I prowl the knitting section of the Miramar public library. It is fantastic. I took this book out to enjoy the ideas. Later I needed to make some knitted poppies, but I couldn't find my favourite poppy pattern (it's in a lock-up in the UK :-( ), but this book had very easy-to-follow patterns. It's beautiful and fun. The book has a lot of different designs and a needle rating of 1 needle beginner 3 needles expert. The instructions are clear, there is an abbreviation and chart glossary and the usual boring bits about what you need and gauge, stitches and sewing up ARE IN THE BACK, so you can dive in and start knitting right away. It's great! I have a book like it, but I will put it in my books for Christmas. If you live in Wellington, NZ, its worth getting out of the library, but be quick because lots of people want it.
