Good book that picks up where Navy SEAL Captive left off. Duff, as well as the rest of the team, are headed back to the States from Mexico after their vacations were interrupted by unforeseen circumstances. With them is Becca, who had come to their assistance when their trouble intersected with her search for her father's murderer. They are close to the coast when their plane crashes into the swamp. It's clear it was no accident when they draw gunfire. It quickly becomes obvious that Becca's investigation has gotten too close, and someone wants her out of the picture.

I really liked Becca and Quentin. Both are independent, intelligent, and have high-risk careers. Becca is focused on her mission and has no intention of letting herself be distracted by the sexy SEAL. Quentin has earned his nickname of "Loverboy," and starts out looking at Becca as a challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him flirt with Becca on the plane and get shut down constantly. He isn't one to give up easily and is determined to keep trying. All of that takes a back seat when he sees the danger that she is in. He volunteers to be her bodyguard when her boss insists she needs one.

I enjoyed the development of Quentin and Becca's relationship. The chemistry between them is strong, even though Becca had tried to deny it. As they worked together to follow the leads, I liked the interactions between them. Quentin is protective, but also recognizes Becca's abilities. Becca is also protective of him, and worries about having drawn him into her troubles. There were some steamy scenes between them, but also some very sweet ones. I liked Quentin's realization that he had found the woman that makes all others fade into the background.

The suspense of the story was great, with nearly non-stop action. Becca was determined to find out who was responsible for her father's death and she wasn't going to let anything stop her. It seemed as though every time she got close to getting some answers, someone would get to her target first. I felt as though I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, as they went from Mississippi to New York to Washington DC. I especially enjoyed the support and participation of the various folks from the SOS agency, including the link with Nicole Steele from Deadly Allure. I love it when characters from other books and series make appearances. The final confrontation was very intense, with a couple of twists and turns before the revealing of the culprit. But not all questions have been answered, and a surprise delivery at the end is a lead-in to the next book in the series.

This romantic suspense was okay with plenty of exciting events and a hero in pursuit but there was something the heroine did near the beginning that seemed kind of dumb. Thereafter, her behavior along with a no-strings relationship felt somewhat unrealistic. SEAL Quentin volunteers to protect special agent Becca who is trying to catch her fathers killer.

I did end up enjoying this story but it took a while. It didn't flow that well for me. The characters where good and had great chemistry. Quentin and Becca are from two different worlds and two different branches of the government. They are thrown together by circumstances in cancun, Becca chasing a lead and Quentin on vacation. The Becca's mission follows them to the US and all hell breaks loose. The romance and suspense runs high and basically believable.

First Question What happened between Carly and Quentin from the Cancun fiasco with Jenna? It was like Carly fell iff the face of the earth. I hope Elle really goes deep in the last book of this series to figure out the mystery and secrets. Lot if action, mystery, suspense, death, revenge corrupt CIA. Quentin continues to help Becca try to find who killed her father and work with the SOS agent. Spending so much time together, getting shot at brings them closer. Let this story be brought to a close.

Another great book. This had all the edge of the first two books and more. You have a way of making things happen. Can't wait to read the next book.

It was fairlyy ok, some good action scenes. I wish she was less independent (I prefer a bit more of a needy/needs rescuing woman trope!) buy was still good.

"Nothing in this world was worth anything if it was easy to attain." - Quentin

Quentin, a Navy SEAL, and Becca, a Stealth Operations Specialist (SOS), are on a flight home from Mexico along with three other SEALs, Sawyer, "Duff," and "Montana," along with Jenna and Natalie, Sawyer and Duff's women respectively. Quentin has appointed himself a personal mission which entails winning over Becca. Not only is she beautiful, but she doesn't seem interested. He's always loved a challenge and he's ready to lay on his considerable charm. Right as he starts making a little headway toward his goal, as in tricking Becca into a kiss, they experience engine trouble. The captain announces they're in for a rough landing and the passengers prepare themselves for the potential impact. Thankfully, they're able to land relatively easy, all things considered, however, their location now creates a different issue.

For Becca, this creates panic as memories from her childhood tear through her mind, reminding her of the plane crash that took her Mom from her, a crash she witnessed at the age of six. Becca doesn't care that they're in the middle of an alligator farm, she just needs air, and away from the crashed plane. Quentin jumps in the water after her and soon they're onboard the rubber raft, their flying companions quickly joining them minutes before the plane explodes. Quentin immediately protects Becca yet again. Becca is grateful for his quick thinking and wishes she could explore the mutual attraction, even though she denies admitting it, between them, but she needs to complete her mission and uncover who's responsible for the assassination of her CIA special agent father. Before their rescue team arrives, they're under fire yet again by whoever took down their plane.

Thankfully their help arrives within minutes. Now the question is what is this related to? Is it Becca's Dad's death? Or the human trafficking ring they busted in Mexico? Or due to the attempt on Sawyer's life which was a ruse to lure his Dad, a Senator, out and ultimately led to the Senator's death? As both Royce, head of the SOS and Becca's boss, and Becca agree that she may now be a target, Quentin offers to be her bodyguard as he still has a few days leave left. Royce accepts his offer, Becca disagrees and is overruled.

As another attempt is thwarted, it becomes apparent that Becca is the target and she decides to go into hiding to protect others from being caught in any crossfire. However, Quentin, taking his bodyguard duties seriously and needing to protect Becca, informs her he goes where she goes.

As they follow leads to uncover who's the mastermind behind the attempts on Becca, and the murder of her Dad and Sawyer's Dad, Quentin and Becca grow closer, their attraction morphing into so much more, leaving both to wonder if they could have a future or if their time together will just be a fond memory.

Will Quentin and Becca discover who's responsible for the deaths of two people and the attempts on Becca? Will Quentin be able to keep Becca safe? Will Becca risk everything to find justice for her Dad? Will Quentin and Becca decide what's growing between them is worth exploring? Will they get a HEA?

One-click now to see how these two run from danger while running towards their future together. While this can easily be read as a standalone, please keep in mind it is book three in the SEAL of My Own series and there are references to previous characters and plots. If you're interested in Duff and Natalie's story, their journey takes place in book one, Navy SEAL Survival, while Sawyer and Jenna's story is told in book two, Navy SEAL Captive.

On a personal note, yes, I get that Quentin's call sign of "Loverboy" is a play on his last name, Lovett, but it also pertains to, and is in fact the actual reason behind it, his success with the ladies. I really could've done without the numerous mentions of him being a ladies' man, the references to having a woman in every port, whether they're said jokingly or in truth, etc. I do not find this characteristic in any way befitting a "hero," and I always lose some of the investment I could've had for the main characters as a couple due to this behavior. Yes, it's no longer a fact once he meets her, the one, but it is something that takes the focus away from them as a couple, and lessens their interactions in my mind. Plus, his sexual past is something she'll always have to live with. I just really wish that aspect would stop being a plot device.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I've only read one Elle James book before and it was one of her western romances, so this was definitely a change of pace. The book had an interesting story line and kept me engaged. I enjoyed the chemistry between Quentin and Becca. Both are strong, independent individuals with high-risk careers. I liked how Becca wasn't one to fall for Quentin's charms and shut him down in the beginning. I equally enjoyed his persistence, however cocky it may have been. The story managed to pack a few surprises, which is always a plus. I definitely didn't expect the mastermind behind all of the attacks to be who he was (I honestly had no idea who it could be). Overall, a fun, relatively quick read. I look forward to reading more of James' work!

I can't wait to read the next one in this series!

Navy SEAL To Die For is the 3rd book in the SEAL of My Own series. It does pretty good as a standalone but some of the backstory for this one appeared in the first two books. While the storyline for Quentin and Becca comes to an HFN (happy for now) there are still unresolved things that have me waiting impatiently for the next book!

Becca’s father, a CIA operative, was murdered and she’s on the hunt to find his killer. She’s a trained Stealth Operations Specialist and is very capable on her own. Quentin is a Navy SEAL. He, and one of his SEAL brothers, is on a private jet with Becca when it is shot down. Everyone survives but it soon becomes apparent that someone is after Becca.

This is an easy and intriguing story to read. Elle James does a great job of keeping the reader guessing as to what will happen next. There is a rich cast of characters and several choices for the “bad guy” but I didn’t have it figured out at all until she wanted me to.

I enjoyed reading this story very much and it kept me entertained for the few hours it took me to read it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I almost forgot! The chemistry between Becca and Quentin is hot and the sexy time is pretty steamy.

This fast-paced read has you jumping from one danger to another with the characters as they hunt for answers to avenge wrong-doings!

A crash landing in the swamp has a SEAL team off and running to keep the crew and passengers on board with them safe as danger lurks. When shootings starts and danger follows after they think all is clear, they figure out that Stealth Operations Specialist Becca Smith is the one in the cross-hairs.

Becca ran into the SEAL team when she came to their aid while in Mexico investigating her father's murder. She's obviously getting too close for comfort for someone, so they're now trying to take her out too. Navy SEAL Quentin "Loverboy" Lovett offers to accompany her on to continue her search for info, and they dodge bad guys and bullets every step of the way. Will they find the answers that lead them to the assassin, or will evil win? And when all is said and done, will they be able to walk away from each other after the dust settles?

I really enjoyed this story! It was another great action filled story with great characters. It picks up where the last book left off, though it could be read as a standalone. There is a bit of an over-arcing them between the 3 books in this series but it's more of interconnected cases that one part gets solved and the next book solves the next part. I don't think you have to read the previous stories in order to understand and fully enjoy this one. Quentin and Becca are great characters and are well written. I love their interaction with each other and how their relationship grows. The sex is explicit and there's a lot of sexual chemistry between the characters. The story reads very smooth and has plenty of action and intrigue going on to keep you interested and wondering what's going to happen next.

I just love Navy SEALs, who doesn't. I loved this book, it had everything you want in a book and more. It has sexy Navy SEALs, a spit-fire female, a plane crash, shooting, sarcasm, and sex. Becca Smith is investigating her fathers murder. Navy SEAL Quentin Lovett and his team mates are on vacation. Becca seems to be immune to Quentin's charm, or is she. Quentin has always been a ladies man, but Becca is set on ending that trend. Quentin's goal is to get Becca in his bed, but first they must find the person trying to kill her. Can she trust him both in and out of bed? You won't regret reading this book, it is awesome.

Navy SEAL to Die For by Elle James, SEAL of My Own book #3, is action-packed, fast-paced, engaging and yet the romance is as pulse-racing as the danger swirling over the main characters.

Someone wants SOS Agent Becca Smith dead and determined to keep her safe is Navy SEAL Quentin Lovett. Their journey is rigged with danger and overcoming these obstacles makes this book an entertaining and worthy read!

I enjoyed this book on two levels 1. as a good mystery and 2. a good romance. The mystery was well written. It keep a lot if intrigue and action for the characters. It also waited for the end to have a kind of conclusion and to be continued story line. The romance seemed event from the start. It was like they were meant to be together.
