Very straightforward presentation of material. Textbook format. Interesting subject delves into multiple insects and how they are used in human foods and other products. Well written and ample colorful photos. Resources, especially for teachers.

As a judge for the CYBILS award, I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest evaluation.

Specific instructional materials with both familiar and lesser-known insects and their capacity to produce ingredients for everyday objects in a modern world. Back matter, text structures, glossary and layout/font allow for simple and direct use by young readers as well as for guided instruction.
