“Miss, since you came back, every three days, there will be someone who start a rumor to slander you……”
“Some say you are ugly and really ill and will not live till eighteen…….”
“Some say your personality is vulgar, even rural women are not as wild…..”
“There are also people who mentioned the theft of that year. They told it like it has a nose and eyes, like they personally has witnessed miss steal the glowing pearl……”
A time travel, she became the ancient version of Cinderella. Not only did her meimei rob her fiancé, she is also send by her father to chongxi1 for other people…..
What a joke! It has always been her that slaughter people, when is it their turn to be arrogant?! Beat her? Alright! A needle and you will no longer be able to lift your right hand!
Curse her? Deal! A kick and you’ll fall into the lake as food for carp!
Assassination? Good! Making it so you won’t be able to see tomorrow’s sun!
What? Want her to marry that demon wang whose eight wives died on the wedding night? No problem! She is the demoness of the white and black world. She’d like to see whom of the two of them is more evil, who is more vicious.
Only after marrying into wangfu did she know that this demon wang is different from the rumors. Not only are there different kinds of poisons in his body, he needs medication every day and on every night when it’s full moon, he’ll endure unbearable pain. That man’s weak appearance actually made her let her guard down and feel pity. She vowed, the one who made him like this, she’ll pay him thousand, no, ten thousand times back! It’s just that this man, he doesn’t seem the same like he is on the surface……
You'll like this if you've been enraptured by Chongfei Manual and Malicious Empress Of Military Lineage but with little less of the political stuff.
It seems that all I like these days are transmigration/rebirth webnovels, so I'm constantly in search for completely translated works. And this was a hit and miss for me.
But one question, yeah FL has transmigrated from the modern world but WHOA, why has she been moulded to be "perfect" and an all-rounder?
She knows everything. When I say everything, I mean it. She's an assassin, she's at the top of the martial arts scale, she's the most beautiful woman, she's a doctor, she's a designer, she knows how to make lavender incense sticks, she's never wrong, she's the boss of gaming halls yadda yadda yadda.
This was too much. Give me a break, just because she's from the future, that doesn't mean she has to know everything!
*deep breath I had to get that off my chest, phew.
Since this is meant to be a fiction/fantasy, I decided to take it with a pinch of salt as the author intended, and go ahead.
I won't lie, I was into this book and couldn't keep it down for even a minute. There was drama everywhere. The villains fell down left and right. I loved that the FL reminded me of Ye Bai from The Bad New Wife Is A Little Sweet and obviously the FLs' from the above mentioned books. That is until after the ML and FL married, the plot seemed to go downhill after that.
I skimmed through the pages and the only surprise I got in that particular arc was that Feng Cang and Murong Qi Qi were "suspected" siblings.
'Mortal Instruments' Clary Fray and Jace Herondale anyone?
Then I managed to wade through even more of the boring drama that was happening at the palace. The FLs' demeanour became slightly soft and lazier as the plot progressed. Yep, she's clever and her muslin cloth martial arts is good and all but it seemed like only thing she did in the last 50% of the book was eat, sleep and enjoy the show that unfolded among the Imperial family.
There was more focus on side characters in between, than on the FL and the ML.
This was where I started missing Shen Miao from 'Malicious Empress Of Military Lineage' since she had stayed true to her character till the very end.
The plot became slightly better from the "pregnancy" arc and I liked that there were chapters later for Su Mei and Wanyan Kang, since they are the second couple whom I shipped in this book.
Another major problem was, even though the book is named as "Demon Wang's Favorite Fei", Feng Cang was hardly a 'demon'. Ever since his character was introduced to the readers, he has been a cute marshmellow. Though it is said that he was a 'demon' until he met Murong Qi Qi, I'd have preferred to have a glimpse at that part of his life too. Because all the 'demon' that I ever saw was that he would 'glare' at those who made him furious.
In short, this read was just a cyclical variation. It didn't win me over, but neither did it truely disappoint me. I'm surprised that this hasn't been made into a drama yet 😂
✓ HEA ✓ Drama. I can't emphasise that enough times.

This novel was hard to put down when I was reading it, but when I finished the last chapter... I didn't seem to like it aaaaaaas much. The characters had a lot of layers, however, unfortunately I felt that they were not well-explored. I'd also expected the male lead to be more cold and not fall for the female lead as soon as he saw her– since the name he was given was 'demon wang'. And h0w I had hoped to read some angst in the story; it baffled me how the author only chose to show the effects of the male lead's illness once and call it the end... it was kinda disappointing to me for some reason. Also, why did the author make it seem like the protagonist can do everything from being a fashion designer to being a military commander and doing surgery just because she transmigrated from the modern world? Like... what kind of profession was she into in her past life?? It seemed like a reach to me, haha. Again, I felt like there were a lot of aspects in the storyline that could be gone into depth with, but it seemed like they were only explored on the surface level. Honestly, it felt like a soap opera to me and it was really sketchy how every other ten chapters or so, some irrelevant character would appear and have a crush on the main leads... Still, I've given it three stars taking into account the time I spent reading it and the cute moments of the leads and some side characters too.

I loved it. It's a reincarnation time-travel genre having a badass super talented female lead and an equally suave and immortal like male lead and interesting, lovable side characters. Awesome faceslaps, many twists and turns that I didn't expect, and compared to the 'Rebirth of the Malicious Empress' book, it is less political.Towards the end it did drag a bit but picked up. Amazing read.
this novel was like a soap opera.. it was likable in the beginning but got worse as i kept going. if it didnt have such ridiculous amounts of drama then i prob would have dropped it as it’s basically just a shitty version of the rebirth of the malicious empress of military lineage. i really wanted to drop this around chapter 180 but bc i was so close to finishing i forced myself to keep going. the novel was really predictable there was only one plot development i didn’t see coming and thought was cool... bc the plot was typical/repetitive and mixed with all the misogyny, the rapes, the incest/fauxcest, the one dimensional characters it just made the whole thing not good..
i prob would have liked it more if it was shorter and if the fuxked up stuff was cut back some.
i’m kind of conflicted on it bc it really wasn’t the best novel and really wasn’t worth the time it took to read it.... but i did like some of the characters and i did actually finish this instead of dropping it..
depending if i focus more on either the good stuff or the bad stuff this was either a 1.5 or a 2... if they had cut back on the nasty stuff and cut off like ten chapters i would have given it a 3 probably.
First half of the story was good. The second half was so rushed. From the war to the trials it was a blurr and not very interesting. The first half was clever and full of charming revenge. I liked it overall, but the last chapter was a complete drag. It was interesting showing the loss on the enemies of the main couple.
One lose end I am not thrilled with is her first lady friend from the General family, she went from friends to hater because the mother she never knew was her mother...and her brother after losing the war commits suicide. It just felt terrible reading such random horrible fates for some of the side characters.

Don't get me wrong; I like this book. It was fun to read about OP characters. But y'all! This book should be rename "INCEST! INCEST! INCEST!"
After you done with one incest plot line, then hit you with another one. I know Asians story have a thing for like fake siblings relationship, but this is too much. I also deduct a star due to how sexual assault and rape was portrayed. You don't have to fetishize it to talk bout it! (Also half a star was deducted for a negative portrayal of a queer character. The character's queerness was utilized as "OMG LOOK AT HOW PERVERTED HE IS!! HE IS BAD!!" I'm not down for that).
1. Standard OP!FL transmigration fantasy + histrom.
2. So there are a few elements that I find interesting. And let's be clear, a lot of this is subjective- there are a bunch of cliche tropes in CNovels (and let's be fair, other media) that I actively look forward to or forgive more.
I like that the FL is neither a forgives-everyone pushover nor someone entirely devoid of compassion. I like that the ML is not immediately all-knowing and all-powerful; there actually seems to be a pretty even balance of power so far- it may even be tilted in favor of the FL. Some of the side characters (I'm looking at you, hostage crown prince and bratty fifth prince) are pretty fun. I also like that the FL is very shameless- what face? What pride? If she can gain an advantage by acting girly and pathetic, she will do that, even if it's clear she has a lot of other options.
3. Unfortunately, the few good things are overshadowed by the bleh stuff. (Insert subjectivity disclaimer here again.)
4. There are male characters with reasonably complex motivations and some degree of competence all over the story. Honestly, I'd have liked a story where the hostage crown prince is the ML (Has someone written a story like that? If so let me know in the comments.) but most of the female characters who show up have exactly one motivation- to become the wife of the the ML.
(Which is great in theory! I like an ML who's so pretty he attracts predators from all over the place! It's one of the common tropes I really look forward to in CNovels. None of this "maniliness" bullshit here, yo. Pretty is pretty, and I for one approve.)
But alas. The execution of this trope is the WORST. The cannon fodder potential love rivals are just. The dumbest. They have no brain. If they were male I would say they were being led around by the dick. (I guess that means they are led around by the vagina? I feel like the connotations are different somehow.) They lose all sense of rationality upon seeing the calamitous beauty, and blame every one of his rebuffs of them on the FL. Honestly, every one of these characters do some impressive mental acrobatics to go and shove all the blame at the FL's feet. And sure, low-level villains like this are pretty common and can whet my appetite a bit, but after a point they become very, very tiresome. They are so obviously outclassed that it's a waste of space.
And let's not get into the many, many instances where both women and men routinely lay down a bunch of negative female coded stereotypes (all women are malicious, weak, and lost their mind over pretty things) as irrefutable facts.
5. The FL, who is otherwise incedibly smart/wise/competent etc, immediately turns into a blushing mess once the romance bits start. This is also a CNovel staple, and one I don't like. It is mitigated a bit by how the ML is also a blushing mess sometimes. But author, you were clearly writing a femdom story here (not that I thin you realized it)- the sudden switch to traditional dynamics was pretty abrupt and not fun.
6. The primary antagonist (probably only for the first arc but he's here now and I'm not gonna read more of this) is gay/bi, and a lot of scenes are devoted to showing how depraved and kinky he is. And honestly, author, that's just lazy. I too am a person from a country where queer rights are in a dubious position, and while that can excuse ignorance, I don't think it works for active malice.
7. A lot of the time, a strong romance can counter most of these points (not #6; which is a whole other thing). But the romance here is pretty meh. I think it could have been a fun romance with a bit more buildup and tweaking. But as it is, the devotion shown by both characters towards each other is very abrupt, and it's so intense that it just gets more surreal as time goes by.
8. Anyway, I'm dropping this because I know I will regret any more time spent on the story. And I'm noting it here so I won't bother to pick it up again.
My god, I felt my IQ dropping reading this novel. It's so... frustrating?? That the antagonists were all so head numbingly dumb and delulu.
They all just lost their IQ upon seeing the devastatingly / devilish beauty / handsomeness FL / ML and just felt so much hatred for their love rival and unwillingness that the one they like didn't reciprocate their feelings.
I just kept reading about antagonists stubbornly butting their heads against the wall by opposing the FL/ ML. Around the middle of the book, it just got really frustrating / boring to read.
Also, there are slight plot holes? Like at one point in time FL was said to have eyes like her mother. Then it was said she had eyes like her father. Like wtf?!?! The eyes is part of the plot isn't it??
I also cannot understand why FL needs to have so many identities. Sure, I understand that author want to write that FL is just so beautiful and OP but seriously, so many identities... also agree with one comment (either here or on novelupdates) that there were too many Chinese terms/ names that it got confusing. I myself speak some Chinese and understand hanyu pinyin but even I got confused with the amount of names introduced.
I'm not that fussy of a reader and have read plenty of supposedly trash books/ novels but this book is just not to my liking that much.
The only saving point this book had was the offsprings (yes multiple!!) The best part about this book is definitely the last few chapters.
If you want fluff and lots of face slapping, give it a try. But it's not butterflies fluttering in stomach fluffy.

INCEST‼️‼️‼️ Emperor Lie falling inlove with his sister, Prince Hong touched his sister (even though his not her biological sister and they both know it, but Prince's thoughts of touching her own sister gave him a feverish lust) and lastly the ML and FL. Yes, they're not biological siblings, but in modern days, they're still siblings because ML was adopted and they still want to continue their husband/wife relationship even though the whole world thoughts they are biological siblings.
I lost it when the female lead said "I'm not against love between siblings, but siblings are close relatives. The child born from them wouldn't be healthy and is prone to deformity." It was like the author is sending a message that sibling's love is okay as long as there are no child.
The FL is transmigrated character, even in the olden days can't accept siblings' love so how come from woman who is from modern days accepts incest?!? She can't accept polygamy but can accept incest?!? She should hate both......
The author went on incest but didn't directly touched the subject. I think because the author knows people would hate it.
I think the author has some related issues regarding incest.......
So let me get this straight... The heroine was a transmigrated girl who in the span of five years became a famous healer, clothing designer, jewellery designer, head of an assassin sect and had probably the best martial arts in the novel. I'm sure I'm missing as identity or two... haha of course also a lost princess of some sort. And of course she was the most beautiful girl who anyone had ever seen who hid her face behind some sort of veil. Every man was also in love with her.
Throughout the whole novel she was strong and formidable, suddenly when she's pregnant she had a weak body?
I did enjoy the ML.
The story was enjoyable if I overlooked the general perfectness of the main character, although towards the end I did end up skimming more than I read.
Translation quality was five stars!

Self note: - Another reincarnation story where the badass, modern day h was put in a dead, bullied beauty. The h is OP in every way (a peerless beauty, super smart, cunning, scheming, a great martial artist, etc), but she uses subversion to fuck with people. She ruins her enemies by using her - God tier trolling abilities (lol).
Book is said to be very brutal. It have gang rape (to villains), incest (middle of the book, she thinks the H is her brother, he isnt), etc.
SPOILERS:
- Ming Yue Cheng, the OM, loves the h unconditionally and never marry, but he ends up being together with H & h's daughter at the end. 25+ age difference. Kinda gross!
I tried to read this several times before and always couldn’t pass chapter 5!! Let me tell you, the beginning was soo boring I almost couldn’t stand it, why? Because I waited and waited for the demon wang to appear, but what did i get? I need to pass at least 15 chapters. I’ve read so many similar chinese stories like this, usually they progress pretty quick (not in romance, but showing off they badass-ness). Also, the demon wang wasn’t cold enough and a bit corny?! LOL.. I actually feel kinda sad for NanFeng emperor though, he should get his love life sooner!!
I don't know how i survived this book. I mean that, firstly the main character was a bit like Mary Sue. I guess being a timetraveling person with knowledge and experience of modern times will make you incredible in others eyes, but it simply felt to much for me. Also there were a few plot holes considering poisons of the male lead. And to summarize it all, the whole book seemed way to long and I simply skimmed through the last 30 chapters.
I did enjoy most of this book. It was a rather light read. In fact I will go reread the part where the ML and FL first met and interacted soon.
There's one main blot on this book for me. Ming Yue Cheng's part of the epilogues didn't agree with me. At all. The whole "if can't have the mother then have the daughter" made me want to throw up. Blech.

Not the best, but it's better than most hetero romance c novel I've read so far. Took a long time to read because I'm only reading a chapter and half each day. Would've finished in one sitting but I had initially intended to read this book as a HE break from all the SE tragedies. Met my expectations, just didn't really blew my mind.
So it's another transmigration novel with an overpowered protagonist, thoroughly enjoyed it. Full of court drama, family secrets, and satisfying face slapping, although at times I find it so unnecessarily brutal or bloody.
