I've heard that this book makes some claims that scientists don't agree with. I'm not sure about that. What I know is that the differences she mentions that can actually be seen apply to my body for sure. I've tried fighting this way, and I've tried fighting the "male" way, and honestly, I don't see much of a difference. Maybe it's a little easier to move your hips this way, but also then you get hit in the sword leg a lot. I think it comes out in the wash. ...more

What I found most interesting about the book were the explanations of how the psychological and physical differences between men and women can affect training. It's not just about compensating for differences caused by a shorter stature. ...more
