My mum's words always echo in my mind...
"You can never trust a man with your heart. Men don't know what to do with a heart that's been given to them- so they break it."
But what happens to the woman who trusts with her heart after he breaks it?
I know, she fractures and shatters.

Knowing the definitions of the words that have defined me, this is my understanding.

Sarah Ann Walker is the type of author that I have to prepare myself for when she releases a new book. There are still pieces of my heart that are completely owned, in all their broken glory, by the past stories this author has told. So although (mis)Trust was an instant one-click, I had to give myself time to get into the mindset to really start her book so that I didn’t end up broken in the end. Even if I didn’t know if she’d break me with any certainty – I knew whatever she had up her sleeve ...more

Well, I made it to the ending. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. This story started out so strong too. I loved the drama at the first of this story. I was stoked to see what would happen next (view spoiler)

You need a book that makes you feel alive? (Mis)Trust is it! First book I've read in months that I didn't want to put down. A book about betrayal violation, heartbreak, love and a fight for redemption. Seriously, everything I could want from a book wrapped up in one. An emotional connection to characters more so than any Sarah has previously written. That's telling considering Suzanne and Z from I Am Her series consumed me for days. There were times I wanted to strangle Saige, the main character ...more

It's a matter of just 60 days and world up ends on itself for Saige McTavern. She is a young graduate, comfortably in love with Tyler. One unfortunate day, she arrives home early and Kaitlyn is riding Her Tyler.
4 years of love and devotion.
2 minutes of sex and ruination.
55 hours of sadness.
Eternal heartbreak... Priceless.!!

Now , this is a girl who has lost her brother and her father , so clearly she has abandonment issues !
so in a classic survivalist tendency symptom, she closes her heart.

This is a truly amazing and beautiful story that had me feeling all different kind of emotions through the characters. I literally had goosebumps reading parts of it.

My heart truly broke reading Saiges heartbreaking journey.

The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. I seriously didn't see them coming.

I'm not going to repeat the synopsis or drop any spoilers as I want you to jump in and feel this story. Be warned there are triggers in this book. However if your like me and triggers don't

What can I say? I wrote this book, and I love it. I crave a Malcolm in my life, and I KNOW the pain Saige goes through. To quote Saige, "This so sucks right now," but this book also heals you from the inside out.
I hope you enjoy it!

Oh, wow! This one will rip your heart out and stomp on it. It’s full of sadness and heartbreak. But, the end result will make you smile. I don’t know what it is about tragic books that seem to attract me lately. But, I seem to gravitate to them, and this one was so amazing! You will shed tons of tears, and you will be affected by this book long after you turn the last page. It’s one book that I will definitely be recommending to my Goodreads friends.

Phenomenal! I really wished that I could have given this book more than 5 stars!!
Every now and then, I read a book that leaves so many lingering emotions after I finish, that I can't stop thinking about it. This book was it!
Brilliantly written, it's twisted, raw, intense and highly emotional. Despite the sensitive subjects, this is a story of love, forgiveness and redemption.
This book was a total mindfuck, in so many beautiful ways!
The author created an amazing, intricate story that had a lit

(mis)Trust by Sarah Ann Walker is like a punch in the stomach that just does not go away, but in this case, you don't want it to! This unique book deals with a lot of sensitive issues, some that might make readers uncomfortable, but Sarah handles and deals with them, as always, with such gentleness and tenderness, that they are so much easier to read through. This is Saige's story, and the reader immediately falls in love with this beautiful, sensitive, vulnerable young woman. She has opened he

I have no idea if I'm going to be able to do (mis)TRUST justice in this review.

I was 11% in when I was hit right my heart with Saige's feelings. I felt what Saige felt, fuck! I hate this. I feel ripped open, my heart exploded and I couldn't breathe!
At 19% in, I knew I wasn't sleeping until I devoured every last word! Sarah Ann Walker sucks you in and doesn't let go.

How do I even put into words the way I felt about this story ? From beginning to end I was so wrapped up in every word of this story . When you have the love of your life take your trust and throws it all away how do you go on ? Or how do you trust when you're attacked in the worst way possible. In such a short matter of time Saige will have to learn how to trust all over again and one man Malcolm will slowly steal not only her heart but yours as well.

Sarah has recently become one of my auto one click authors. This book right here is just another example of why! She writes a twisted story like no other. Pulls you in from the get go and causes you to not get a thing done till you are finished with the book.

What the absolute hell have you done to me Sarah Ann Walker?! You earned a one way ticket on the list of authors trying to KILL ME! I wish I could truly express the experience I was just taken on, but I don't have the proper words to truly describe it, especially without spoilers creeping in. So, I'm going to write a different review from my usual, as I just want everyone to experience Saige's powerful journey themselves with no help from the peanut gallery (me)! I have to warn everyone that my ...more

Like Alice down the rabbit hole (trigger warning)

To say this book was an emotional rollercoaster would be a massive understatement. It was like being an extra in a Tim Burton movie! Like Alice going through the "eat me", "drink me", too big, too small craziness. One minute your heart feels too small to contain all the 'lovey' feels, then suddenly it's too big to break apart and leave you alive.

There is simply no way I can write an adequate review to detail how truly complex and extraordinary thi

Holy Jesus.....

This book. This book right here is phenomenal.
There's no other way to write this.
A friend recommended that I read it,because she loved it. Now I can't wait to hug her,she introduced me to this author knowing I would absolutely devour this book. I didn't sleep at night reading, feeling all the heart aches.
At work I thought of Saige, as if I was her best friend Selena. I loathed Tyler and I feel in love with Malcolm. Mike too. They were my hero's in this story.

I am not a big fan of Romantic Suspense, But i kept hearing about this book and I needed to read it for myself. Wow... I am still not a fan of Romantic Suspense but it would take a lot more then this awesome book to change my mind.
I like Malcolm he is strong, loving everything you would want in a man, and he looks like Gerard Butler (HOT), He is so supportive and caring and takes such great care of Saige. Now, Saige on the other hand drove me nuts. Yes she has had a lot I mean a lot has happene

### 4.5 Hashtags ###

(mis)Trust is a story chalked full of so many emotions it was damn impossible for me to keep up with how I was feeling from one chapter to the next.

Saige is a wonderful character but she gets put in some truly awful and heartbreaking situations in her young life you can't help but FEEL every thing she's feeling and all she's dealing with.
Malcom is just the most patient kind caring sexy and protective friend maybe bf that I've ever read bef

A highly emotive addictive raw read that captivated me from the first page!

I initially signed up to review this book back in May and with a reviewing schedule bigger than me the blurb initially piqued my interest but by the time I started reading it I had forgot what the story was about and for me I’m so glad I had as I think the emotional connection I felt with Saige

Author Sarah Ann Walker crafts a beautiful story full of romance and humor with a little action thrown in on the side. Main character Saige is full of fire and determination and love interest Malcolm is the counter balance of patience and calm…unless Saige is put in danger, then watch out. Her other cast of characters round out the world of (Mis)Trust and make the world feel real and lived in. This book gets 5 stars because I couldn't put it down. Every chance I got I was reading it. B

Malcolm... (sigh). And Saige, what a horrific life. No wonder she's a mess. I think this is a love story that proves patience and love can work itself out, with anyone.
I was so scared at the end but thankfully I got the ending I so desperately wanted for these two.
Excellent book. 5 stars and then some.

I was absolutely thrilled when I found out that Sarah Ann Walker was ready to release another book. I have read all of her previous works and I was excited to see how (Mis)Trust would compare to her other books and the way that they made me feel. I already knew to read this book with caution and apprehension, based on what I knew from reading her other books. With that being said, I was still completely shocked and speechless (except when I was swearing!) by several events in this book. Walker h ...more

Saige has her life on track and everything going for her. She is happily in love with her boyfriend Tyler and sees herself spending the rest of her life with him. However, life has a way of kicking a person right in the teeth when they are least expecting it. She catches the love of her life in the midst of cheating on her when she arrives home unexpectedly. Saige's life begins to deteriorate from there. I don't want to give too much away because Ms. Walker is the queen of convoluted story lines ...more

I'll be a bit vague in my review only because I hate spoilers and don't want to ruin anything. I absolutely loved Saige's reaction, response, and how she handled herself upon discovery of boyfriend in the beginning of the story. I felt bad for her but she handled herself well. Then…things just get worse for her. Throughout the book there is this sense of suspense because you just "feel like" something bad may happen. I enjoyed that. I thought I 'knew' who but then was way wrong. I loved that. I ...more

I really looked forward to reading this and it was "reasonable" until about 3/4 of the way through when I just had enough of Saige, yes her mum bent her ears, yes her brother died, yes her father left and well (not) finally she caught her boyfriend of 4 years in the sack and on the job in her bed. It was kind of telling that it was "her flat" and "her bed" and "her laptop" etc etc, yes she worked her butt off to get ahead and yes I agree he was a selfis

I have only written this as 4 star because I want to read it again. I think it's probably a 3 star but I didn't read it properly. Therefore I want to read it again in full and review properly then.

what I do know: good writing. great emotive writing. Good angst. Good characters at the start. Way OTT the last 15% BUT this may be because I skimmed the middle part and missed huge chunks. Therefore I would like to read again IN FULL to judge properly.
