom throughout the series, you can feel the tension building between the main characters early in the series which develop wonderfully as each book progresses. Very well written storey. There are no cliff hangers as such but each book always leaves you wanting more so be warned though once you start reading this series you won’t be able to put the books down so be prepared for some binge reading.
This was the final book in the Academy of the Peculiars series and it tied everything up in a very satisfying, happily ever after way. I’ve always enjoyed all the main characters but especially in this book I have to admit to a big book crush on Depogare. He and Jane have a special relationship that was explored more here and a lot more was learned about him. I’m sorry to have the story end but there were no annoying loose ends and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
I kind of don’t even know what to say about this book. I’m especially lost over what I can say without getting lost firmly in spoiler territory. It picks up hard on the heels of the previous book and the thrill ride never slows down. There are unexpected twists and double-crosses that kept me desperately flipping pages trying to figure out how the heck it would all turn out. I loved seeing the confident, talented young women Sophie, Jane, and Brie turn out to be.
If you've read the previous books in the series, then you definitely have to read this! Everything comes full circle in this final installment of the "Academy of Peculiars". Just like the previous books, this one is well written, with excellent characters, amazing world building, plenty of action and adventure, magic and amazing plot twists.

Keeper at Dawn: Book 3 in The Stranger Chronicles is a great ending to the series! This book does not disappoint! The storyline remains fast-paced and unique, easy to read from start to finish. The characters are well developed and endearing. The different stories are wrapped up in good manner that allows for closure for each of them. This series was truly a pleasure to read!
First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Holy shiznet!!! This was the best story. So many things happen to Sophie, Jane, Will, Nickolai, and many other characters in this story. It made books 1 & 2 come together perfectly. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
