We have most of Joy Berry's books and love them. These books are timeless and are great at teaching EQ skills to children. They are written in a matter of fact way that talks about how actions affect other people and their natural consequences.

"At the core of all rude behaviors is the perpetrator's belief that he or she is better than others. This misguided superiority complex often leads to feelings of entitlement [...] No one likes to be around a rude person."

Published in 1988, this little book feels its age. While encouraging kindness and generosity in children is important, there are better ways to do it than learning from some of the characterizations found in this book.

I read this book this month to my students. It is a great book that explains this and gives them situations for them to talk about how to respond in this situation or how to apologize if they are the one in the wrong in this situation. This entire series is so so good! I highly recommend for lower elementary teachers or parents of lower elementary age children.

This is a great read when discussing how to treat others. This book talks about what is considered rude (putting your wants before others, always having to be right, always having to be first, and always having the best for yourself). The concept of it you do not want people to be rude to you, you have to treat them the way you want to be treated

Such a great book for kids and adults to read together!! Joy Berry has a wonderful way of bringing things to a kids level to help them understand things better. Sometimes as an adult we forget kids see and process the world differently than us.

This series is wonderful for any home or classroom! I want them for he community center where I work!!

This is a great book to share with younger students. Some young children in kindergarten are very possessive and are rude at different times. This book shares ways about being rude and ways to correct rude behavior
