I received this book from the Goodreads Giveaway program in the Kindle format. Although a review is not required, it is, understandably, encouraged. Thank you to Amazon and the author, Terrell Fletcher.

This book was a blessing to me. I think many people go through life "punching the clock" and just trying to "make things work." This book encourages the reader to examine different aspects of our life to determine a plan that puts us in agreement with God's intent for us.

One of my favorite quotes in the book is, "Faith, family, and meaningful relationships have eternal value." We are called as Christians to love one another and our actions should reflect that love in all that we do.

A timely read as I consider the next chapter in my professional life. For 25+ years I have strived for personal success and have enjoyed many successes and failures but, until this point, have not paid attention to what truly made each day of work enjoyable--the days where I used the virtues placed in me by God.

The Book of You has helped me to realize that my next move should revolve around those virtues first, the actual work second. If you are looking for a well-written outline you can follow to help you find your own focus--and congruence with God's plans--then this will definitely help you. It's not a map itself, but a guide to help you read your own map.

I will say, if you are not a fan of football then be prepared that as a former NFL player, Fletcher does use many highs and lows from his playing career.

Making a life

This book provided new ideas about how it is possible to create a life that honors God and allows us to use our innate abilities to make a wonderful and fulfilling life. The book also talks about learning the lessons from our past, but not letting either success or failure prevent us from going forward into the future.

Mistake

I am sorry but I accidentally chose this book to read. I meant to read another one. I have got much more than a hundred, maybe 2 hundred, but thus was a mistake.

Terrell Fletcher (former San Diego Chargers FL running back)

The creator’s intent, self-worth, signs, transformation vs. change, find congruence (a social work ethic), inventory your life (lead with your pivot), virtues (calling), assess your future (take off your favorite shirt, try a different approach), creator’s clues (life’s path), accountability (written, measurable/realistic goals, + support team), importance, discipline, health/wellness/diet/exercise, onto the next play, reciprocity (social work ethic), God’s cause/effect,

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written religious oriented self-help book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great religious oriented self-help movie, a PP presentation or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Thank you for the free Goodreads; MakingConnections; Waterfall Press; Amazon Digital Services LLC; book

I've read many books similar to this one, the language may be different but the message is usually the same. However, Terrell did highlight key factors that I was forced to look at within.

Chapter 7: Create Accountability

"Who keeps you accountable to your dreams? Who pushes you forward? Who challenges your intensity? Who can humble you if you get off course? This accountability is essential to protect the mission and the missionary."

I received this book in Goodreads First Reads in exchange for an honest review...

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and found it very amusing as well as enlightening. Terell Fletcher had a lot of motivational and encouraging advice and tips this in books, and hits a lot of great highlights that can be beneficial for many people. It was decently well-written, well-put-together, and overall a great book that I recommend.

Goodreads Giveaway Book – I think that so many of us are still looking to figure out God's plan for our lives. How wonderful then to have someone offer a guide for us to help us with the process and to show that it is never too late to be transformed into the people God wants us to be. What an inspirational book!
