Based on a traditional Inuit story, Fox's Best Trick Ever is the delightfully humorous story of a fox, who plays tricks on the other animals, until he is banished to a remote island. Not to be outdone, the clever fox plays his best trick ever to escape the island on the backs of the sea animals. In the end, the repentant fox finally apologizes to the other animals for all the tricks he played on them.
This is a fun story that features two passages on each page spread--the adults reads the left page, the child reads the right. It's a wonderful way to build a love of books and growth in literacy at once. This Native American tale of the Inuit people has been passed down through generations through the tradition of oral storytelling, and now it's placed in book form for all to enjoy.
I really liked reading this book. It's a "we both read" book. That means on one page there are a lot of words for the adult to read and on the other page are just a just a few easy words for the kids to read. Cute book!
I love this series of books. They are set up so that the parent reads one page and then the child reads a page. It makes for a much more engaging story for both. My first grader loves them, too!
