Finding London (Flawed Hearts Series #1) by Ellie Wade
4.5 stars!!!

“Fate is a fucking lie, and destiny is its bitch-ass cousin.”

Ellie Wade is one of those increasingly unique authors who deliver the story that her character’s demand rather than what the reader wants and for this I have always applauded her. I know that when I dive into an Ellie Wade book, it will be emotional, it will be angsty, it will be intense, it may not be what I want but I will love it anyway because she always

4.5 stars!!!

ARC kindly provided by Barclay Publicity via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

This is the story of Loïc and London, two hearts full of flaws!

I totally loved this book! The writing was superb being equally funny and serious in the right places! The plot was moving in such a nice pace without leaving any gaps or rushing forward! The story touched me so much as it dealt with every emotion that someone has when he falls in love (doubt, excitement, attraction, insecurity), wi

I was hooked from page one and didn't want to put this book down. I was rooting for Loic and London to figure it out and get their happily ever after. I love how opposite they are but how they're perfect together. The whole other cast of characters is great as well (Cooper, Maggie, and Paige). I'm really excited for the next book to see how Loic and London handle everything. If you haven't picked up this book yet I strongly urge you to do so. It was fantastic and YES it's a series but it's not a ...more

This book cover is absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately, I didn’t fell the same about the story. Lately, I have been reading a lot of NA romance books, which has defiantly made me raise the bar when it comes to rating these types of books and this one fell short. I constantly found myself becoming bored and not connecting with the characters or romance. I actually ended up skimming the last half of the book, but didn’t feel l

This is my first book by Ellie Wade, but it most certainly will not be my last. I absolutely adored London and Loïc’s story, and cannot wait for more!

“I don’t do relationships. I never have, and I’m not sure I ever will. It’s just not me.”

This is Loïc’s life. He has been dealt a rough hand throughout childhood and, after so many heartbreaks, he refuses to have any more. So, he doesn’t let anybody in—besides his two good friends Cooper and Maggie, who I LOVED! I really liked how the story went ba

*4.5 stars* In case you haven't heard I've been in the biggest reading slump ever. I was sent this book by the publisher, but pushed it aside because I didn't feel like reading. I couldn't be more happy I picked his up on a whim. I binge read the whole book. I stayed up until 1 am to finish it. Overall it was amazing, but there were a few things that initially rubbed me the wrong way. The one main thing that stuck out was London's incessant pursuit of Loic, although cheesy and romantic, if the r ...more

One look at this cover and I was in love. I mean, look at how gorgeous it is! Sadly, this book doesn't actually take place in London, but I quickly learned that it was a new adult romance with quite the yummy, and hard-headed, romantic interest for our main character. I was hooked!

London Wright has gotten everything she's ever wanted, especially when it comes to guys. So when she meets Loic Berkley and is instantly attracted to him, she's thrown off when he walks away without any interest. No on

A dual perspective NA Contemporary Romance - this book was sent to be through BookTubeTours! It did not affect my opinions.

Loic is strong, stubborn, and driven.

London is a free spirit, boy crazy, and a undeniable beautiful girl.

Their paths cross time and time again. Loic doesn't want to entertain London's advances, but he can't avoid her the more they run into each other.

Loic's chapters were told in past and present day. I adored that. It showed his growth and how he overcame his adversity.

Perfectly fucked up together until we’re just together.

I still remember how swept away I was when I first saw this book’s perfect cover. I had even seen it in my sleep a time or two. It had my mind literally stuck with it. Since then, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. And finally, a week ago, I finally got the chance to meet the habitats of this amazing book with the great cover whi

I've been a massive Ellie Wade supporter since I started reading her series, Choices. Needless to say, I was beyond excited to get my hands on Finding London. And then I saw the cover ... le sigh ... it was absolutely gorgeous!! I had high expectations for this one!

First ... the main man of the story ... his name is Loïc. Nothing wrong with the name, I just had no freaking clue as to how to say it! This poor dude was almost called Lo in my head but then Ellie Wade came to the rescue and said wit

Such a beautiful cover, sigh... I wish I liked this book as much as I like the cover.

Let me just start by saying I have no complaints about Ellie Wade's writing. She does it beautifully. But I just couldn't connect with the story or the main characters. So it could be a case of it's me, not you.

London is your typical rich, over entitled, spoiled brat. I usually can appreciate such traits in a character if there's something else about them to make me care. It was not the case with her. Her inner

London Wright has recently graduated from college in Michigan and is trying to figure out what she wants for her future. She is from a wealthy family and is used to getting what she wants. She meets Loic Berkeley and is definitely thrown off her game when he seems not to be impressed by her. Loic is in the military and has a lot of tragedy in his past to get over that leaves him unable to open up to trust people.

I loved the characters in this book and also the humor. Paige, Cooper and Maggie wer

I really became emotional about this story. I don't know, maybe it was the whole military aspect. There was something about the characters that I really identified with, something intangible, because my life is not like theirs. I really enjoyed it. I hope you do, too. ...more

When reading books of a series back to back I always have a difficult time writing the reviews separate because in my head it is an ongoing story and it is difficult for me to cut it somewhere when I read it together.

So therefore here are my thoughts on “Finding London” and “Keeping London” by Ellie Wade.

Who came up with that name ? Loïc? That was one of my thoughts … it took me a long time until I found out how to pronounce that – but on the other hand … intriguing and it keeps you thinking.

Sometimes it is nice to read a book from a new author and see that they can communicate what a real relationship might look like. One with angst that is not off the charts and a love story that starts from one glace and a little healthy "obsession," a crush that you cannot shake. Finding London features two very different characters who should not work, but the beauty in this story is their differences and the way they both mess up and fall down only to get back up again when they realize what i ...more

You know how some books captivate you and make you want to read them, due to the cover - that to me was Finding London as I adored the abstract feel of the book cover with the different colours. I also have a thing for London like the main character and have wanted to visit there - it is on my bucket list of things to do. The main character Loic Berkely has lived a rough life as we read about how much his parents loved him and then this was cut short when they were killed. From there Loic was b ...more

I really enjoyed reading Finding London. I also really loved the cover. It’s nice to see a different type of cover for a romance novel. This book, in my opinion, started off super slow. It was slow for be until about 20-30% and I wasn’t even sure if I was going to be able to finish. I’m a reader that hardly ever gives up but this one was pushing it for me. With that being said I’m so glad that I stuck with this one because once I got through that hump I was loving it.

I liked this one more than I thought I would. Loic was a wonderful hero, the perfect mix of broken alpha males that I adore. I loved how he gave into his craving for London, even as he continued to fight what was growing between them.

London was spoiled and bratty, but she saw through Loic's fight to the man that he is behind the wall. In my opinion, that worked in her favor (otherwise, she would have annoyed me as she sat at home freeloading off her parents). She has some growing up to do, but s

Yeah it started slow, but it was so worth the wait. After I got into it I could not put it down!! I'm in trouble around the homestead because I was burnin the midnight oil lol.
Man! I've got a lot to say about this book! So fair warning ⚠ spoilers ahead

so we have our main characters Löic and London, Loïc is an army special force or something with a broken/scarred past, London is the opposite of him, she's fun, quirky, sweet & determined. These two didn't really have a sort of meet cute cased mostly because of Loïc trust issues and baggage in life he does not want to have a relationship with her, he's the silent man whore type of guy, as the story progresses our main
Wow! That was an out-of-the-park hit! Great characters! And, a passionate romance! A few sad moments. But, such a high at the end of Book 1 of London and Loïc’s love story. So looking forward to reading Book 2...

London comes from a slightly privileged background, never having to worry about money and having a family that loves and supports her. Loïc on the other hand was passed from one abusive foster home to another after his parents passed away. He never knew what it was like to have a stable home, so when the abuse finally becomes too much, he runs away with his foster sister Sarah, where they live on the streets, doing what they have to in order to survive. When Sarah overdoses and is taken away to ...more

Finding London is an opposites attract romance that is filled with heartfelt moments and emotion. It grabbed my interest from the beginning and kept me entertained until the final page.

London is a young woman from a rich and privileged background who is used to getting what she wants. When she meets Loic, a handsome military man, her ego gets a bit bruised by his brush-off. She’s not accustomed to being the one who gets rejected. Loic is affected by her, but he chooses to keep himself closed of

I never had the opportunity to read any of Ellie Wade's past novels and now I'm beginning to think that I've missed out on a number of hidden gems. She's weaved this heartrending tale of love between two people and while the journey to happily-ever-after may be difficult for them, it seems that all the ups and downs will be worth it. London is a self-entitled, spoiled brat, straight out of a sorority, still unsure what lies ahead for her future. That is until a chance meeting with and standoffish stranger.
Loic’s had a rough start, filled with disappointments and loss. Women are the last thing he wants in his life. But after some chance meetings, he begins to find London hard to resist.
In all honesty, I wasn’t too keen on London as first, but I did find her interesting. She is a spoiled rich kid and loves herself.
