M/M Mpreg Alpha Male Romance

Justin knows he’s a lucky guy. He might live with his parents and work at their winery, but he’s an omega living in a community of alphas and omegas. He doesn’t have to hide who he is, he’s got a great job doing something that he loves and he lives in some of the most beautiful country in the world. The problem is that once Aaron, a local alpha, declared his interest, none of the other local alphas were willing to get in Aaron’s way. It doesn’t matter that Justin’s not interested in Aaron; as long as Aaron refuses to take Justin’s “no” for an answer, Justin will have to stay single.

When an injured alpha staggers in, carrying a small child with him, Justin isn’t thinking about mating or about Aaron. He thinks that Eric is someone who needs help. Eric has escaped something terrible down in West Virginia, and lost his mate in the process. If Justin gets a little attached, that’s only natural. When Aaron’s jealousy starts to endanger Eric and his child, will Justin have to make a desperate choice to save them?

This is a non-shifter alpha/omega mpreg gay romance book. This book contains sexually explicit content not suited for those under the age of 18. The book is approximately 50,000 words, has a happy ending and does not end in a cliffhanger.

YES ! *** Once again we get an Aiden Bates sexy love story ! *** Love this great romantic tale of a tormented Eric who has lost his mate to a violent death, and ran with his daughter to save her. Livy is three and a real cutie, but hasn't spoken since she witnessed her father's attack. The finally made it to a safe town, to the Winery,
where sweet Justin - who takes care of Livy while

Eric recovers from his wounds.
Justin is awesome with kids and he and Livy are joined at the hip. Wonderfully written, with deep characters, and a flowing tale. Gosh, at 29%, it took one sentence to make my heart flutter ! Wow. ! Fabulous anticipation, a first kiss and POW ! Loved it !

Aaron and the sheriff are the most evil ones in this one, but there are other bigots and small minded idiots. We have a "set-up", a "railroading" so to speak, a false arrest, and dramatic rescue. As always with this author, the sex scenes are erotic and emotional, and Justin has his "first time" everything; a first kiss, first touching, first sex, and first love !
A terrific story with lots of heart !
Highly recommended to all. ENJOY !!

This was another A/B/O story, and it worked better for me than the last one did. This one features omega Justin, who is something of a dried-up spinster, and single dad alpha Eric. Both of them are reasonable people, and Eric falls for Justin because Justin's incredibly good with Eric's kid.

I liked both the characters. I didn't really appreciate anybody else around them, but after reading about Peter from the last book I read, Eric was an enlightened individual.

The world these people live in wasn't drawn well. There weren't really any heats, and the only thing about omegas is that they're all male and they can all get pregnant. They are also treated like 1950's housewives, which was a bit strange to see in an M/M romance.

I've tried other books by this author, which I haven't reviewed, and I like his writing. I just wish his premises actually worked better for me. This one needed... a little more passion and spark, I think, and more of an explanation of why his world works the way it does.

The story was set at a slow pace. Instances/topics that should have been expounded on were glossed over. There was no chemistry between the lead males. The concept of the alpha/omega seemed a bit backwards. I read alot of paranormal/m/m books and this story never grew legs for me. I didn't care about any of the characters even when I know I should have based on one of the storylines.
the story didn't gel. There was little to no character development, action, romance, lust or entertainment. However, you read and be the judge.

This book was funny, cute, heart wrenching and everything you could want in a short story. Justin and Eric are great characters and the author brought them to life. I enjoyed every bit of their journey even when I wanted to beat the crap out the idiot towns people.

I liked it! I read this through KU. There was some awkward phrasing here and there throughout that led to some re-reading, but it did not detract from my enjoyment. The characters were so interesting. I liked how at every turn there were choices to be made and that as a reader those choices were not always predictable. I also really liked the chemistry between the mains and the longer-term build up towards romance. If I could change anything at all, I would want to know two things-

*****SPOILERS*****

what happened to the town afterwards, and were Ryan's murderers ever caught? Thank you for a super fun read!

This book wasn't terrible - it was just lacking in small ways that added up to me being unable to connect with the characters - but it was enough that I didn't attempt the rest of the series bundle. Which is a shame because I really LOVE Omegaverse reads. Maybe I'll try others another time, I know reviews of the bundle had ratings that varied.

I would recommend this to anyone looking to dip their toes into the OV genre though. It was easy enough, uncomplicated plot, low angst, etc.

Country Passions started promising enough, but became some sort of soap. And the alpha pissed me off with his wishy washy nature. So you can’t commit because you’re mourning your previous partner? Completely understandable. But then you’re more or less okay with having a physical relationship? I’m sorry but that makes me question your honor as an alpha. Either commit or cut him loose.

A sweet read.

This is a wonderfully sweet story with thrilling parts and a wonderful HEA. I have actually read it 4 or 5 times and only just now thought to leave a review. Gotta get better at that.

Enjoyable.

Main characters were well done. No problem visualizing them. A little different concept than I am used to. Have to think about it some more. But it does open the door wider between past and future. Still one of my favorite authors. Read on.

An actual story!

I was really thrilled to find that there's a real story. There's how Eric and Livy came to Sicyon, about the winery, the town, and Justin. Sweet, strong, and definitely NOT a follower, Justin. Definitely worth the read.

The premise of this book was a little different from the other Aiden Bates books I've read. Previously the Alpha / Omega conditions were accepted and nothing to be ashamed of. In this book it was scary to realize how a little isolation can cause such difference in a society and the handling of how Omega's are treated.

I'm glad in the end they were able to move on and find a life together without the stigma that afflicted Sicyon.

Well, this was a new take on the whole m/preg idea. Alphas and Omegas but no shape-shifting in sight. Eric is a badly injured Alpha on the run with his daughter, having escaped the clutches of a less than understanding human mob who murdered his his Omega, Ryan. He heads for the safety of Sicyon, where there are a whole community of his kind. It is here that he finds himself being cared for by Justin (an unclaimed Omega) and his fathers, and despite knowing he is not in any kind of position to offer Justin a relationship, it is clear that both men are attracted to each other. The community abides by some old fashioned laws / attitudes to the expected behaviour of Alphas and Omegas. Many Omegas are repressed, treated as nothing more than servants, kept like prisoners in their own homes and used to churn out children but it is Justins wish to keep working in the family wine business, to maintain the friendships he has and his refusal to be claimed by Aaron, an abusive local Alpha that has resulted in him accepting that he may never find 'the one'.

Despite trying to keep an emotional distance, Eric and Justin keep being drawn to each other and when Aaron takes desperate measures to make Justin his, he only succeeds in pushing him closer to Eric.

I really enjoyed this book. There's always something going on and it keeps you guessing. I'll be interested to read more from this author.

I was wondering how a non-shifter alpha/omega book was going to work but it was great and felt totally natural! In this world some people are genetically different than "betas" (normal people) and are alpha or omega. While many alphas and omegas live in secret throughout the country, there are small secret communities where they can exist openly. One of these towns is the haven that alpha Eric and his daughter make their way to when betas attack his little family. But is it the true haven that he hopes? Justin, an omega in his mid-twenties, and his parents take Eric in. While there's definite chemistry between the two, there's also a lot in their way, including the unwanted attentions of alpha Aaron. The town people's attitude toward the situation angered me and I was lobbying hard for this couple. I loved Justin who was so loving with family and friends and wonderful with kids. You also had to love Livy, Eric's three year old daughter--her interactions with Justin were adorable, she was quite the scene stealer! There were some truly dramatic moments in the book and some tough decisions to be made. The happily-every-after was really perfect but not too sappy. I highly recommend this read. Rating 4.5 stars!
I received a free advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest & unbiased review.

Justin, an omega, who went to college so he could help his parents with their winery farm, is extremely knowledgeable about wines. He loves the town he grew up in and will inherit his parent's farm. All seems like the young man has everything going for him, except one thing. He has an Alpha that that has pestered him for years and won't take no for an answer. Aaron is nothing but trouble and an annoyance to Justin, but also the winery store, where Justin's works, and his parents.

An injured Alpha, Eric, shows up on the farm with his daughter after his mate had been brutally murdered where they had lived and ran for their lives. Eric is a kind, passionate Alpha who's amazed that his daughter, who was traumatize from seeing her other father murdered and hasn't spoke since, takes to Justin as her savior.

There's trouble for both Justin, Eric and Justin's parents with the town that they thought was a fair and protective place to live until the sheriff, Aaron and some of the town folks show there true colors to everyone, including "outsiders".

It's an intriguing and thrilling story as it moves along with sexy romance included. I highly recommend the book.

The dangers of fast held beliefs

Eric an alpha heads to Sicyon with his young daughter injured and bruised. He is taking his daughter to an enclave where his kind is safe.

Justin, an omega has spent all his life in Sicyon and until recently thought he was very lucky to have done so. However, not accepting a a suitor the the town of Sicyon deems suitable can put you on the outside of your community. Therefore, you deserve what may come your way.

When Eric crosses his path for the first time something just clicks with another alpha.

This is a love story but also a tale about how outside groups also create their own outsiders and how their actions may make them no better than their external persecutors. Although about omegas this book can stand for how women are treated in many religious and cultural groups as well as the role of fathers in the lives of their children.

I have enjoyed see in Aiden's writing develop and here the oppression of Sicyon is tightly drawn. There are several good supporting characters. This is not your usual alpha and omega story. This one forces you to think.

I really liked this book. I was slightly skeptical because I got it from Amazon for free and generally the free books tend to be less polished, but this was a keeper. I liked Eric and Justin's characters: they were developed well and weren't overbearing.
I also didn't have a problem with the antagonist Aaron. Him being such a distasteful person gave me a solid reason to hate his connection to Justin.

Some additional thoughts/info:
- It's told in third person
- Eric has a 3 y.o. daughter, which feeds well into my love of the "family" genre
- The mpreg that is noted on the cover of the book is almost nonexistent. It is mostly about Justin's friend so if you aren't into mpreg stories, this one may be okay. It's more a passing mention in this storyline.

Justin is a unclaimed/unmated omega living in a community where everyone is an alpha or omega and they are mated or claimed. His status as being an unclaimed is not a common practice in this town. But he does have an alpha running after him. But Justin wants nothing to do with Aaron. But none of the town people will help Justin and his family out with the situation. Even the sheriff is trying to pressure Justin to submit to Aaron. But then in stumbles Eric and his daughter who needs help in a life and death way.

Eric is an alpha on the run for his and his daughter's life. After his omega was killed in front of the daughter. He know of one place that can help him if he can make it there. But little does he know that his presence is going to disrupt the community. Will it be for better or worse?

I really like this book. It was really well written. I could not put down once I started reading it. I can't wait to read more books by this author. I might even include him in my favorite authors list. I recommend this book to others.

Aaron is allowed to run amok and threaten Justin.

I liked the story and premise well enough, but I don't think the author really gave us much. For starters, there was not a lot of passion in Country Passion. And I am not just talking about the lack of sex scenes. There was no fire in this book There was no build up, no tension, no angst, nothing to make you want to root for the MCs. The two sex scenes that did have was written like a after-thought and blurb. Both were only about 2 paragraphs each. It was okay that they book was not page to page sex, I admire that, but geez, these are alphas and omegas where is passion and fervor? And if you are not going to give us sex or chemistry can we get some relationship building, show us why they are attracted to each other.

On top of the lack of intensity and intrigue it was too predictable, too neat and way too much repetition and reiteration. The story seemed like never ending filler to a boring obvious end. Maybe its to much to ask, but I want more.

Very entertaining story.

I just recently read one of this author's stories and was drawn in. Very interesting concept with the Alpha and Omegas. Justin is such a great guy and your heart nosebleeds for him from everything that Aaron has put him through. How can you not fall for Eric, when he fought so hard to get his daughter to Sweetwater being shot twice. Will be going back to grab a few more of these stories.
