When Camille, Menolly, and Delilah D'Artigo are reassigned Earthside, they have no clue of what to expect. Getting situated in a new world, figuring out where they're going to live, what they're going to do, is an adventure in itself. Return the beginning, as the D'Artigo Sisters walk through the portals to their new home for the very first time.

A prequel to the Otherworld series that tells of the sisters reason for being basically exiled to Earth and the start of their acclimation to life here. They are greeted by Chase and Iris is there to give them some basics and help Camille with the bookstore. It was lovely seeing Henry again and see Camille's reaction to her first espresso drink. Very nice seeing them back when they were still a bit innocent and naive of what was coming for them.
A funny and fascinating prologue to the Otherworld series
This novella was written as a prologue to Wytchling, the first Otherworld novel. It explains how the sisters ended up on Earth and relates the adventures of their first few weeks. As with all of Yasmine's work it is well written and tells a great story. We have the opportunity to watch as the D'Artigo sisters begin to settle in the land of their mother's birth. Their early adventures nd adjustments are often amusing and occasionally laugh out loud funny. I highly recommend it!
Loved this soooooo much. It answered a lot of the questions i had about what happened when the sisters crossed over. I loved how they had to acclimate to the way things worked earthside. And it was good to see Henry again.
This one is a throw-back special, shows how the sisters being told of their punishment and sent to to earth. It was fun to see them acclimate to Earth and things here. It makes you realize just how far they have come.
I started reading Witchling the other week, but since I was reading it off the back of Etched in Silver, I felt like I was kind of missing a huge chunk of the storyline. And then I found out that Earthbound actually explains how Camille and her sisters end up on Earth. Half an hour reading later, and everything I felt was missing makes so much more sense!!!
There isn’t a heap of fast-paced action in Earthbound, but it has just enough to carry the storyline forward. Yet, what I mostly love about this tale is the fact that it manages to feed background information through constantly. As the sisters attempt to fit in and find their feet in a new world, their lives and suffering are slowly unwound. Now it makes me want to pick up Witchling again, with a far greater understanding of what the back story actually entails.
Was rather shorter than I was expecting, but still adds great backstory to the D'Artigo sisters! Not surprised this finally got it's own novella. So happy to see how the girls meet Iris.
I have been enjoying this series for many years. It has strong, powerful woman in it and a great storyline. I especially liked this one since it went back to the very beginning and told the story of how the sisters came Earthside.
Galenorn has done it again! This story was fantastic. I love reading about what happened when the sisters first came Earthside. I would love to read more stories between now and Witchling.
I am so thrilled that this came out. Yasmine hints at the events that brought the sisters earth side through most of her books b but I am happy to finally see the events that brought our saviors into our realm.
