The photographs in this book were stunning and no doubt gave Indian photographers a breakthrough into the photography community. There were so many iconic pictures taken that really show India for what it was and what it is now. So for giving the world a snapshot of iconic India, I thank the editors for compiling this book together.

Coffee table book I found at the office library. Contains pictures of India by reknowned photographers spanning the time from 1857 till the early 2000s. Images which have become so commonplace e.g. the face of the buried child from Bhopal Gas tragedy, and have etched a space for them in our minds. Each image is backed with a compelling story by the photographer.
