From the moment of her birth as a case of suspected appendicitis, Hattie Hayridge's life (culminating in her role in "Red Dwarf") seems to have been bombarded by a shower of the surreal. Only in her oddball universe could she be chased by an elephant and mugged by monkeys (twice).
( Format : Audiobook ) "Holly from Red Dwarf." A shortened version of Hattie Heyridge's autobiography told with clarity and humour. In two parts, the first is her childhood growing up, the second more about her growing up Into her career in comedy. A brief excerpt of a stand-up performance is included. I so wanted more. Too short but otherwise fun. What, I wonder, is she doing now? More, please.
Random, Abstract Memory is a good title: the content provides what it says on the box. Recommended to those who like to laugh and is available to download for free through the Audible Plus programme
Brief, but funny and informative exploration of Hattie's early life, transition into comedy and involvement with Red Dwarf. Would have loved to have heard more. There must be more stories from her career in comedy or from behind the scenes on Red Dwarf. Maybe that's the sign of something good. It left me wanting more. Listen to the Audio Book!
Quite an amusing read if a bit short and lacking real focus and depth due to jumping all over the place. Nevertheless this is far superior to Robert Llewellyn's offering.
An interesting look into her life with some funny points. Was unable to keep focused at times from the bouncing around but all the same still interesting to listen to and see how she got the part of Holly (Red Dwarf).
