Mourning the end of a series .

Ladies and Gents: Jaaaz is BACK! And no one kicks ass as well as she does.

After the last book in the MTG Agency series I couldn`t wait to get my hands on the newest instalment … and it doesn`t disappoint.

The book picks right up where the last left off and takes you on a wild ride from start to finish.

Plot: Ryan goes undercover, gets into trouble, disappears, Jaz and friends ride to the rescue
(Of course that’s not all that happens, but I don`t want to spoil it for you guys!)

Now you might notice that the plot is a lot more about Ryan than in the previous books, that`s because we actually get to read big parts in his POV. *sigh*

I loved getting to know him a little better: what he`s up to, how he feels AND especially what he thinks about Jaz ;)

As usual Jaz`s friends play an important part in the storyline (The Ring Crew, Anna, Tay & Cody).

Warning: this is Book 4, so please read books 1-3 first `cause you need the info given previously.

On that note: read it, enjoy it and hopefully there is going to be another book in this great series soon

I can't really explain my fascination with this series. I eagerly pounced on this 4th installment about Jaz, Ryan and the gang at MTG and devoured it in a single day, as I have done with all the others in the series. Yet as I am reading them (yes all of them in the series) I have a littany of things that annoy me about them. In fact there always seem to be more things that bug me than otherwise, yet still I cannot seem to stop myself from reading them obsessively. I don't know why!

So now onto the things that bugged me this time around:
- for most of the book Jaz and Ryan don't spend anytime together as they are on their respective assignments and Ryan is in deep cover.
- the whole having sex with other people as part of their cover even though they are in love.
- that Jaz spends very little individual time hanging out with her BFF's Tay & Anna
- Pax. I am pretty sure that was just to make Jaz's life more convenient with a home & job that fits her new MTG role
- the wasted opportunity of not continuing from the very interesting ending of book 3 in terms of Jaz & Salvatore until that tiny bit near the end.

Yes I will be reading the next one. Don't judge me :)

I'm afraid this series is getting increasingly "meh" for me. I think it's because I'm so frustrated with the under-editing. The sentence fragments I can understand; it's a technique that sometimes works in thrillers, though it still sometimes jerked me out of this story. But this book is also full of comma splices, which there's no excuse for, and clunky bits and pieces that make it feel like a beta read.

Jaz and Ryan have been pursuing and fighting their feelings for one another for three books, but so far it has been only Jaz’s point of view that we have seen. Finally in the fourth book we get an insight into Ryan. And I love it.
Because Ryan has infiltrated the Shesha Serpants (bad guys) he has to shut down anything not work related, but things with Jaz have changed and he is finding it difficult to keep thoughts of her at bay.
Meanwhile, Jaz misses him but she is having trouble with her own family and some secrets they have hidden.
Still maintaining the unique writing style and optimism verse reality balance this fourth book answers a lot of questions.
I would like a fifth book, or a novella, purely for my curiosity to see what would happen in a family reunion.

Initially the synopsis grabbed me. I didn't realise this was book four of a series. That said, I liked the characters, the action and obvious chemistry swirling through the story. The action-packed opening scene left little doubt in this readers mind as to what would surely be some outstanding moments within the series. While this book could be read as a stand-alone read, I felt there was a lot of tie-in storyline to the previous books in the series, character history and events. Given that I came into this series in book four, I could see the missed information. Even so, the story was still a good read and the cues in the story are picked up fairly quickly. If some of the intense chapters were any indication of the series (the opening chapter - wow), it's a series that's not to be missed.

OMG, another incredible story from Fiona Palmer. Everything she writes is fantastic. This is the fourth in the MTG Agency series. I hope it's not the last, but as all the loose ends are tied up at the end, it could be. However, there is also plenty of scope for more in this wonderful action series, so keeping my fingers crossed. It's aimed at young adults, but anyone who likes an action packed story with spies and mystery will enjoy this.

Love this series. Great story, characters to love and this book is full of emotion and tension. I'd hate to think this was the end, but if it was it was brilliant. I want more Ryan and Jaz, they're so hot!

Absolutely enjoyed book 4, I seriously hope there are more books in this series to come. This was non stop from the start
