*****FIVE STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

Things between us have already gone past any level that I expected, and my thoughts would probably freak her the fuck out. What would she say if she knew I was falling in love with her? Would she run the other way?

I’m having the best luck lately with books by authors I’ve never read before and Bad Judgment was an off the charts HIT for me!! I have seen Meghan March’s books all across social media and saw for myself at a recent signing, what a huge and devoted fan base she has. It was time for me to learn what all the hype was about. I’m so happy to say that she has gained a new fan in me. I fell completely in love with this story and devoured it in a day. This enemy to lovers story had it all – a lovable heroine, a swoon-worthy & seriously sexy hero, a great plot, and enough schmexy to melt the panties off this delighted reader.

Justine Porter is a bright and very dedicated Grad student, in her final year of Law School. Unlike most of her fellow classmates, Justine doesn’t come from a wealthy family. Actually, her parents are drug-addicted con artists who couldn’t be bothered with taking care of their daughter. Luckily for Justine, her grandfather was able to gain custody of her and he did everything he could, even selling his house, to ensure she had the money to pay for her college tuition. Sadly, her grandfather passed away and now she is going to grad school on a full ride via a merit scholarship. Justine is determined to make something of herself and puts her studies above everything else in life. She has no time for romantic involvements, and that’s why for the past two years she has shot down the advances of one Ryker Grant.

 photo BAD JUDGMENT-teaser1_zpsy6fngfst.jpg

Ryker Grant is the object of many coeds’ fantasies, but for the past two years, he has only had eyes for Justine Porter. He’s never been in a serious relationship, nor has he ever wanted to have one. Ryker’s not used to being turned down by a woman and Justine has managed to get under his skin. He’d do anything to be with this girl. Things are about to get interesting for Ryker and Justine. She has just found out that the law school is doing away with her merit scholarship and there is no way that Justine can pay the tuition. Her luck is about to change when Ryker’s father approaches her with a proposition to help fund her education. Ryker is purposely trying to fail out of school and his father wants to stop that from happening at all costs! So he asks Justine to help steer Ryker back on the right path and see to it that he gets his grades back up and in turn, he will pay for her tuition, but the stipulation is that Ryker must never learn of their deal.

Justine wonders how she is going to pull things off since she has been pretty much an ice princess towards Ryker except for the one time she lost her inhibitions in the back of a bar with him, but somehow she is able to lure Ryker into becoming her study buddy. Spending all this time with each other turns out to be a good thing when it comes to their grades but it also opens up emotions between them that they hadn’t expected to develop.

Justine begins to struggle with keeping her secret from Ryker because she knows that she’s starting to fall head over heels for the guy. I started having major anxiety just waiting for the truth to come out and I don’t want to give too much away but just know that you will be put through an emotional ringer at some point.

BAD JUDGEMENT is available now!! Meghan March fans will not be disappointed with this one. And for those of you who haven’t read anything by this author yet, I HIGHLY recommend that you pick this one up. You really don’t want to miss out on meeting Mr. Ryker Grant!!!

That's not how this works. We come. We study. We leave."
"If we're doing this my way, you'd definitely be coming."

This book may be titled Bad Judgment, but reading certainly was no error on my part. No sir. Meghan March never fails to disappoint with introducing readers to yet another hero that's sure to melt panties within a 50 mile radius. Guaranteed. Ryker Grant was dirty talking, possessive deliciousness and I couldn't get enough of him. Nothing beats a man on a mission and a woman that's determined to resist him at every turn.
I want it all, Justine. Including the chance to show you how fucking amazing life can be when you let a few distractions in.

Justine has been avoiding the temptation of Ryker for over 2 years now. She's doing good, dammit. That is until she's stuck between a rock and a broke place. When her scholarship is snatched from her quicker than she can say "objection", she has two choices; strip to finish her final year of law school, or tutor the man that tempts her beyond reason yet she knows is so very wrong for her. So what's a girl to do?
I want her addicted to me. It's only fair, because I'll never get enough of her.

Yeah. She never stood a chance.

Bad Judgement was a slow burn sizzle. It delivered on what I've been missing in Meghan's books lately; that tension and sizzle of a couple that doesn't give into their lust but lets it burn between them until it explodes. It was utterly delicious! Ryder is a bad boy and definitely one that didn't deny himself the pleasures of women, but once he sets his eyes on Justine, she's all he wants...and he won't stop until he gets her.

Justine was a pretty endearing character. Usually when the woman is pushing the man away as much as Justine did here, I begin to get annoyed. But it surprisingly really worked for me here. Their chemistry together was fantastic and when they finally get together? Yowza! Incendiary.

So why not a higher rating? Welp, the ending. There was just way too much happening at the end. There's his stuff, her stuff, their stuff, a lot of stuff basically. Quite honestly it just felt unnecessary. And the fact that all of it hits you right at the final 15% just felt OTT for me. It would have been good with one or even 2 issues, but having all 3 combined just didn't do much for me, unfortunately.

Was it my favorite book by this author? Not quite. But I have no doubt that she has plenty more planned in that devious little pervy mind of hers and I can't wait to read it. Meghan is still an auto-buy author for me and will continue to be. I love her alphas and the woman can write one hell of a hot sex scene. Did I still enjoy this? Abso-freaking-lutely! Would I recommend it? Without a doubt!
Don't make me beg."
A darkly satisfied smile tugs at his lips. "Oh, you're going to beg."

5 'Pez Love' Stars!

Let's just start by saying how different (and still in the same style) this book is from all the others I have read by Meghan March. I love a well-developed story and Bad Judgement definitely filled my expectations on that (and everything else). Definitely not complaining on the HOT cover and.. me loves the slow burning and the moment it exploded between this couple! This book has become my new favorite by March, that's for sure.

Bad Judgement is a stand-alone novel and Meghan's first New Adult book (well done, girl!). It tells the story of Justine Porter (a law student focused on her studies, especially now that she has just lost her scholarship, and also on avoiding certain hot playboy who will not stop until he gets her) and Ryker Grant (said hottie who is very happy to know he is now being tutored by the girl he wants and a young man that comes from a rich family, a family with secrets).

“You’re scared. Afraid you might actually want what I want, and that’s why you keep shooting me down.”

I need to remind her how fucking good we could be together. If that kiss was anything to go by, when we get naked, we’ll be explosive.

This novel is described as an enemies-to-lovers story but I have to say, these two are not exactly enemies. Ryker wants to own the avoiding Justine and Justine is just afraid of what will happen if he let's him in. Everything changes when the heroine is practically forced to start tutoring Ryker and she starts falling for him (let me remind you that she wanted him since the beginning).

“We come. We study. We leave.”
“If we were doing this my way, you’d definitely be coming.”

“I want to taste you. Touch you. Make you come harder than you’ve ever come before. I want this wet pussy in my mouth. On my tongue. I want you to come on my face this time.”

Yep, if you have read Meghan March's works before you know you are getting one smokin' hot, dirty talking hero. I am seriously in love with this story and how the chemistry between the main characters developed. The sexual tension and the sex scenes were so SO GOOD. The steam, the descriptions, the dirty talking.. I loved everything! And as always, it's even better when feelings get mixed in between.

I’m going to have her every way I’ve ever imagined. She’s mine now, whether she realizes it or not.

I can have everything I want, the guy and my degree, but I’m going to have to work for them both.

Besides the overwhelming chemistry between these two, I really enjoyed the story as a whole. In other words, how it's developed in the law world, how Justine fights for what she wants, how Ryker adapts to the situations and all the different moments between them. We got scenes of all types: funny, sexy, sad, dramatic.. You all know how I enjoy a little bit of everything! And the epilogue was so sweet, I really wanted more of Ryker and Justine together!

I belong to him. I’ve found my place, and it’s not a where. It’s a who.

Therefore, my rating for Bad Judgement is 5 STARS because Meghan created a wonderful love story in the New Adult world and she nailed it! Great plot, fantastic characters who gave us lots of memorable moments and a couple with off-the-charts chemistry, who can complain about that? I highly HIGHLY recommend this!

Justine Porter is stuck between a rock and a stripper pole. She lost her law school scholarship, which means she has two choices to keep her life on track: strip for her tuition or tutor the most distractingly sexy guy in her class—the one she’s been turning down for two years straight. It should be an easy choice, but tutoring Ryker Grant could derail her plans to graduate with honors faster than two-for-one night at the Déjà Vu. Then again, topless has never really been her color.
She could take the easy road, just this once . . . but the deal has enough loopholes to trip anyone up.
Who knew they taught bad judgment in law school?

Audiobook review. Justine resists the sexy Ryker for years before they finally come together and I enjoyed the journey. While I found myself disagreeing with some of Justine's actions/opinions and was frustrated at times, I understand it was true to her character. Ryker was sexy as hell. Persistent, cocky, smart, and all the other traits that make us love our leading men. He made mistakes, as did Justine, but they complimented one another well. Their love scenes were HOT. The plot was interesting and the writing/narration mostly solid. There were a few instances in which it felt like we were told something was happening versus us experiencing with the characters. It detracted from the overall impact. There was also one critical plot point with Ryker's mother that was set up well but executed poorly as it felt very rushed and vague. I found one of Ryker's revelations at the end to be incongruent with what the story had built up to that point but I respect that the author found a way to tie it in. Overall, I found this to be an entertaining read and I am interesting in reading more from the author.

Safety: No other women or sharing. The heroine does end up uninhibited at a frat party (nothing happens with any other man). No rape. Yes to physical and emotional abuse. Yes to pushing away.

FOUR PANCAKE AND ORGASM STARS.

"Bad judgment. That’s all it was. I’m never drinking again - or kissing Ryker Grant."

description

Meghan March is quickly becoming my 'go to' author for a dirty, flirty romance fix and I can happily say that this book is one of my favourites of this authors to date. With plenty of anticipation and wonderfully paced story telling, March managed to create a fabulous backdrop for two gorgeous characters to find their way to love.

What did I love?
Firstly, let's talk about my favourite part of any romance; The first kiss. March, gets 10 out of 10 for the execution of this momentous part of the story. Hello hot first kiss I won't be forgetting that moment any time soon, in fact I think it's safe to say that it sits up there as one of the best. Job well done author and as for all the sexy scenes that followed lets just say that March knows how to write a scene that would leave most romance reader enthusiasts with a smile. I was also appreciative of both hero and heroine. Sexy alpha, irresistible hero meets a heroine that doesn't take much messing add into the mix my love for the heroines resistance and the heroes chase tactics and I was one satisfied addict.

description

Why not five?
This book was just a smidgen off claiming the full five stars. Right up until around 75% I was head over heels in love and satisfied that I'd hit home with a five star winner. Alas, it was not quite meant to be and sadly the last 25% knocked off some of the five star shine that I'd experienced with this book. Unfortunately for my tastes some of the story line lost its way with some over baked drama towards the end and as much as I loved this book it left me with a few eye roll worthy moments. But don't be dismayed this book had plenty of quality moments and overall this is a romance that I won't be forgetting too soon.

Final thoughts ...
If you enjoy sinking your teeth into well written books in the new adult genre then you will not go wrong picking up his latest romp by the lovely Meghan March. This author definitely brings the humour, banter and romance with this release. And I can happily report that I was more that a little pleased with this book from beginning to end. Enjoy, readers ... Kisses.

3.5 Stars

This was a pretty easy read, and an enjoyable one. Ryker and Justine were both good characters and I took an instant liking to them and their story. It was fun to read about Ryker chasing after Justine while she continued to ignore his advances. It wasn't done in an annoying way where Ryker seemed too stalkerish, though, so I really enjoyed that part of the book.

The romance between them was very well written, and I liked that it was a mature relationship. Sure they had their issues, but both of them handled it pretty well and there was no unnecessary drama, which made me very happy.

My problem, and reason for a 3.5 rating, was the ending. It seemed like everything came together a little too neatly and it just didn't work in my opinion. Maybe if there was more said about the connection then I wouldn't have minded, but since there wasn't I felt like it was a last minute decision the author made to connect everything in a "shocking" sort of way.

Overall, I definitely recommend this book for any NA lovers, and any lovers of a playboy changing his ways for a good girl. Bad Judgment was a different book than I'm used to from this author, but I really liked the change and now I like Meghan March even more, knowing that she can write so many different types of things.

Overall Opinion: I was looking forward to this one, because it just sounded fun (and college romances are a weakness of mine). Sadly, I was disappointed. I found myself bored through most of it, and the drama at the end just felt like it was added just for the sake of drama and then resolved way too quickly and easily. I didn't really connect with either character, and I didn't really feel their connection to each other either. I just felt underwhelmed by the whole thing tbh. Others seemed to enjoy it, but it (obviously) wasn't for me.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Justine and Ryker's story. They've known each other for years by going to school together and are attracted to each other, but Justine has been shooting down every advance that Ryker has made on her. When Justine finds out her scholarship has lost its funds, she finds herself making an agreement with Ryker's father to help pay for her tuition. The more time they spend together, the more they see that there is more than their physical attraction and they fall in love. There are some big secrets revealed, some family and ex drama, and some sexy times...and they get a HFN ending.

POV: This alternated between Justine and Ryker's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Ok. It felt slow for me a good bit. I found myself looking at the percentage many times to see how far I had gotten, but ended up just seeing that I barely had progressed. I take that as a bad sign. I never skimmed, but was easily distracted from reading.

Instalove: No. They've known each other for years.

H rating: 3 stars. Ryker. He was not bad or good. He was just ok.

h rating: 3 stars. Justine. Eh, she was just ok too.

Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.

Push/Pull: Yes, but only at the beginning

Heat level: Moderate/low. I wouldn't say it was fade to black, but it was oddly in-between that and descriptive sex scenes. The H was a dirty talker and we got descriptive details of the foreplay, but then it would like fast-forward to the end. It was kind of weird tbh.

Descriptive sex: Kind of (see above)

Safe sex: Yes. Condoms are mentioned, but I don't remember any mention of previous practices.

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had not nearly enough closure for me! The ending felt abrupt, and there were still some unanswered questions that I had. I would call it a HFN ending.

How I got it: I paid the $3.99 on Amazon for it.

Safety: I'd say that this should be Safe for most readers.

When I think of a Meghan March book, New Adult Romance is not a genre that comes to mind and neither is Romantic Comedy. Edgy, erotic, and suspenseful are all terms I’ve used to describe her previous work. I admit I was a wee bit skeptical that she could pull off a New Adult Romantic Comedy, but I’ll be damned if Bad Judgment didn’t pleasantly surprise me.

Ryker is a deliciously sexy, rich, carefree law student with a reputation for being a player. Justine is a fellow law student, but she’s focused, guarded, and works hard for her merit-based full scholarship. She doesn’t need her dreams to get derailed by any distractions, so she’s been rejecting his advances for the past two years. TWO YEARS, people! A woman can only be strong for so long though, and when Justine finally decides to give in and get her groove back, let’s just say their sexual chemistry is nothing to sneeze at. Their personalities definitely compliment each other. However, between Justine losing her scholarship, and issues of trust and guilt, how far can their relationship go?

 photo GR-BadJudgment-teaser_zpsttxvarn1.jpg

Is there a lot of drama for your average college romantic comedy? Yes. Was it enough to stop me from enjoying it? Nope. The fantastic connection between Justine and Ryker, their genuine likability, and the overall wittiness of the dialogue really sold me. There are also some unexpected plot developments that make the storyline more interesting.

I know this is a standalone, but I’d like to put in a bid for Merica—Justine’s faithful best friend—to get her own book. She is such an sweet and hilarious sidekick.

Bad Judgment has the perfect blend of warmth, humor, and romance to make it a fun read. I read it in a day, and it was the perfect way to spend a lazy weekend. After reading a string of heavy and suspenseful novels, this charming story was just what I needed.

Justine and Ryker are from different worlds. She is the poor student trying her best to get her degree and make her life for herself. Ryker is the popular rich kid that has everything handled easily. For some reason he wants Justine and for the last two years he has been unsuccessfully pursuing her. Until he starts failing some classes and Justine scholarship gets jeopardized, and she ends up being her tutor in order to finish her law degree. Which works perfectly for Ryker as he believes he finally has the perfect chance to finally get her… if their secrets don’t ruin everything first.

I fell in love with Meghan’s book since her debut novel, so when she decided to jump into the NA world I jumped right with her, no question asked. I don’t read much YA these days, mostly because there was such a big hype around them that they now seem all the same to me. And altought this book isn’t the most original one (we have a rich popular guy / poor nerdy girl storyline, we have the old ex-“girlfriend/casual sex companion” drama and we have the parental drama), the characters are nice, the connection between Ryker and Justine is very good and it is a good and solid story. Not to mention good steamy moments. Towards the end there was waaaaay to much drama and that killed the vibe a little bit, but it wrapped up nicely and I end up really liking the end.
If you’re a fan of the traditional NA, you will likely going to like this book. And if you’re a fan of Meghan March you will probably like it as well. Give it a try ;)

I needed a good New Adult Romance and Meghan March delivered a great one!

In her third year of law school, Justine is forced to figure out how to make ends meet. With her scholarship pulled due to funding issues, there is just no way can she afford tuition. Her prayers are answered when her former boss and father to the guy she’s been avoiding for three years, offers her a deal of a lifetime. But can she spend her nights with Ryker and not get distracted?

For three years, Ryker Grant has pursued Justine with nothing but rejection at every turn. He knows after one steamy kiss that he just needs to give her a little push to get her to see things his way.

With the set up complete, yet another deal is struck this time it’s between Ryker and Justine and the prize is exactly what they both want.

There are a lot of NA romances out there but it seems harder and harder to find one these days. I fell in insta-love with this book. The moment we meet Justine I was in love. Simply because she was a strong heroine and I knew that I wasn’t going to be facing an immature heroine at every turn.

The chemistry between Ryker and Justine was off the charts from their first encounter. I loved that he was a little bit cocky, had a huge ego, but was still so freaking genuine.

Another fantastic read by this author!

I was really looking forward to this book because I love Meghan March but I was really disappointed, it follows the romance between two law students Justine and Ryker. Ryker has been trying to date Justine for the last 2 years and she has always brushed him off until her scholarship is cancelled and Ryker's father offers to pay her tuition if Justine helps Ryker to get his grades up, one thing leads to another and they fall in love. The characters were ok but the story line was quite boring this one was a hard one for me to get through with the only bonus being that its narrated by 2 of the best Andi Arndt and Sebastian York.

Bad Judgement is a sharp, smart, and confident sexy romance!!!! Meghan March has boldly put her romance stamp on this steamy enemies to lovers story line as she flawlessly integrates witty characters, raw emotions and angst that seamlessly flows together.

Justine Porter is a law student who has avoided Ryker Grant and his never ever ending quest to go on a date with him for the past two years. When Justine’s world is turned upside down when she loses her scholarship, she is faced with two options. Strip or tutor Ryker Grant. So I guess it’s pretty self-explanatory on what choice Justine decided on.

The chemistry between Ryker and Justine were off the charts electric!!! There was no bad judgement made here when these two finally got together. Meghan March did an amazing job highlighting these two opposing personalities and their explosive sexual chemistry. Beyond a reasonable of doubt, March sprinkled the right amount of slow burn, steam, and romance between these two.

With Meghan March’s penchant for strong characters and steamy romance, she delivered a smart modern romance that will attract a wide array of romance readers with her stunning prose and of course fans of the enemies to lovers trope. Bad Judgement was a fun, witty, and creative romance that had steam, drama, and angst to keep readers entertained. So all there is left to say go read Bad Judgement and the only bad judgement you will make is not discovering Meghan March and her deliciously steamy books.

I think that maybe this was a case of it's just me. I had a really hard time wrapping my head around some of the book. It was all very cliche.

Justine is the smart but poor law student that had to rely on a scholarship to reach her dreams. Her eye was on the prize and nothing would stand in the way.

Ryker was the rich and entitled bad boy of law school. His prize for some reason was to land Justine. So he tried...for two years. That doesn't mean that he waited for her. Nope he still did his thing while pining away for the one who refused.

I went into this book judging by the cover (hot) and what I got was over the top drama that really was crammed into a small part of the book that I just couldn't fathom. Ryker made some really dumb decisions that were just out of left field and childish.

There was potential there but it just didn't work for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was long overdue for this book. I haven't even realized that I forgot to read halfway with this one. This is a safe read. No heavy heartache/drama/and anything-unnecessary-shit.

Justine had always kept up for herself, nobody to ask for help. She's a smart, hard working law student on scholarship. Of course when it was the most unconvinient time to happened, she lost the free ride.
Ryker, is a hot mofo who's the answer to all of Justine's problems. Ryker's father offered her to pay her tuition in exchange for her tutoring help for his son.
So you get the picture, ugh c'mon you know how the story goes.

But what you need to find out yourself is when shit hit the fan and how'd they survive it ;)
Nope, this isn't my first rodeo in this circle and I don't want to elebaorate further. So forgive me if my review is a bit bland, incomplete, patchy, inconsistent whatever shit you want to call it. Just read the damn book will yah? lol.

Plot: 4/5
Grovel: yes
Cheating: none but the H slept around during college after asking the h out multiple times
HEA: great but no babies yet
Triggers: none

Average score: 4.5/5

Best Line: h: “My pride won’t let either of them buy me a drink.”

and…

H: “It also didn’t take long for me to realize that her brains were even sexier than the rest of the package.”

Worst Line: “I shouldn’t even be allowed to be around people. I’m toxic, just like my parents.”

Personal Review:
This was a great, mature, romance between two law students – one from a privileged background and one from a poor/homeless background. Their relationship was beautiful!

Random Ramblings
•I liked that she said no to him for 2 years
•I like that the H noticed she was more than a body
•I wanted to punch her parents faces for ruining her future because I know what it’s like working hard for money and only being able to rely on myself to get my education…I would not have succeeded without my own scholarship
•The H was an idiot for even considering dropping out, he should be grateful he had a free education
•I respected Marv
•I really liked Justine…she reminded me a little of me
•Every time I think I hate the H, he surprises me with his sweetness
•There were moments I thought she would tell him the truth but then didn’t go through with it – I was both disappointed and understanding
•I don’t understand the H’s reaction if he already knew

Overall Feeling:

I totally forgot how much I love slow burn romance.
If you do too, this one is for you!
This was one more than enjoyable college romance.
It has some of the elements I really appreciate in my reads - swoon hero, smart sassy heroine, decent dose of humour and sexiness and not too much unnecessary drama.
I read it in one sitting.

Ryker and Justine. What a couple!
I loved them! Their relationship had that good old cat and mouse chase in it, that dragged for more than two years. Ryker tried, but Justine only sees him as a distraction.
Meghan brought to life two loveable characters that I had no problem with connecting to.

I loved Justine immediately. Independent, smart, determined girl who knows what she wants.
She had to deal with some pretty nasty things in her past, and now, when she finally has a chance to fulfil her dreams, there is nothing that can stop from achieving it.
Ryker had that small dose of jerkiness I somehow always end up loving in book heroes. Nothing over the top, just small dose to keep me on my toes.
So, they are both law students, and while Ryker enjoys the privileged life of being a professor's son, Justine has to work hard for her grades and her main life goal is getting her law degree.
After her scholarship is revoked, she is desperate and has to find a way to ear money and pay for her tuition asap. Ryker's father comes to her rescues, and makes a proposition she can't turn down - tutor his son. So, where's the catch? You see, Ryker is hot and she has to keep her head straight around him. Quite hard job to do. Will she fall for him? Yeah, I will not reveal.

I will just say that I highly recommend this.
It is fun, sexy and you won't regret reading it!

I don't really know what I was expecting when I started Bad Judgment, but what I got was so much more. This story sucked me in and didn't let go until the last page was read.

Justine is in law school and the scholarship she needs to be able to pay for school is now gone. She resorts to tutoring Ryker, the guy who has been asking her out for two years. Once they start studying together, and spending time with each other, they realize just how much they enjoy being around one another.

Will Justine be able to handle a relationship with Ryker, along with graduating at the end of the year with her grades in tact?

This book was sooooo good. I couldn't put it down. Justine and Ryker's chemistry was off the charts. No matter how hard she tried to resist him, after two years, Justine couldn't help but give in.

Bad Judgment had a very interesting concept, and it had me worried about how it would play out but I think it was handled well—except for a minor detail that had me a bit confused. Both Justine and Ryker had secrets that they kept from each other, and that, too, made it all the more interesting to see how it would come together.

I really enjoyed this book but I think that I couldn't give this book five stars simply because of that minor detail, and some other small parts. Despite that, I still very much enjoyed this book and loved the story, and will be reading more from this author in the future. ~ Leah, 4.5 stars

Lies make love even more complicated…

And oh, so entertaining! Justine Porter and Ryker Grant had been circling around each other for a while, until circumstances forced them into closer quarters. He wanted her and she was determined to resist. He thinks she’s hot and she thinks…

“…he’s stupid hot. As in, the kind of hot that makes smart girls stupid.”

Not that Justine was going to admit her attraction… not out loud anyway.

”While he might be tall, sexy, and mouth-wateringly gorgeous, he’s also got a lock on the crown for the kingdom of Entitled Douche Bag.”

Do you ever have that feeling when you are always waiting for the shoe to drop? That’s what it felt like reading this well-written, slow to sizzle story. A story based on lies is usually not my thing, but I couldn’t resist the pull of this author and had to give it a try. Thank goodness!

Ryker was edgy for sure, angry at the choices he was also forced to make. He still managed to endear himself though, despite his sometimes EDB (Entitled Douche Bag) exterior. Justine was completely likable with her compassionate heart and so-not-perfect life. I loved how she rolled with the punches and couldn’t help but feel bad even when the choices she made didn’t feel like options at all.

Bad boy meets good girl? More like two people doing what we all do—trying to make it through life while clinging to ideals that make it difficult. And they did it in a courtship that blended humor, sexy banter and life in a mix that felt just right.

And with complete subtly, of course… New, fun word? “dick print”. ~ Diane, 4 stars

~~~
I truly enjoyed Bad Judgment. I loved how Justine and Ryker interacted both with their regular playful banter and between the sheets. Ryker truly was just what Justine needed to help realize what she was missing out on in life—really living and having some fun. And Justine was a great moral compass for Ryker. He'd been given so much by his parents that he really didn't know how hard it was for others to make it through the day every day. I loved their study sessions and how they just had fun with each other. There were many times I found myself laughing out loud with their antics.
Add in a bit of a crazy plot twist toward the end, and you'll be sitting on your hands so you don't throw your kindle. You've been warned! ~ Missy, 4.5 stars
I am a total sucker for slow-burning romances. Throw in a possessive alpha with a heart of gold and a sassy heroine and you have a winner in my book. Bad Judgment combines all of that with Meghan March’s ability to write witty dialogue and a story that builds anticipation throughout.
Justine is an ambitious law student attending school on a merit scholarship. She has worked her ass off for everything she has gotten and graduation is the only thing that drives her. She doesn’t have time for distractions like Ryker Grant. Unfortunately, Justine doesn’t have much choice when the school cuts their scholarship budget and she needs to make money to cover tuition.
Ryker is Justine’s cocky co-ed who has been pursuing her for over two years. He’s the son of a school board member and judge, so he’s a shoo-in for good grades and an even better job placement after graduation. Too bad that being a lawyer isn’t what Ryker wants in life. What he does want is Justine, both for her body and her brains.
Justine is such a likable girl-next-door heroine. I love her independence and sass. She’s a little proud, but that only makes for better conflict with Ryker. He’s also a dirty-talker, which I like in my heroes. I love the slow burn, the pursuit, and the chemistry between Justine and Ryker. Plus, once they are together, Ryker is downright swoony.
There are several conflicts happening simultaneously and quite a few secrets, as well. One bit of drama towards the end could have been left out, but overall, Bad Judgment is a great read. It’s a quick and steamy enemies-to-lovers story with loveable characters, a cat-and-mouse chase, a few twists, and lots of heart. I definitely enjoyed it!
Bad Judgment es la primera novela que leo de su autora, Meghan March y narra la historia de Ryker y Justine.
Wooowww esta novela es un buen ejemplo de que las apariencias engañan, en un principio comence esta lectura porque pense que seria la tipica novela ligera y divertida para leer, de esas que lees solo para relajarte y dejar la mente en blanco pero realmente es mucho mas.
El libro me encanto y eso que como ya digo no iba con ninguna clase de expectativa, la empece porque tenia un poco de tiempo que matar y fue el primer titulo en el que puse mis ojos al encender mi Kindle, incluso pense en leer un par de capitulos y luego terminarlo en un par de dias .... pero me engancho tanto que no pude parar hasta que llegue a mas de la mitad.
La relacion de Justine y Ryker sin ser original o diferente, me resulto muy bonita y tierna, ademas los protagonistas no solo me gustaban cuando estaban juntos, por separado tambien me parecieron muy bien realizados.
En general, Bad Judgment fue una historia entretenida, divertida, agradable y con una pareja protagonista con muchisima quimica, obviamente si eres fan del cliche " Friends to Lovers " no puedes dejar de leerla, es una de las mejores que he leido dentro de la tematica.
Muy recomendable, aunque no parezca gran cosa al leer la sinopsis, te aseguro que vale la pena.
4 Justine and Ryker Stars
I really enjoyed this book - it was deeper and sadder in places than I had anticipated but it was well balanced with humour , sexy stuff and really likeable characters.
Justine and Ryker are both at law school - she is there because she is striving and scrimping and determined and is within touching distance of graduating. Ryker is the rich guy with the family connections and he is there because he has been told he has to be. He doesn't want to be but the expectations of him are very high. Ryker has wanted Justine for two years. She has kept him at arms length but there comes a point where their paths must cross and the fallout is either going to be disastrous or fantastic. And it doesn't get off to a great start.
Well written, great book.
Yeah ... Naw, nope, no, uh-uh.
What is it with books I think I get witty, smart banter between two intelligent people, but instead I get stomach ulcer with anger?
Personally I didn‘t find the characters likable at all. The book starts off with an accident, that should be something fucking HUGE, but alle they talk about is, that now the h has no help moving. What? Sorry , but .... What? Some awesome friend you are.
The H is a known manwhore who obviously lives up to the motto „Hit them and quit them“, wich I am never fond of. He tries to „convince“ the heroine to give him a shot for two years while screwing around, so yeah .... no. My biggest book pet peeve was the scene where he was fucking drunk driving and having a little accident - but he didn‘t even have second thoughts later on, he regretted nothing. Now the accident in the beginning came in ridiculously handy, to serve as a bad example.
The h wasn‘t much better. She is supposed to be super smart and in the beginning I did find her entertaining, but how she handled the upcoming situation was simply not to my liking. I hate it when one of the characters lies through his teeth at the other. I am all for loyalty and truth. For a supposed smart woman she is pretty stupid and didn‘t impress me at all.
The end were everything came up felt like about 2 pages long and was rushed and without sense, I found every other revelation either stupid or simply RIDICULOUS.
So ... naw, nope, no, uh-uh. This book was so not for me.
Because I loved the first book I read from this author (Take Me Back), I'm going to pretend I didn't attempt to read this one. I didn't even get a quarter of the way through so no rating. Not a fan of the hero who, for two years, makes it known how interested he is in the heroine trying to get her to go out with him, all the while hooking up with every available woman around.
Not my kind of hero.
