So I picked this one up as it's completely different from anything I've read before.

I am so glad that I did. It was so well done.

You may expect it to come across as crass or cheap. Maybe even dirty. But it doesn't. The writing was flawless; the setting, the story and the main character - it was refreshing, different and an excellent portrayal of an independent, sexual woman who isn't ashamed of how she feels or what she wants.

I loved it.

I so thoroughly enjoyed this story! Helen is a aromantic, bi-sexual twenty-something that decides to try out for the hit XXX-rated reality TV show, “I Like It Hard", after her brother Dan gets to the final two and loses. We get to see Helen go through the audition process, and are privy to her inner thoughts of the advice and recommendations given to her by her brother, and how she applies them.

There really wasn’t a lot of sex scenes, at least how I think of sex scenes with all the erotica I’ve

Ultimately I would rate this about 2.5 stars using Goodreads' meter of 'it was ok' and 'liked it'. I requested this book because I found the premise to be intriguing. Entering a XXX reality tv show in order to win it after her brother lost in the final was an interesting idea, but I didn't think there was much conflict to carry this story through. Perhaps my expectations were somewhat misguided based on the fact that this was

Honestly, I don't read a lot of FF stories. Girl-on-girl was never my thing, but as soon as I read the blurb of this book, I just had to read it. Curiosity has always been a weakness of mine and the totally original concept of the story had me itc

I was given a copy for an honest review for Inked Rainbow Reads.

I have to say that there were some really good parts to this story and some that left me wanting. The fact that the main character is aromatic is fun and different from so many books. However, I felt like the show aspects were rushed and not fully developed.

We get brief glimpses into relationships that are developing with the main character, but never get enough to really connect. The show is rushed and all the different

This was an interesting concept, not only the show format, but the personality of our protagonist, Helen. It's made very clear how different she is, not only because she's bisexual, but also because she's aromantic. Both are things that are very difficult for "normal" people to understand, and because most people don't, or won't, even try, Helen becomes very lonely. I think she enters the "I Like It H

This novella is about an aromantic bisexual woman. YAY by the way. But why list it under romance? She's aro... and apart from that there isn't any romance in this book. Very confusing indeed.

Anyway, I expected something more... explicit. Instead it only hints at most sexual scenes, which would be okay. Only conflicts and things happening are only mostly hinted at, too. It would have worked better as a novel for sure.

I still liked Helen very much and I would have loved to read

Interesting premise but no plot. All the potentially interesting moments and scenes were glossed over and summarized. Predictable, but even that can be fine if you're able to invest in the characters. Not the case here.

I WILL say that it was nicely progressive in terms of the spectrum of queerness and queer issues.
